DDA Chapter 8

I played 1st base. It sure psyched out the other team! :lmao: Katrina was 6 lbs 1 oz and Becky was 6 lb. 5 oz. I was even more sure that the Dr. was wrong about Katrina when Becky was born and wasn't much bigger than Katrina had been.

Hmm.... yeah, it does sound like you were a lot closer on your dates than your OB was! If he/she was right then she would have been 34-35 weeks? That would be huge for that gestation!

I'm so sorry so many of you had bad pregnancy experiences, including you Jennifer. :(

That's what I thought. However, he wouldn't budge! She was 5 weeks premature and that was that! :lmao: It could have had something to do with the bullheaded woman saying that there was no way that she was due at the end of October. She definitely thought she knew better than the doctor. :rotfl:

See, both my kids were planned. Becky was a little of a surprise only from the fact that I had wanted to be off my birth control for the recommended amount of time (I think that was like 3 months or something) and we weren't careful enough so she was a month earlier than we had hoped. Not that we expected to get pregnant right away. We just had hoped to be off as long as recommended. After that, we just figured it would happen when it was meant to.

I feel bad when I hear others stories as well. I was quite lucky really. My labors were relatively short. It was my fault I could barely walk around the block with Becky. I had let myself get out of shape before I got pregnant with her. I was quite sick for the first 4 months when I was pregnant with Katrina but then had such an time for the rest and an easy labor that I figure I got off easy from what I hear others experienced. Becky's delivery was also easy and I was never sick with her.

With that I am going to say have a great day DDA!!

It felt so good this weekend to only minimally use my wrist but that changes today. :( So I hope the Advil works!!

When do you go back to the doctor, Theresa?

Too bad you all weren't dressed in old-timey garb.

Thanks. I think the birds are disappointed though. They always sat in that tree and chirped, right outside my bedroom window, at the buttcrack of dawn. Maybe I should be glad. :teeth:

Actually... one of our students came from the Virginia Renaissance Faire and was in her costuming! She had to leave it on because there are no windows in the bathrooms at the library and it was pitch black in there so no changing!

I would miss the birds... sometimes I open the patio doors at dawn and just listen to them!

Elin, The recital sounds like it went well regardless of the problems. Your students should be prould. BTW, did you ever find out anything else about the piano school you had me call? Are you coming to Atlanta?

It appears that Yamaha Corporation allowed the sale to go through, Denise. They were bragging in their last newsletter that they had such a large number of students in their classes and could not wait to continue.

This cracked us up... They have 7 classes (I teach 17 classes at our school just by myself :confused3 ). Even if all of those were filled to capacity that would be a total of 70 students. We have over 400 students enrolled in our school.

But, yes... I will be coming your direction. We fly in late on August 5, attend the one day seminar on August 6, and fly out that evening. Unless you are REALLY close to the school or our hotel (which I don't have info on yet) I bet we won't get to see one another as we are on a very tight schedule. :(

After receiving flack about my last belly picture ;), I thought I'd share one I just did for my mom the other day.... it's hopefully the last! :yo-yo::upsidedow

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this photo, Jennifer. But I have to say that your back must be killing you. That is a lot of baby projecting out the front!

Truthfully, the lower back pain you might expect is not too terrible. First, I always have some so maybe I'm just used to it ;) Second, dancing so much that my back is generally "ruined" actually might have some protection against that lower back pain, because the curve is already thrown the opposite direction out of whack :rotfl: My back pain is spasms around the bra line, from a stupid rib that won't go back into place even though the babies have moved down. I keep telling it.... :rolleyes1

You're right though, it's all out in front. From the back, I look skinnier than I used to  I don't know if, again, dancing helped keep the "core" muscles and stuff together....? Who knows. My mom will confirm, it's certainly not genetics! She carried ALL over! ;)

When do you go back to the doctor, Theresa?

Wednesday...but not to the same dr. turns out when he says he wanted to see me this week he forgot he had 2 weeks of classes:confused3 . Appointment taker asked if I wanted another dr or if I wanted to wait until the 16th....I told her I'd like to find out if I've got a broken wrist before then...lady acted like that was crazy talk!!

this was my thought too!!

You are a total Disney Maniac!

You have correctly answered 20 of 20 questions.

The average of surfers gave 15.15 correct answers.

Where are they located? I'll be starting my new job at Northside (Perimeter area of I285) on Aug 4th.

 Maybe she is a masochist and revels in hearing the screams of pain when those bones have to be re-broken...

Atlanta Music Education Center at 4100 Five Forks Trickum Road in Lilburn... Let's keep in touch and maybe we can have a fly-by hugging, at least!

I have my final four recitals today and I do not want to go! I have done all the work and everything is set up. What do you think are the chances I could phone in my part of these things???

... That's what I thought. :rotfl2:

Jennifer - Very nice belly pic!

So it turns out Macy's does expect you to pay the difference if you bought something on sale and then exchange it for another size. I find that beyond stupid. I politely asked for a manager. I never do that. The manager exchanged them for me without making me pay the difference, so maybe I should ask for a manager more often! :rotfl2: I usually don't exchange things, I usually buy and return. If he wouldn't have let me switch without paying the difference I would have flat out returned them and not bought anything else, so he made a good choice.
The sales associate was trying to tell me Macy's would lose money if they exchanged them. HOW? If they have 3 pairs of full price shorts and trade them with me they STILL have 3 pairs of full price shorts! Silly girl!

I took the giant shorts back to Nordstrom and got 2 more pairs in a different style so I THINK we're all set now. :rolleyes1

Only 2 days of school left for DS! He watched The Simpsons Movie in band today! :scared1: We wouldn't let him see it in the theater! I thought the school wasn't allowed to show PG-13 movies! Oh, well. I guess it isn't that big of a deal. DS was thrilled! :bitelip:
