i need some pixie dust the next month or so. my dad called his heart doctor yesterday and told them he isn't feeling to hot. dad is scheduled for a heart cath next Thursday and he might get rolled to surgery from the cath or wait a day or so to have his valve replaced. mom and i are also having a tiff about the dog going on the cruise. so i need pixie dust mom and i get over it asap and dad does well during the cath and surgery.
Sending lots of PD. I saw that the cruise is probably pushed back. Randy's brother had vallve replacement two months ago, and he has just been cleared to go back to work. I think he's in his early 60s. How are you feeling? You had mentioned you had gained a lot of water weight and you had a call in to your doctor. I hope you aren't retaining anymore.
Disney Cruise line called and said they have discontinued the Banana boat rides at
Castaway Cay....a little bit last minute if you ask me.
Rats! You guys will still have a terrific time on CC.
Hmmm..I wonder why?
Are you bringing your own hair dryer? I ask because the ones on the cruise are very week. You cannot plug in a hairdryer in the bathroom (only shavers) so if you do bring your own, I would also bring an extension cord. I brought a 3 foot one & it was great.
Don't be too worried about anything. They have items on board if you forget toiletries even clothes. I was in a panic before the cruise thinking the same thing you are now. Now I know better for next time. Enjoy!!
Absolutely -- a multi-plug adaptor is a must. We had so many batteries to charge (camera's, game boys, PSPs etc.) that we had to have the adaptor.
Just curious, but who all is thinking of taking a
Disney cruise next year?
Okay -- another plug for August 1, 2009 Eastern...
Chanon - Thanks again for making the changes for me!!
We are now officially set for Sept 19-28. Free dining, moved to All-Star Music instead of Sports which I think I'll like a little better, the end of F&WF, and all but one of my ADRs found. Now to just keep calling for the last one.
Jennifer, let me know what your plans are and we'll see if we overlap. I think we're doing
MNSSHP on the same night at least (Tues, right?).
Congrats!
I am getting better at one and a half hand typing
I am so glad nobody has seen me getting ready this morning or for my first left handless shower
I hope your are healing and feeling better!
Ditto!
Have a wonderful trip Lindsay!!!
Have a wonderful trip Tia!!!
Just a quick pop in...
Kristine, Lindsay and Glynis-

for safe journeys and magical trips all around.
Bernadette- Hope you feel better.
Elizabeth- Congrats to DS!!!
Theresa- I hope your wrist is feeling better.
I know there is more that I've missed but I've got to run. It's Field Day. Emma woke up telling me that her ear is "copying her", which more than likely means she has an ear infection. She says she still wants to go. I guess if it's bothering her later we will visit the urgert care. Lucy had a fever of 102 yesterday but is otherwise acting normal. I am hoping and praying that it's her teeth. When will it end? You ought to see all the medicine dispensers in the dishwasher!
Have a great day and I will chat later. But before I go here are the 2 cakes I did yesterday. The rainbow one I took to Brownies and everyone loved it. My neighbor down the street said she was going to put up a sign in my yard to bring in some business! It was chocolate with buttercream.
I hope Mo, Emma and Lucy all feel better. The cakes were great!
Tia -- hope Rachel feels better too!
Elin, Tammi or Robyn -- have any of you been to the National Archives? If so, do you think kids would be interested? Our current intern worked for a Cong. last semester and booked the Cong. tours. She said she loved the archives, but I'm wondering what kids 6 - 12 years old would think of it.
Elizabeth -- I hope DS has fun bowling if he decides to go. Did you tell him how proud we are of him?
Both boys rocked on their Stanford tests. If it wasn't for that "little" dyslexic thing that brought down spelling and language... I'm so thankful to have them at that school...I'm so thankful to have them at that school... (trying to keep telling myself that as I wrote their tuition checks yesterday -- ouch!)
Big baseball tournament in Waco this weekend. I'm already nervous. Andrew is still playing well with his rec team, but playing tentatively and with less confidence on the select team. I'm only working 6:30 - 10:30 today, taking the boys to swimming, then going home to finish packing as we leave early today.
Have a good weekend everyone!
