DDA Chapter 8

Elin, I'm probably gonna need my foot in mouth smilie...

Karen, is it possible for the service dog to go with the puppy raiser for a few days? Or would that confuse him? I know the puppy raisers here have a support system for when they have to go out of town or something. I don't know if they extend that curtisy to the end users or not??? I can really understand your reluctance to go during your bonding period.

I think that is a valid suggestion, Stephanie! :thumbsup2

We definitely do need to get together again. Maybe a weekend when Elin will be in Boston :confused3 Or not. The kids had a great time and would love to do it again.

We are in the Boston area from June 27-July 4. I think that is when you are gone, Deb. :(

The temperature dropped from the high 70s to the low 40s while we were sitting there.

I am sorry the boys lost their game, but I wish our temps would drop a bit. It is still 80 here and very humid. I am a skinflint and refuse to turn the air on until June. :rotfl2:

Thanks. I am just glad they packed up their negativity & moved 1000 miles from us 4 years ago so we only have to see them once a year at the most.
They are small minded, racist, arrogant, deceptive, ignorant people & unfortunately they are raising my neice & nephew to be just like them.

Ok I am done complaining about them..rant over.:faint:

Sounds like quite a few of the DDA kidlets need some hugs and PD. Consider it sent!

I am caught up and eating my dinner. I had two recitals tonight and have 4 tomorrow. I need to get programs done. I hope to check in before bedtime.

I hope everyone has enjoyable evenings! :)

Anne Marie - Are these the people who expect you to watch their kids all summer?

::yes:: :mad: :rolleyes1

Yay! I would love to celebrate my birthday at Disney but going in July is not going to happen. At least the end of August is less crowded. I can take the heat or the crowds but not both together.:crowded:

then you would have loved our weather the last couple of days...I almost broke out the long sleeves!! It's barely gotten into the 60's....actually I would have loved it had it been sunny!!

I must be nuts because I didn't think either were bad last summer...but I could have just been thrilled to be in Disney again after so long!!

Yes, you were intoxicated by the Disney magic!::yes:: :thumbsup2
I felt that way this April. The place was packed & yet we got alot done & the crowds just didn't seem to matter. However we had beautful weather. ( we weren't sticking to each other! )

We will be at WDW over those dates. I'm sure you will be up to visit again though.

I refuse to even put our airconditioners in the windows until AFTER our trip :rotfl: That was rough on our work crew this weekend as it was pretty warm in here. We did open all the doors and windows and had a bit of a breeze. Of course my parents NEVER put their air conditioners in so they don't have much room to complain

I took my calendar out while waiting for the game to start and I noticed the dates too. I wonder if she was looking at old info? I plan to call back tomorrow.
Let us know what you find out.

I honestly thought Baltimore/Washington DC was worse..stickiness wise.

(I don't know if you've noticed but I am still nuts!!:confused3 :goodvibes )

Oh & we have been discussing where we'd like to stay next year & I would like to give the Poly another try. Dana likes the new look of the Contemporary so maybe we can do a split stay at each. Looks like we will go the last 2 weeks of August as that time does not interfere with school.:thumbsup2

Anne Marie - Are these the people who expect you to watch their kids all summer?

I think we'll go the second week of August next year, and the first week of August in 2010 so the APs will cover both trips. Hey! 2010 will be my 40th birthday! Definitely the first week of August in 2010!!
Look at you two planning over a year away. I can't even get my days and ADRs figured out for December, and my 180 day window is fast approaching. The hardest thing for me is deciding which night to do Epcot. There are many green nights throughout my week, but the narrator for the CP will be the deciding factor. And that won't be release until who knows when. Probably the same time they get off their duffs and release November's hours!

3 suitcases packed...2 to go :faint:...I did get an email from the concierge guy that we definitely have a Savannah view, so I was excited about that. I can't wait to be on that plane so I don't have to worry about anything else

I was just saying to Bob, that after our hazy, hot and humid weather that we had today, I don't know how I'm going to take WDW in August! (I need Anne Marie's panting smiley.)

Pretty soon!!!

I'm glad that you are making progress. You are going to have SO much fun. It really sounds like a trip of a lifetime. Someday I would love to do the cruise.

woohoo!! I am so happy for you!!

Well, free dining snapped up those reservations! I called for some ADRs today to finalize my decision whether to move our trip to cover F&WF. It looks like I'll have to give up 3 ADRs if we move - LeCellier (never tried it), new Tusker House breakfast (also new) and 'Ohana (a new favorite after last trip). I'll also probably have to give up our 2nd Wishes to do F&WF. So, now I'm back to the drawing board. Gotta decide which I want more. :scratchin Either way, though, I think we're going for Sept.

I know once we are in the air I will be fine...right now I am feeling overwhelmed....these kids just want to bring EVERYTHING!! Jackie hands me 6 pairs of shoes :scared1:

I thought, never mind. The concierge villas are NOT guaranteed savannah view, the hotel rooms are. Congrats on savannah view!
Yay for packing!:cool1:
You really don't worry once you are on the plane? I can still find PLENTY to worry about on the plane, but if you don't worry on the plane then I won't share those topics with you. :rolleyes1

At least someone in your family could find shoes :rotfl: :rotfl:
