DDA Chapter 8

Kristine-I am sorry to hear such sad news about Jackie's classmate.

Deb-I like #2 and Chris is so built (please excuse my bluntness) that I doubt anybody would ever think he was wearing a ladies shirt.

Chris likes them all, but wants #2 on a shirt. He has always wanted it to simply say "I ate the Kitchen Sink". The pink is because of the walls at Beaches and Cream though most people won't think of that. I offered to change the coloring, but he thinks he likes it that way. I'm afraid that people will think he is wearing a woman's shirt

I doubt they will think Chris is wearing a woman's shirt! :lmao: He is definitely too macho looking for that to happen. Is there something on the wall at Beaches & Cream, you could add to the background to make it more clear what it is to help you not worry about it?

We're sharing one of the DDA brains tonight! :rotfl:

I read that to Chris and I think he may have blushed  He says that real men can wear pink :lovestruc

We created a fake school id for Becky when she was just 16. She didn't have her license yet and the school doesn't have photo id's. This worked for us but it was several years ago.

Was she traveling by herself, though? That's the thing about Diva Girl - she won't have anybody else with her. If she traveled with me I am not her parent or guardian, though my maiden name is my middle name so that would match her last name. At any rate, she needs valid picture ID.

The more I thought about it, the more I think she should stay home and take driver's ed! Mom wants her to have her very own car BEFORE she has a job, which is asinine, but whatever. If she is going to take driver's ed she should do it NOW while nothing else is going on with Mom.

I'm so sorry to hear this Kristine. I hope Jackie doesn't suffer too much from the news.

Kristine, how sad! Was Jackie good friends with him? Even if they were just acquaintances I am sure this is hard for her.

When the girls have travelled by themselves they have only needed the school id....and it's been checked that Cassidy can just use her school id this summer when the mission trip goes to New York.

So I've been taking them around 10 and picking them up at 3, after their swim time. Oh well, it gives them something to do and they can play with their friends. Maybe on Friday they will want to stay home with me. :(

And me! Tell them we are doing a field trip and lunch and maybe they will want to play with us... :goodvibes

I hear you Elizabeth. How about if you called your Selfish and said "I NEED you to pay for half of DG's ticket" so mom can get some rest and she can help YOU out"? Would she?

That is a good idea... worth a shot, Elizabeth!

I went into work & stocked up on water. The health department is making their rounds being sure tap water is not being used. So no coffee(our morning drinkers are going to get cranky lol), no fountain drinks, & no ice.

A manager from McDonalds was in buying all of our coke/diet coke to sell at their restaurant  We are officially out of gallons of water & have a few cases of small bottles left at work. Hopefully stores will be able to get more in or better yet, this boil order will be over quickly.

Hi everyone....

Today my cell phone rang and it was Jackie's teacher....she says, "I have some bad news" In my mind I immediately thought she was going to tell me that since I pulled Jackie out of school that somehow she was going to have to repeat the 7th grade!!

Unfortunately she called to tell us that one of Jackie's classmates died!! Talk about shocking...before I thought it through, I told her....she has been perplexed the whole rest of the day.

Please keep the family of Jimmy Moore in your thoughts...I can't imagine what they must be going through
o no..so sorry to hear this
Terry...

That is an amazing family photo!!!
i agree---amazing!

What terrible news. Hope Jackie is handling it well..Prayers for the family.

Deb,

Janet,
Oh no! Hope they get the water issue taken care of soon!

Elizabeth,
More:goodvibes for you.

Terry,
What a beautiful family & proud mama right in the middle!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

Elizabeth- Sending more prayers and :wizard: for the whole situation.

Kristine- I am sorry that you got such bad news. Prayers for the boy's family and Jackie.

Janet- I hope you can kick the sickies fast. :wizard:

Beth- :wizard: for you as you try to work with the new director. Crazy people.

Deb- Those shirts are fabulous.

Amy- When have you known any of us to listen?!?:confused3 I think Noah will be arriving way before July 4th. :wizard:

Tammi, thanks for the link to that horse cake. I tried something new (I traced and filled in a horse picture with icing then froze it to put on the cake) but I am afraid it might not work. I am hoping it does because all I'll need to do is just frost the cake and add a border. If it doesn't then I am going with that cake!

I know there is more I missed but now that Emma and Allyson are here all day it has thrown my routine out the window. I really need to rework my day. And since Lucy isn't napping well with her teeth bothering her I can't figure out a schedule that works. I want to give the older girls an hour of my time one on one to do something fun but I also want/need at least some "me" time in there too which is proving impossible. Add to the fact that Allyson is here really only part time and it varies from day to day. I think by the time I get it figured out it will be time to go back to school!

I went out and got my hair cut this evening. We have this hair academy , cheap and far better than then local hair cuttery place up the road, not far from here that I gave a try. The girl that has cut my hair the past few years moved to the eastern shore and it was becoming a pain to get our schedules to match. I ended up liking the new girl very much (we talked a lot about Disney and her desire to go) and she will be in training til next July so that's good.

You don't need this on top of not feeling well. I guess you could always order water from Staples :lmao: Like we do for our trips.

I washed the t-shirt, dried it with no softner, printed the design and ironed it on. After letting it cool I pulled the parchment paper off...No wait...The damn paper would not come off. I've got the shirt in the wash now hoping to wash the paper off. And I thought I was making progress.

What time are we doing the tour? The 10:30 one? Should we make a ressie? How long is the carriage ride? Their website doesn't say much. Do they give you a bunch of history like the trolley tour?

Alyssa is staying home with me tomorrow and we are going to have a girl's day...........washing the van. :rotfl2:

:scared1: What happened? Ironed it too long? Old parchement paper?
