DDA Chapter 8

I bought everyone the polos from Disney shopping for Christmas. The girls all have pink and the boys all have light blue. We have navy shorts with ours, but I'm not sure what the others will do for shorts.

That will be cute. I just went though 28 pages of mostly text on the "Resort Photos" thread and I still don't have any ideas. Well, I have one SORT OF idea. If I wear a print with 2 colors in it and put DS and DH in solids of those same 2 colors it might look nice. But I don't have a print top like that. And the colors most likely to be in a print I would like are black and white. It will be too hot for black, and we are all too pale to wear white. Besides, DS has to wear a white polo shirt to school every single day, so ALL of his school photos (except his band photo) are in a white polo. DS has some really nice blue shirts - a sky blue Polo T-shirt and a nice kind of periwinkle polo. But then what to do with DH and me? Decisions, decisions...

As for the size 4.....I was a size 4 once.....when I was 2!!:rotfl2

All of the end of the year outdoor parties at school are being cancelled too. Nicholas' class was supposed to have a picnic today, Alyssa's beach party was supposed to be tomorrow. Bummer.

That is truly too bad...

Right before high school graduation I got promoted to asst. mgr. at the store where I worked. I agreed to work every Sunday through graduation so I would be able to meet 40 hours, on top of going to school. I was in DECA, so my school days weren't regular length but I still had to be there for the first 5 classes every day. A few weeks after graduation I got mono. I dropped 12 pounds in 2 weeks. I was a size 4 for awhile after that.

Hope everyone is well!! I had one of the most exhausting days of my life at Universal....we did the 1 day 2 park tour. I updated the trip report with some pics....will check back in later.

I just spent a gazillion $$. Well, not that much but it seems like it. I bought my dad and Outback gift card for father's day. I got gift certificates for 3 teachers from Teach N Stuff, our local teaching supply store. Plus I bought the kids workbooks for the summer. I bought tickets for all 5 of us to go see Grease at our local dinner theater Friday night. That is Bob's f-day gift. For the kids' dad I am regifting a wine bottle opener that I got for Christmas. I got a cashmere scarf for Mother's day. Don't ask me where he bought that in May. I was thinking of buying him gloves, but didn't want to waste my time searching for them.

Elin and Anne Marie, thanks for the info on NYC. He's left it up to me, and I can't decide between a romantic Caribbean cruise or NYC. We haven't done either one.

I don't usually read trip reports (except DDA'ers of course ) but CampbellScott is in the middle of writing an amazing one that I know some of you have been reading along with also.

Anyway there is a thread that dis'ing her and now they are getting bold and actually posting not so nice stuff on her trip report....so if you have been reading along please show her the love tonight!! Thanks!!

Aidan Update: (CI stands for his cochlear implant)

Today Aidan had a check up on his CI and all is well. They actually turned him up a little more and all channels are activated. This means he is hearing all sounds, still working on understanding sounds, but is able to hear them.

We also got some great news. He has been approved for his second C.I. without any fight. What a blessing that is and we don't have to hire a lawyer to assist us.

So now we are waiting to schedule and soon we will have a bi-lateral child. Now we need to get him eating food and learning to crawl and walk.

I hate that feeling of a losing a lot of money but I love the regifting....keep your eye out for the gloves for 4th of July!!

I stopped posting TRs over there because it is such a clique-y thing. And we never had pics to post, so we never got much traffic. I will think about maybe doing a little live update like Kristine's. Maybe I'll post some food porn. We'll just have to see.

She's been pm'ing me to thank me for the back covering....it's not on this board...it's on the one everybody who has been banned is at. I guess it's gotten really, really personal over there...I told her I went through some of the personal attacks earlier this year so I know where she is coming from.

I can't wait for a live update from you!!!
