I cried off and on throughout the entire ceremony. There are many reasons I did, but the most important one is that I was so very proud of her.

I agree 100%, Debbie, that having grown daughters is a delightful outcome to raising little girls! Kathrin and Kristin and I left Bob far behind in our conversations over the past 24 hours. Luckily he doesn't mind.... he just sat there and grinned at us. :goodvibes

Sorry to hear this Tom

We just got home from taking Mom out to her monthly dinner. She is just not doing too great. She is showing signs of dementia, and has lost her ability to stay balanced, even with a walker.
The nursing staff is going to be testing her with different medications to see if they can help.
It just seems weird to see my Mom this way.

Robyn I hope the little ones feel better soon :wizard:

Becky hope you can relax some this weekend!

Deb good luck to the boys for their game tomorrow!

Hi folks...

What a day....today was Kirsten shopping day in preparation for the trip. 20 bathing suits later I was worried they were going to have to perform CPR on me in the dressing room...I am thrilled to say that we did leave with 2 bathing suits, 2 dresses a handful of shorts, a couple of shirts, etc. I even found 2 pairs of sandals & a pair of water shoes. 1 down...3 more to go :scared1: (this includes Bill)

I was informed today that I am to serve as "Field Marshall" for next weekends soccer tournament....I am not really even sure what that means...so I am not too thrilled.

Swimsuits are evil.
The only "marshall" I know about is the one on the golf course. So good luck with that!

I had to bring Emma to the doctor this morning. Poor kid has one nasty yeast infection. I was hoping she escaped that since she was off the antibiotic on Monday.

Then I brought her to soccer. The coach is dad to 2 of the girls on her team and they didn't want to play-they were looking at a Disney princess book they brought with them. Why did he let them bring that???? So then none of the other girls wanted to play either. I felt bad for the coach of the other team-they only had 3 girls. At first Emma was playing for the other team but when the coach of her team couldn't get 4 girls on the field he had Emma put her shirt back on and they played 3 vs 3 so the girls on the other team never got a break. I think she only has a few weeks left.

Poor Emma! I hope she feels better quick!
Maybe the field marshall should have made them put the book in the car. :rolleyes1

HI,

So I ended up staying at Relay for Life from last night until about 12:30pm today. Of course I did not sleep while there. I came home and went straight to bed and only got up after 7pm. I threw some laundry in the washer as I needed to wash my shirt for Dorney tomorrow, as I know better then to wear it without washing it first. I can not risk a rash, being itchy or not able to breath due to an unwashed shirt. I almost put my Relay shirt on and then changed my mind.

Tomorrow it is Dorney day. Then Monday back to work. I hope my trip gets approved.

Hope all of you are having good weekends. I am behind so if I miss anything important please PM me.

Get some rest, Becky!!

Enjoy dinner tonight Anne Marie!

Sorry about the childcare you will be dealing with this summer. I love my inlaws, but I would be very upset if they did this to me. They should have asked you first :sad2:

You know, I wouldn't take care of the extra kids unless you REALLY want to. "No" is a magical word! ;) They can't MAKE you take care of their kids.

Tom, I am so sorry. :guilty: That must be very difficult for you. I hope the changes in medication are helpful. :wizard:

Robyn - I never liked NKOTB. I haven't paid any attention to their big come back, and I didn't know they were coming to Dallas. But if that floats your boat then I think you should go! :rotfl2:

Bernadette - We are enjoying your pics! And DH said to wish you a late happy birthday. :)

Babysitting was fine. The kids were WILD when I got there but they settled down by dinner time. They really are the only other family I sit for besides Princess. I guess I could do some networking and bulk up my clientele, but I don't really want to!
I came home and DS was asleep on the living room floor, lights and TV on. He was wearing his glasses, NOT wearing his retainers. And he got mad when I shooed him off to bed. Ungrateful thing.

Tammi have you considered a cruise? A last minute cruise would be so much fun and could be very cost effective :thumbsup2
Yes, I've looked at them online, and was hoping there would be something doable out of Baltimore or Norfolk, but they still seem to be around $600 pp. The better deals are out of FL, and then there is that whole airfare issue. We'll see what happens over the next few days.

Hi guys, I thought I would show you the newest things that I have been making.

Bags and wallets!

DW loves the Ver@ Br@dley bags, so I thought I would come up with a different version!

This is one for her friend. She picked aqua colors, not my favorite color, but I think it still turned out pretty good, except for a few of my "goof ups".

(I accidentally put the zipper in upside down! Zippers are not fun!):sad2:

And yes, I did quilt the fabric myself!

We were at the mall the other day, and DW got so many complements on her bag. She kept telling everyone that I made it, and they wanted business cards. I guess I should get some printed.
Not sure I want to start that though!
Tom, those are very pretty! I love the colors. I'll take one just like it. ;) :thumbsup2

I'm glad that you got the visitation/transportation issue worked out well. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can buy him out!

My sister's ex was a nonentity for so many years, we kind of got used to not hearing from him. Now that their child is 16, he wants her to come spend time with him and his family in Texas. Keep in mind that Marina (my niece) has not seen him since she was 8 years old, and at that time, she was so scared of him that she threw up all over him. He wants her to come spend a couple of weeks with him, but she doesn't want to. Luckily, she doesn't HAVE to agree to it, she just has to be given the option. Matthew, however, doesn't accept that, and so he is really harassing my sister. He makes threatening phone calls, etc. They've been taping his calls, and they really make me worried. Luckily, the police are taking them really seriously, so hopefully nothing bad will happen.
Thanks. And see, no matter how bad I think I have it, there always seems to be a situation worse than mine.

As myBob says, he's probably taking a 'mental snapshot'. :goodvibes

We had a wonderful but busy day. First we went to see Narnia. It was good, but not enough Aslan. Caspian is VERY cute. :goodvibes: Then I took Alyssa to the mall to exchange some dresses and we ended up with even more clothes than we exchanged. I also took her to Libby Lu to buy something with a gift card she got for her bday. While we were doing that Bob and Nicholas went to the batting cage. He said Nicholas did real well. We'll see at his first practice on Monday night. Then we went to church and out to dinner. Somewhere in there I managed to do 3 loads of laundry too. Tomorrow, actually today, I need to go to the grocery store and do some more laundry. We also have a cookout to go to in the afternoon. I hope the rain holds off.

Well I got the shirts done, some shopping done, and I've started packing, still have a lot to get taken care of today.
