Hi guys, I thought I would show you the newest things that I have been making.

Bags and wallets!

DW loves the Ver@ Br@dley bags, so I thought I would come up with a different version!

This is one for her friend. She picked aqua colors, not my favorite color, but I think it still turned out pretty good, except for a few of my "goof ups".

Bag and Wallet:

(I accidentally put the zipper in upside down! Zippers are not fun!)

Inside of bag with zippered pocket and 2 patch pockets:

And yes, I did quilt the fabric myself!

We were at the mall the other day, and DW got so many complements on her bag. She kept telling everyone that I made it, and they wanted business cards. I guess I should get some printed.
Not sure I want to start that though!

:worship: :worship: I bet you COULD make a living doing this :worship: :worship:

Terry and her friend Carol are downtown so she had cellphone coverage. She called and said Hal ow ow ow was really hurting today, and was sitting in the recliner getting ready to soak in the hot tub.

But the trip down was great and she and Hal ow ow ow are having a wonderful time. I suppose he and Bruce will save the world a little later.:thumbsup2

DGD and I are on the way to Costco. The cuboards are bare. This is not good. This means that I have to stock up on things like paper towels and sirloin burgers and Tide. Checkout won't be pretty. There will be lots of crying and nashing of teeth.:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :scared:

My DGD and I went to the bank this morning and we opened up a checking account for her. She can have an ATM card with Visa so she can buy her own Itunes and Abercrobie &F sweaters and guitar hero games out of her own funds.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :teacher:

Have a great weekend DDA!!!:dance3:

Poor Hal ow ow ow.

Wow, your DGD is growing up so quickly

We just cleaned up a huge mess in the laundry room. The liquid laundry detergent fell off the dryer and spilled all over the floor :headache: :sad2: It took lots of wet rags to get it all mopped up, but I shouldn't slip on the floor now. That load of rags should be extra clean once it runs through the washer:sad2: Of course I need to run to work now. It is gorgeous outside and I don't want to go. The kids game went well. We lost, but we had a good 1st half. They will be trying a new goalie tomorrow and that may help things too. The one they have now refuses to listen and insists on doing it his way :sad2:

Enjoy the rest of your day. I'm sure I won't:upsidedow

Not sure I want to start that though!

You are extremely talented! I would definitely be interested in a set, especially if it included Mickey!

Terry - I hope Hal is feeling better soon.

Deb - Sounds like an awful mess, hope you have a good night at work.

Bernadette - I would love to see your pictures.

Janet - Sorry about the debit card fiasco, where in MS were the purchases made? DD had that happen to her and the best we could figure was a waitress got her number when she gave it to her for her meal, luckily the first purchase they tried to make was a web site that was flagged.

Elizabeth - Congrats on your DVC purchase!

Tia - Have a safe trip

Jen - Better get packing, (like I have any room)

Jennifer - glad to see you're still at home

Amy - Thank you

Elin - Congrats to Kristen! I bet you get all choked up when you see her, (just like I did)

Robyn - Poor Emma, I'm sure the year end can't come soon enough.

I'm now sporting Palm Trees on my toes, it was my daughter's idea. :rotfl:
We had our spa pedicures and had a nice lunch and sat and talked for quite a while, it was really nice. There are definitely good things about having grown daughters.

I'm off to get our shirts done.

I was mostly just giving you a hard time :) I can't imagine overhauling all of those plans so close to your trip! I still think, however, there will always be SOME planning debacles.... with ADRs or something! It wouldn't be fun without a little bit of replanning, no? :goodvibes

I don't mind moving an ADR here and there.
DH asked me last night what on earth made me think to call and buy in so we could cover part of THIS trip with the points. I guess the thing that started it was talking to the resale rep. None of the resale stuff had any available points on it, but she said IF they got one they COULD ask the seller about making the ressie for us and closing the sale after we came home. So I had already sort of thought about it. Then when we found out we could get nights on points (even this late in the game) it was a no-brainer to have the money we already paid for the room refunded and apply it to the purchase.

Tom - REALLY, you could make a living with your sewing. Just saying... :rolleyes1

Deb - Sorry about the detergent! We had that happen once. I had the bottle on the little "ledge" on the back of the washer, and the bottle kind of worked it's way over to the corner. The vibration of the washer was enough for the corner to puncture a hole in the botom of the bottle along the seam. NOT FUN!
I am leaving to go babysit in about 45 minutes. Love the kids, but I don't usually go over this early so I'm kind of dragging my feet.

Hi folks...

What a day....today was Kirsten shopping day in preparation for the trip. 20 bathing suits later I was worried they were going to have to perform CPR on me in the dressing room...I am thrilled to say that we did leave with 2 bathing suits, 2 dresses a handful of shorts, a couple of shirts, etc. I even found 2 pairs of sandals & a pair of water shoes. 1 down...3 more to go :scared1: (this includes Bill)

I was informed today that I am to serve as "Field Marshall" for next weekends soccer tournament....I am not really even sure what that means...so I am not too thrilled.

Tom....your talents continue to amaze me....thankfully looking at your finished products seem to satisfy my own sewing urges!! :rotfl:

Tom, awesome. :thumbsup2 If you decide to make Disney ones, let me know. :)

Things are okay, he is just a thorn in my side. We now have legal paperwork documenting his visitation, and I've been awarded exclusive possession of the house. Which means that even though he is still part owner he cannot come into the house. Oh, and the big one that he was a stickler about....he has to provide transportation for his visitation. He was having me meet him halfway to pick up the kids on Sunday evenings. After discussing with his attorney he decided that it was going to be a losing battle so he finally agreed to it. That was a biggie with me. Everyday the kids are my responsibility, taking them to daycare, sports, doctors, dentists, homework, extra curricular activities, etc. plus hold down a full time job. He could at least drive 20 minutes every other weekend. On the 30th he has an appraisor coming out to look at the house. That is the next and last major hurdle, buying him out. Hopefully I will be able to afford it. At least for the short term. Sorry if that was more of an answer than you wanted. I appreciate you asking.

I'm glad that you got the visitation/transportation issue worked out well. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can buy him out!

My sister's ex was a nonentity for so many years, we kind of got used to not hearing from him. Now that their child is 16, he wants her to come spend time with him and his family in Texas. Keep in mind that Marina (my niece) has not seen him since she was 8 years old, and at that time, she was so scared of him that she threw up all over him. He wants her to come spend a couple of weeks with him, but she doesn't want to. Luckily, she doesn't HAVE to agree to it, she just has to be given the option. Matthew, however, doesn't accept that, and so he is really harassing my sister. He makes threatening phone calls, etc. They've been taping his calls, and they really make me worried. Luckily, the police are taking them really seriously, so hopefully nothing bad will happen.

Today was Mother/Daughter day here. Alan and Jacob camped last night, and so we made a night/morning of it. This morning we got up and went to breakfast at McDonald's. I love those fruit salads!!! Then we did some shopping at Walmart and found a skort and 2 pairs of capris for Katie for London. We also found some flip flops for the twins, and some other fun stuff. Then, we made a quick run to the library for movies for the kids for this weekend. Finally, came home, and found that Alan has been able to fix the water line to our fridge that broke last Saturday. Did I mention that? It leaked into our floor, and the ceiling in our basement kind of collapsed because of it. Well, it's all fixed now, with new tubing, and seems to be working just fine. No leaks!!! Now, Alan just has to fix the basement ceiling. Lots of repair projects for him while I'm in London.

We decided to go out tonight and let Katie babysit. We are going to dinner at our favorite Chinese buffet place, and then we're going to see Prince Caspian. I can't wait! I love the Narnia books, so I'm thrilled to see this! We wanted to see it before we let the kids see it. Gotta make sure it's not too scary!

See y'all later!

I spent far too many hours today online shopping. We've been having issues with Colby keeping his sneakers on. He is always taking them off because his feet are too hot. He needs to wear his sneakers as those are what the arch supports fit into. His sandals and crocs are not orthodics friendly. I ended up finding a few brands of sandals that have heels built in and toes too. I found a pair of merrells for Colby. I'm hoping they will solve the problem. Of course when his brothers heard about them they "needed" some for themselves. Unfortunately the Merrells didn't come in their sizes so I searched and searched for similar sandals that weren't too expensive. I ended up finding some Teva's that are similar and those are now ordered too.
Hope those work for the boys!

I have trouble getting shoes to fit. There is no way I could wear crocs all day in the parks. I have large bunions so I need a shoe wide enough to accomodate those but my heal is narrow so my heal is always sliding around in my shoe. I always have painful feet at Disney. On my trip with Emma I wore croc flip flops (I think they have more arch support than regular crocs) into the park one night for about 4 hours and I think my limit was about 3-but thankfully no blisters. I also tried my Keen sandals one night and those were pretty good but I still don't think I could wear those all day.

Three weeks from today, we'll be watching Wishes.

Things are okay, he is just a thorn in my side.
:wizard: Good luck with they house buyout.

We are all here and everyone has gone to his/her own bed except me. We had a nice time talking in the lounge and got a bite to eat. We plan to be up and at breakfast by 9:00 in the morning and ready to head over to the Performing Arts Center by noon for the graduation ceremonies. The majority of the University has their ceremony at the Coliseum at 9:00 a.m. I feel very fortunate that we don't have to sit there for hours and never really see Kristin go across the stage and receive her diploma. At least with the Theatre Dept doing their own (the entire School of the Arts does separate ceremonies) we will be up close and personal with her.
Congratulations to Kristin!

So, how about shirts for Cape May?
That would be fun!

Well, I guess I had better get moving. I just offered to take Terra out to breakfast this morning as she did soooo well this week. I was a little worried about how she'd handle the sudden change of having 3 kids around all of the time, especially a baby, but she was so good. She helped feed BabyGirl a few times, volunteered to help me mop the kitchen yesterday, picked up toys without fussing almost every time I asked, took her dishes to the kitchen every time without being asked. Guess I underestimated how well she'd adjust. If we're going to do that before we need to hit the road, I guess I'd better get showered and dressed.

Have a great Saturday everyone!!
Hope you had a great time at the party! It's wonderful that Terra is doing so great!!!

My evil BIL & SIL

11.gif
will be here in 2 weeks. Seems they don't like the daycare for their 2 kids where they live so they are going to come up here & have my MIL, my other BIL, & me watch them for the summer (8 weeks)....hello????Did anyone ask me? I think my MIL volunteered me. I love my niece & nephew & I don't mind having them here, but #1 BIL
11.gif
should have asked me himself,, & #2 they have always taken advantage of my MIL & are down right nasty to her.
Unbelievable......:headache:

Hi guys, I thought I would show you the newest things that I have been making.
WOW!!!

Did you try using wonder tape for the zipper? I haven't done a zipper in 20 years but the wonder tape sounds perfect for a zipper. I did use it when I sewed the buttons on by machine on Emma's outfits.

Terry and her friend Carol are downtown so she had cellphone coverage. She called and said Hal ow ow ow was really hurting today, and was sitting in the recliner getting ready to soak in the hot tub.

Poor Hal!:wizard:

Hope there wasn't too much crying at Costco.

I am leaving to go babysit in about 45 minutes. Love the kids, but I don't usually go over this early so I'm kind of dragging my feet.
Hope babysitting went well.

I had to bring Emma to the doctor this morning. Poor kid has one nasty yeast infection. I was hoping she escaped that since she was off the antibiotic on Monday.

Then I brought her to soccer. The coach is dad to 2 of the girls on her team and they didn't want to play-they were looking at a Disney princess book they brought with them. Why did he let them bring that???? So then none of the other girls wanted to play either. I felt bad for the coach of the other team-they only had 3 girls. At first Emma was playing for the other team but when the coach of her team couldn't get 4 girls on the field he had Emma put her shirt back on and they played 3 vs 3 so the girls on the other team never got a break. I think she only has a few weeks left.

HI,

So I ended up staying at Relay for Life from last night until about 12:30pm today. Of course I did not sleep while there. I came home and went straight to bed and only got up after 7pm. I threw some laundry in the washer as I needed to wash my shirt for Dorney tomorrow, as I know better then to wear it without washing it first. I can not risk a rash, being itchy or not able to breath due to an unwashed shirt. I almost put my Relay shirt on and then changed my mind.

Tomorrow it is Dorney day. Then Monday back to work. I hope my trip gets approved.

Hope all of you are having good weekends. I am behind so if I miss anything important please PM me.

I'm home. Work Was slow.

ugh I just broke the letter d on my keyboard.

So how hard is it to replace a key on a laptop keyboard? I wonder if it is under my newish warranty?

The boys are at my parents and Chris and I are watching the race. I thought I'd DIS, but no one seems to be here.

Tia sounds like you had a nice birthday & Red Velvet Cake, yum!

Good morning DDA!!!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. It was an okay day, just long and tiring. Yesterday we went to Red Robin, though, for my birthday burger (thanks, Amy!!) and it was a lot of fun. Cake and presents was last Sunday along with Mother's Day. I did tell mom that next time we were having cake when there were fewer people here. With all of us there were only 2 slices leftover from my red velvet cake and that wasn't nearly enough leftovers for me. I guess I should count it lucky that Brendan wasn't here or there would have been no leftovers. ;) Of course, it may just mean that I need to make another one soon too. It was sooooo yummy. :cloud9: :cloud9: :goodvibes :goodvibes

Congratulations to Brandon :cheer2: I can't believe you leave for your cruise so soon, how exciting!

Your plans for August look good, I look forward to meeting you!

Good Morning Friends :)

Wow you were only a hour & 1/2 away from me :thumbsup2 Hope you had a nice drive & the kids behaved :wizard:

Well, I would like to know why I was up at 5:30 this morning? Phil drove my dad's van to work today so I didn't have to take him, yet I work up at 5:05 and couldn't sleep after that. Doesn't my body know I was tired?!?! Hopefully, it got enough sleep and can behave today as I've got to drive 6-7 hours today. Terra, Chase, Connor and I are driving to Bloomington, IL for my aunt and uncle's 40th anniversary party. Due to other commitments, I'm the only one in the family able to go so we're going as the family representatives. It should be fun because I rarely get to see these cousins. Now, as long as driving with 3 kids doesn't get too crazy. Kristi needed a babysitter and the other option weren't that great so I volunteered to take them along. Luckily, they usually do pretty well.
