DDA Chapter 7

I don't really like the look of the luggage tags...Anyone have any suggestions on how to make them look a little bit better? I think it's the silver box that's throwing me off...
I did print off the wedding logo and slid it into the address spot of the luggage tag and that seemed to help better - of course I don't have a photo of that one...but here's the luggage tags...

Woohoo!! I remembered what I wanted to say....the upside of the meeting was....we were supposed to wear our band shirts...couldn't find mine so I asked Jim if I could try his on. I need to buy a new shirt....I am right this minute wearing a size large....haven't worn that in 20+years!!

Good morning, DDA!!! Day one on the job went pretty well. I rearrange the pantry during nap time so now I'm happy with the kitchen. Momboss told me to feel free to do what I want with the kitchen and I needed to see what food was there since I didn't make the menu and shopping list and need to try and make 2 weeks of meals from that stuff. The older 2 will be gone the first two weeks after they move so I'll only have the baby. During that time I have the choice of unpacking the kitchen on my own or at least labeling the cabinets, etc and deciding where I want everything stored since I'll have 90% of the kitchen use.

We're headed to the liberry today for an Eric Carle program. Terra has been looking forward to it for almost a month. Now if it could just quit pouring down rain before I have to get 3 kids into the library.

I'm behind once again as Momboss can't get decent internet at this house. Thus, I may be behind a lot for the next couple of weeks until they get to the new house.

Elizabeth - Sounds like congrats are in order for your purchase! Totally jealous, but that's really great!!

You've done such a good job on the favors. I think they look good in the picture. What color is the lugguage tag? Would you like it better if the ribbon had some silver in it? If you bought all the ribbon and need to keep it, how about adding a tiny silver flower (that just slides in the bow -- don't want to make more work if it's not necessary) or something to tie it in?

The tags are a silver color, and they came with the white sheer ribbon. Box is silver too. I think what bothers me is that this is the only thing that's silver on the table. I'll leave them the way they are with the white ribbon (the brown ribbon is what we had left over from the golf ball boxes.)
I'll leave them the way they are then!

My 2 weeks of recitals begin tonight. I have 23 to get through, but they are very spread out. We'll see how I like this situation, since normally they are compacted into about 10 days.

I hope the sun is out in your neck of the woods today (although I heard mention of snow in the Colorado area?!?!?) and that you all have great mornings.

yup...where Jim works they've got about 4 inches.....down here it's raining (has been since last night) but it still may end up snowing on us by this evening

I didn't know it opened this weekend. DS is reading the book right now. I bought him the box set when the first movie but he hasn't ever read through the rest of the books. Since he finished the Harry Potters and the Golden Compass he decided to read the Narnias.

Thought I would post some pictures of our living room, it is still a work in progress. But we are getting there!

This is some of our white walls & the blue curtains before Gary painted them.

Walls are now painted, just need to get the baseboards & lay down the new flooring. This is also part of our new furniture, the humongous chair & 1/2 with ottoman.

We bought new curtains yesterday & I love them! They look so much better in person.

And this is the couch. There is a doorway here, that Gary is going to drywall & paint.

As you can tell, our cats love the new furniture

Thanks for posting! It was hard to send the photos while running around in the parks and then my cell phone didn't have service in the room. I sent those photos when I left Emma with Terry (my FL friend).

I was thinking about this and I didn't send you the photos then-I was texting to Terry to keep track of where they were and let her know where I was. I sent them on Friday and really can't remember where I was. I couldn't send them from the bus because I was holding the stroller, couldn't send them while walking around the parks because it was too sunny to see the phone.....

I called Pop lost & found today and they had Timon so they will send him to me. I also called lost & found for the Beach Club, DTD, and Central lost and found and no sign of Emma's hat. Hope I can find it again at another Marshalls as it looked really cute on her.

Welcome home, Bernadette. Although you are going to be tired this morning, I know you had a WONDERFUL time with Emma and that will get you through today.

Thanks! Emma said her teachers were REALLY happy to see her yesterday. They hadn't seen her in 3 weeks-first April vacation, then chicken pox, then Disney.

It was a productive morning. Colby's IEP is in place. He should begin speech therapy as early as this week She will have 2 weeks of therapy over the summer and start in right at the beginning of the school year.



We also closed on our mortgage refinance this morning.

How wonderful that Colby will get the help he needs!!!!! Congrats on the mortgage closing!

Yes. I finally found a box the right size to mail to you. They are in there. Now, I just have to get to the post office while they are open.

Work was suprisingly busy tonight. I expected it to be dead since we were busy over the weekend. It was not so. There were only 4 waitstaff on tonight so I did a lot of running. I guess it's a great way to start the week.
