You will probably be able to experience the fringes of the F&W Festival, Jennifer. Since you plan to go to Epcot anyway and you will be walking around the World Showcase, the food booths will be all around you. The first time we went to the F&W Festival (11 years ago!) all we did was eat and drink a few things while we were walking around. We enjoyed it all very much. There will be booths set up specifically for kids so Olivia will enjoy herself at those too.

Sorry, I can't help with the Behind the Scenes Tour. Is that the one you have to sign up for outside of the Soarin' entrance?

This one is posted on the disney site under family but it did not give details about where to sign up or how much. I know their is one that is behind the seeds. I think this one is a little different but could be wrong. It starts on the 26th. We will be their the 26th to the 28th for park days. Do you think we should avoid Epcot on the 27th and 28th as those are Sat. and Sun.? I some how did not realize it would start while we were their

3 weeks total...

11 days AKV
2 days Cape Canaveral
3 days cruise
5 days BWV

We have never gone on a 3 week trip...I hope we do OK

Wow - that sounds great! :cool1: Hey - 3 weeks away would have to beat 3 weeks at home any day of the week! You'll have to tell us all about it when you get back! popcorn::

My service unit told me I did not need to attend the Bridging ceremony tonight, so I get to be home tonight.:goodvibes :cool1:

So after spending all weekend soggy from being out in the rain, I think I may be getting sick. I am in my bed with my laptop.:cool2:

My cat Penny died today. This is the first time I have been petless in over 20 years. She was 18 years old.

I'm so sorry to hear about Penny, Becky. Lots of   to you, and I hope you're not getting sick. What wonderful news about your cruise, though! 15 days on the Magic sounds simply wonderful to me!

Why can't I be one of those people who just does things halfway? It would be so much easier. There is a lot involved in training for a marathon and if I do this I will do it the whole way! Which also sets me up for failure.

Because you just wouldn't be you otherwise. :goodvibes I feel your pain, though, as I'm the same way. Jonathan was just saying to me the other night, after I was explaining to him all I've been doing on a project, that it's nice that he never has to worry that I'll half-a** something!

You can do the marathon - good luck with all the training! :wizard:

So the soccer drama continues... Eric had a formal complaint lodged against him as a result of Molly's game from this past Thursday night. The other team is coached by 2 girls who are about 16 years old as not one of the parents would step up and volunteer. There was this one dad from the other team who was obnoxious the entire game. He was yelling and screaming at Eric, our other coach and the kids. He felt that Eric was not being fair on the field. What I can't understand is that we do not keep score, the game is played for fun. The coaches are there to teach them the basics of the game in a non competitive atmosphere. The director of the clinic teams is the mom of the opposing teams coach. So in order for her to remain unbiased she is going to bring this matter before the Board of Directors on Wednesday evening for a decision to be made.

The end of soccer and school cannot come fast enough!

I kept Emma home from school today. She was feeling better but I thought a day away would be good for her. Luckily only the brothers showed up so it was a relatively easy day. We spent the afternoon researching what else, Egypt and King Tut!

I'm so sorry to hear this, Robyn. My BIL coaches my DN6's t-ball team, and my SIL was telling me that they had to end a game early the other night and call the police due to the parents of the other team, harassing the kids and vandalizing the field! :scared1: What is wrong with people?!?!?!

Continued  for Emma, too.

how fun would that be for some of you! Wouldn't it be neat if all those families chosen were DDA ones? :thumbsup2

Yes, it would! :thumbsup2

My family could have done this last year - although I don't know at the end of the day if any of the film would have been fit for public consumption! :rotfl:

Garrett has 8th grade recognition Thursday night, so we went shopping tonight for something besides jeans for him to wear.

My baby will be in High School soon

I brought Button home today. :dogdance:

The prognosis is good and the vet was very pleased with her reaction to all that was done to her. We return to have the sutures removed next week. We will know more then. Thanks for all the good wishes for her.

Wonderful news! I hope her recovery continues to go well!

We were!!!!

I don't know if I ever said how we met. Hal is a Ham Radio person and he would talk on the 'net' to Bruce and help to pass messages and other things along the 'net'. Bruce kept saying to come on down and since Hal had heard someone else had already met Bruce, he thought why not?

Twelve years later and we have the nicest friendship.

Kind of like a prequel to our DDA group friendship! No wonder Hal wasn't worried about you meeting all of us! :goodvibes

the tour I am thinking of must be the Behind the Seeds tour. That one you sign up for the day you want to go, I think, and the area to do so is to the left of the entrance to Soarin.'

Personally I would try to avoid Epcot on the 26th and 27th if at all possible. It is opening weekend for the F&W Festival and if things hold true to form, it will be a mob scene with locals as well as dummies like Bob and me there! Actually, we are not planning to be in Epcot for the F&W Festival really until Monday the 28th, hoping the crowds will have thinned out by then.

I didn't know that. John is too and I am trying to get him to get another radio. He used to have one but sold it when we moved to a very small apartment, now that we have the house there is plenty of room.

Hal is a Ham Radio person.

Of the two days the 26th might be better than the 28th

Happy birthday to Kyle!

I hope you appt. goes smoothly. :wizard:

Chris talked me into sending an email to the casting call. I'm sure we won't hear anything, but we couldn't resist trying. :goodvibes

Lots of :wizard: :wizard:

Hi Ya'll,,

Hal and I had a good time. I probably more than Hal, but Bruce gave him a few happy pills, so he did better each day.

We finally left at noon and drove straight thru except for a stop for sandwiches and two stops for me for the bathroom.

I think Hal thought Friday night was the night for the guys to save the world, but Bruce wasn't ready for it. So, by about 11:30pm, Hal was a little loopy, in pain, and definately ready for bed. I had to help him get down the hallway to the bedroom. :lmao:

Saturday morning, Carol and I drove to the co-op they belong to and I bought a really pretty pair of earrings. I will take a picture later and post it. Then we drove an hour away to Elkins for lunch and then to Buckhanon to pick up a table saw. We had a fun day but I must admit that I love being close to where I need to go when I have to shop.
The guys spent the day looking at videos about wood carving. I think Hal took a nap too.

Sunday it rained. so Carol and I put together a lot of floral arrangements for the wood vases Bruce had made.

Today we drove home and made it back in about 5 and a half hours.

I always enjoy our time down there, because it is so very easy and laid back. The company is great, food delicious, and lots of great stories.

Glad to hear you guys had a great trip, and I'm glad to hear that Hal is feeling better!

THANK YOU!! :love2:
I would not have thought of that, and it saves me from having to make something. Though I love to cook and bake, I will probably make everthing my self, so something easy for dessert is good.
Thanks again. :flower3:

Sounds like things are coming together nicely, Heidi. You're so sweet to plan this out so far in advance for your sister. :goodvibes

Jennifer - Sounds like you have something to occupy yourself with today. I am glad Kyle's vacation schedule seems to work well with your wishes!

I was going to post the exact same thing! No boredom today, at least! :thumbsup2

Yes, it's about time! I've been waiting to start planning this trip for ages! I could have done general stuff without dates, but where is the fun in that? ;)

I have a biophysical profile and OB appt today too, and it's Kyle's birthday. We aren't doing much, but maybe dinner after or something... it should be a good day (assuming I don't go to the hospital! ;)). :goodvibes

Good luck at today's exam, and happy birthday to Kyle!!! I hope your plans this evening go forward as set (and don't include a hospital visit!).

Elin and I must be sharing the brain this morning! As I was going to post the same thing, too. :goodvibes Good luck with your planning, Jennifer!

Well, I need to get back to work. I have very little motivation this week, and am so tired! Plus my eyes are being weird and sensitive this morning - I almost want to put on sunglasses here at my desk, but I'm sure I would get a few weird looks! :cool2:

It's going to be a warm one in Dallas again today (I think summer is here :sad2: ) - I'd gladly ship each of you about 30 degrees!

Have great days, DDA!

Jennifer,
Happy birthday to Kyle!

I hope you appt. goes smoothly. :wizard:

I think the family running in the 5k would be way cute.

 I'm sure I could run 3 or 4 miles without training, but there is no training in the world that would have me ready for 13.1 miles by next march :thumbsup2

I know I can do this if I actually do the training program. It isn't going to be easy for me. I have an aversion to exercise. However, this is something that I really want to do. My dad learned how to swim so he could scuba dive after he was 50. I can do this! I became a lifeguard and high ropes instructor at 40.

More info for Jennifer: I think that the tour you are looking at is strictly part of the F&W Festival and I believe it might be new this year. I am trying to find my stuff from last year to see if there is any information there about the Greenhouse Tour.

Lindsay it was 98 here yesterday. I think its about the same for today here. Gotta go run some errands.

Thanks Elin it looked cute what I could tell.
