Okay I just realized the Food and Wine festival will be going on while we are at WDW. Are their any tips I should Know? Should we try to do this? Does any one know any thing about this Behind the Seeds Greenhouse Tour?

You will probably be able to experience the fringes of the F&W Festival, Jennifer. Since you plan to go to Epcot anyway and you will be walking around the World Showcase, the food booths will be all around you. The first time we went to the F&W Festival (11 years ago!) all we did was eat and drink a few things while we were walking around. We enjoyed it all very much. There will be booths set up specifically for kids so Olivia will enjoy herself at those too.

Sorry, I can't help with the Behind the Scenes Tour. Is that the one you have to sign up for outside of the Soarin' entrance?

You could always pick up some frozen cream puffs and eclairs from Costco. They thaw quickly, and then a dusting of powdered sugar and you're all set.

Well, it's official. I am registered for the Princess Half Marathon in March 2009. I better get in shape now. I figured I would have to sign up or I would never actually start the program. This better be me in the next 10 months.

Oh that's PLENTY of time! If Kyle's vacation schedule ever comes back, I'm running it then too if we're there at the right time!

I heard this quote awhile ago about raising kids & it is the truest thing I have ever heard....

"The days are long, but the years are short".

Everytime I loose my patience with the kids, I try to remember that their time with us as a family is only a small portion of their whole lives. You love them & raise them right & one day you will have grown men who you are so proud of. (like Elin, only with DD's!!!) We can't stop them from growing & it sure does hurt sometimes but we just have to love them & hope everything we taught them sinks in.

I can't believe my baby will be 13 this fall.

I'm heading to bed, too. Tonight was the school carnival, and I'm wiped out! It was 94 degrees, and no wind. Cn we say HOT? Anyway, it's done, and that is the last of my room mother duties. I'll be grateful when school is out! Only a week and a half left!

Wow, it was in the 50's here yesterday. Weird weather!!!

Chris talked me into sending an email to the casting call. I'm sure we won't hear anything, but we couldn't resist trying.

Wow, we'd be perfect for that. Of course it's the first 2 weeks of June and the kids are still in school. Chris thinks we should apply anyway. Did anyone check to see what it entailed?

I see you applied, but i wanted to point out to anyone else interested they really touched a lot on multi-generational travel and DVC members. We were stoked, considering every other time we travel it's with parents and grandparents (and by default sisters/nieces, etc), who will soon be great-grandparents, and on both sides of the family. It seems to me they might have at least one family with extended family in a grand villa, which is perfect! The whole "first 2 weeks of June" thing sort of put us off, though....

i think im headed to bed too.. Another day down!

Quick question for you guys--Does anyone use yahoo mail? Im trying to find a way to set an away message or auto reply for while im away. I found out how to do it for comcast, but not yahoo. Of course, yahoo is the one i use for all my teaching resumes and everything so i want to have on that that i am not in town..Thanks for any help!

When you sign in, click "Options" in the upper right (if you're using the regular version, not beta). There will be 3 columns, the middle says "management". About 2/3 down there is "Vacation Response".

Garrett has 8th grade recognition Thursday night, so we went shopping tonight for something besides jeans for him to wear.

My baby will be in High School soon

Speaking of high school, Newsweek (or somebody like that) came out with the top 1300 public high schools in the nation. DS's high school is #537. The #2 high school is the Talented and Gifted Magnet, but I don't consider that exactly public. It's public in the sense that it is free, but you have to apply and be accepted, same as the Performing Arts high school and the Science & Math Magnet (which is #4 on the list).

I brought Button home today.

The prognosis is good and the vet was very pleased with her reaction to all that was done to her. We return to have the sutures removed next week. We will know more then. Thanks for all the good wishes for her.

So the soccer drama continues... Eric had a formal complaint lodged against him as a result of Molly's game from this past Thursday night. The other team is coached by 2 girls who are about 16 years old as not one of the parents would step up and volunteer. There was this one dad from the other team who was obnoxious the entire game. He was yelling and screaming at Eric, our other coach and the kids. He felt that Eric was not being fair on the field. What I can't understand is that we do not keep score, the game is played for fun. The coaches are there to teach them the basics of the game in a non competitive atmosphere. The director of the clinic teams is the mom of the opposing teams coach. So in order for her to remain unbiased she is going to bring this matter before the Board of Directors on Wednesday evening for a decision to be made.

The end of soccer and school cannot come fast enough!


I kept Emma home from school today. She was feeling better but I thought a day away would be good for her. Luckily only the brothers showed up so it was a relatively easy day. We spent the afternoon researching what else, Egypt and King Tut!

No good deed goes unpunished, huh?

We'll take some of your temperature off your hands. It is freezing here! There was a frost warning last night, and it's currently 34 degrees. THIS IS MAY, MOTHER NATURE!!! So, if we take about 30 degrees from you, we'll both be around 60. That's pretty pleasant.

Yesterday was practically frigid here, and it's barely breaking 60 today. I hate the hot summers with a passion so I'm glad they aren't here yet.... but goodness! It wouldn't hurt to hit 70!


I just got an email that Kyle got his first requests for vacation next (work) year, so we/he will be off the second half of October 2008, and the first half of March 2009! He also got a really wonderful elective for July, when we have new babies... which was really important to us at one point (and will be then).... but right now I am just glad I finally get to start planning our trip! We had picked the first half of March as a request to go as soon as possible, but now we're realizing we won't be able to get a third (at least) trip out of APs that start then (he can never take off earlier than March). We're trying to get around that by booking the second week (we're doing a "shorter" trip the first time anyway, just about a week)... then in 2010 hopefully we can get the same block and go the first week. Easter is late next year, so I'm thrilled that the crowds should be decent!

Hi everyone-
I actually had a great night tonight..My brother called and had a softball game so my parents and i went to watch..Its a few guys that he played baseball in high school with, including theguy that is going on the cruise with us..we had a blast and they won! SO after, the guys invited me out for pizza and we just had a good time...
The guy that works on the cruise ship texted me that it was 60 degrees in alaska today!
Tomorrow i get my hair done

Sounds fun! I wish it was 60 degrees here.

Thanks! I looked online-even ebay and can only find it in black or tan denim not blue denim. It has a little 'belt' around the outside but no labels or anything on the outside. It has a small Nine West label on the inside. I paid about $15 for it.

Nicholas had his first baseball practice tonight. His coach seems really nice. He introduced himself to each boy, shook their hand, and then they worked on throwing, catching, batting, and fielding. I don't think Nicholas is going to like it though. There aren't any girls on his team.

Tomorrow is Alyssa's dress rehearsal for her ballet recital on Friday. She has to be there from 5-6. Nicholas has his end of the season soccer party, someplace not even near where Alyssa will be. His party is from 5:30-6:30. I told his dad that he needs to take Nicholas, as I can't be in 2 places at once. He agreed, so now I just have to hope that 'something' doesn't come up. : Normally Bob would take Nicholas, but I need him with me because dress rehearsal is the only time we can video and photograph the dances. Prohibited the night of the recital. So he will tape while I take pictures.

Hope your ex follows through! Hope Nicholas enjoys baseball.
