Parents can be vicious. I'm hoping that Chris doesn't have any problems with parents. So far so good. The kids are progressing which they weren't doing prior to his joining the coaching staff. They've even got him refereeing the 7 and 8th grade boys game on Thursday. He really didn't want to, but they couldn't find anyone else :confused3

I brought Button home today. :dogdance:

The prognosis is good and the vet was very pleased with her reaction to all that was done to her. We return to have the sutures removed next week. We will know more then. Thanks for all the good wishes for her.

Ah, I am so glad to hear it Elin!

Good night, friends. See you in the morning! :)

 You sure can't catch a break lately, Pee Wee football was the most vindictive thing we have ever been involved with. If the adults could learn to get along everythiiing would be fine.

I think that our normal is "one drama after another"

Garrett has 8th grade recognition Thursday night, so we went shopping tonight for something besides jeans for him to wear.

My baby will be in High School soon

Aww, 's

It certainly sounds like it, Robyn... :sad2:

Thankfully the kids have no idea.

Thanks Anne Marie.

I sure hope he has better luck than we have had. That's what burns me about this other team, all those parents just sat in their chairs and yelled. None of them are actually doing anything.

:yay: :yay: I hope Button continues to get better!!

Becky - congrats on the latest cruise!

Robyn - I'm confident it will all work out. It's just the aggravation that you have to go through in the mean time. :grouphug:

Wow, I'm sure he is excited, and you, not so much.

Welcome home Button!

I just keep wondering where the time has gone :confused3

He is excited about it though & I am very happy for him!

You will get through it, Janet. I am not saying it is easy, but you WILL get through it (and college) ;)

Glad to hear Buttons is back with you!

Nicholas had his first baseball practice tonight. His coach seems really nice. He introduced himself to each boy, shook their hand, and then they worked on throwing, catching, batting, and fielding. I don't think Nicholas is going to like it though. There aren't any girls on his team. :rotfl:

Tomorrow is Alyssa's dress rehearsal for her ballet recital on Friday. She has to be there from 5-6. Nicholas has his end of the season soccer party, someplace not even near where Alyssa will be. His party is from 5:30-6:30. I told his dad that he needs to take Nicholas, as I can't be in 2 places at once. He agreed, so now I just have to hope that 'something' doesn't come up. :rolleyes2: Normally Bob would take Nicholas, but I need him with me because dress rehearsal is the only time we can video and photograph the dances. Prohibited the night of the recital. So he will tape while I take pictures.

So we are flying in on Thursday night. I will be working that day and probably heading straight to the airport. Our flight is at 5:50pm, it takes about 20 minutes to get to the airport from the office. But then I have to figure out what to do with my car as I do not want it at the airport for 2 weeks. It could possibly stay at the office but I do not know if I want it there for two weeks either.

Then we have to decide what we are doing on Friday and Saturday. Where we are staying, how we are getting there. I want to do Disneyland and California Adventure and stay nearby. But my parents want to do something with relatives I really do not know. Sunday is embarkation day for the cruise.

After the cruise we have to get a rental car to get us wherever and then to the airport.

I am heading to bed, as I am tired and do not want to end up sick.

My service unit told me I did not need to attend the Bridging ceremony tonight, so I get to be home tonight.:goodvibes :cool1:

So after spending all weekend soggy from being out in the rain, I think I may be getting sick. I am in my bed with my laptop.:cool2:

My cat Penny died today. This is the first time I have been petless in over 20 years. She was 18 years old.

It's tough when a pet dies. I hope you don't get sick! I'll send pixie dust and good thoughts your way!

Thanks for the ideas. :)

I have no idea on sweets, other then the birthday cake.

You could always pick up some frozen cream puffs and eclairs from Costco. They thaw quickly, and then a dusting of powdered sugar and you're all set.

Well, it's official. I am registered for the Princess Half Marathon in March 2009. I better get in shape now. I figured I would have to sign up or I would never actually start the program. This better be me in the next 10 months.

It will be! You are going to do just great!!!!!

It does go by very fast, :sad1:

So he is quite the ladies man? That is too cute. I hope the ex steps up and delivers.

Can't wait to see pics of Alyssa! :goodvibes
