I forgot to tell you guys some great news! My coworker with colon cancer had surgery and it is stage 1 and they don't even think they need to do chemo. :woohoo:

Thanks so much for all your prayers for her!:grouphug:

Elin sounds like you had a wonderful day :thumbsup2

Your lunch & dinner sound yummy too!

That is really wonderful news! Do you know what they plan to keep it in check? I hope she continues to hear positive news! :goodvibes

myBob and I had originally planned to stay 8 nights at the Hyatt Regency in Boston in June/July. The more I thought about it the more I wanted to be closer to Kathrin's apartment. So I started looking in Brookline for a hotel... they are astronomical! I don't know why they would cost more than those in downtown Boston, but they do! So I looked further afield to Bed & Breakfasts and came up with these two.

We are planning to do a Junior Suite which includes a King bed and a couch or lounge. Some of them have fireplaces which I hope we won't need. :upsidedow

What do you think?

It was really only a few minutes! ;)

I'm going to move my camp upstairs. I'm not sure if I'll be back on tonight or just watching something on my laptop and/or reading until I fall asleep. Those things used to be quite exciting, until I started doing them all day! :rotfl:

Goodnight, all! :goodvibes

Hey, I missed post 7000!

congrats on post 7000, you chatterbox, you... :rotfl2:

Elizabeth what a busy day shopping & returning items lol

that is terrific news, Bernadette. :thumbsup2

Sure! Anytime! But I'm not sure I'd want to venture into the big bad city on the 4th of July. Any other day would be fine.

I am not sure I want to go in there that day either, but I am thinking I won't have a lot to say about the matter! :rotfl: I will have to say it probably will be easier getting there from Brookline than getting to DC from here! ::yes::

You are on the south shore, right? We are planning to head that way toward Cape Cod at least one day, so we will keep in touch, OK?

Those look nice!

Tammi - I really need a dress or something for Kristin's graduation... maybe we ought to go shopping together.

more than I want to spend... we don't have a lot of laundry and are not hard on machines, apparently! I think the $400 ought to do us just fine.

What is Lowe's delivery policy? Free over $399 or so? And do they haul away too? I think I remember that was the case.
I have no idea what the delivery is. I'm hoping it will fit in my van with the seats down.

Pass along my thanks! :goodvibes He should send his condolences to Kyle and my mother. :rotfl: I'm being good so far, but I'm already getting pretty antsy when they can't be here to entertain me! :teeth:

ETA: I'm glad Carissa's funeral plans are coming along

I know what you mean! At first you think it will be great! All the books you can read and movies you can watch, but after a while, it just drives you crazy!

While I was on bed rest, I got the scare of my life. I had been napping in bed, and Katie (4) was "watching" Jacob (2) until Alan got home from work. In reality, that just meant feeding him graham crackers, and changing the video when it ended. I woke up from my nap and waddled into the bathroom. I was shocked to see my sewing scissors in the tub along with a large blob of blonde hair! I ran as fast as my swollen body could take me into the family room. Casually, I looked over Katie, but didn't see any hair missing. Breathing a sigh of relief, I headed back to the bed, wondering what it was that had been cut. Then Jacob came running to give me a hug. Right on the top of his head was a spot where his hair had been cut to the scalp. I screamed at Katie, "What did you cut your brother's hair for!?" She looked at me in all innocence, and said, "Well, you told me not to cut MY hair." I then told her in no uncertain terms that she was not allowed to cut her hair, Jacob's hair, my hair, daddy's hair, the dog's hair, her dolly's hair, etc. I got really specific! After that, I was never really comfortable with the bed rest!

Those look nice!

I cannot find anything bad about either one of them, not for lack of trying. I just have to choose which suite appeals the most. One nice thing about them is that they offer a AAA discount which is not on their booking engine but you can pick the room/suite that you want when you make a reservation. I thought that was pretty cool! :goodvibes

Goodnight Jennifer. I hope you get a good night's sleep. Congrats on 7000!

it probably will... but what will you do with the old one? I plan to have the store deliver mine and haul away the old one. I don't want to pick that thing up nor do I want to have to go to the dump.

OK!:thumbsup2

I can take the boat into Boston and Cohasset now has a new rail service into Boston-it started up 10/31/07.

We are on the south shore but a good 20 minutes off the highway to the Cape.
