Hello all. :wave2:

Just a quick check in.

Mom had complete knee replacement on March 27th, so there were more doctor visits before then.
3 days in the surgery center, and now I run back and forth during the day to take care of her, as Dawn works nights and is sleeping during the day.

Hope all is well with everyone. pixiedust: :grouphug: pixiedust: and :grouphug: all around.

Heidi

So good to see you!!! I hope that Mom is doing okay and one the mend quickly. :wizard:

Did you guys that rent strollers see that the prices are going up? There seems to be a lot of upset people. The double strollers are doubling in cost it looks like.

Okay, that is just insane! $15 for the single and $31 for double. No way! Makes me very happy with bought the Maclaren.

If you are interested in Owner's Locker & haven't signed up, there is a DIS exclusive limited membership offer. $45 for the signup (normally $75) and 2 free visits per year (instead of one). I really think I may do this. I want to buy a curtain rod and curtain for the studio doorway (at OKW). I'd like to keep the rain ponchos, some over the counter meds, etc. there as well. We'll also be buying food this time which I might be able to store there for future trips. I wasn't sure about $99 plus $25 each year since we plan to go twice but I think I could sell Chuck on $99 for two trips each year.

Here are my choices!

/
Anne Marie - two weeks! :cool1: You must be getting so excited! Do you feel prepared?
No,:rolleyes1 I did get the kids clothes packed. Everything but shoes & their dinner clothes are done. I am a nervous wreck before we go away so now I am having major tummy trouble. :sad2:

Will you book a 2nd package for free dining? I don't think I will bother & I'm sure what my chances of getting a suite would be anyways. I guess I should run my numbers.

OK just did....I am saving $41.40/night with 20% AAA on ASMU family suite. The meal plan for the 5 of us is $105.95 so I would save $64.55/night with free dining or $258.20 for the last 4 nights of our stay BUT I would have to buy $342.94 worth of tickets to do so. I think I'll just leave things the way they are.
No, I am going to leave it as is. Hoping for a good AP rate. The dining plan is just too much food for us.

Hi Heidi,

Good to see you :goodvibes

Just be sure to take good care of yourself

Thanks for the one of each! :teeth:

Bernadette- Glad you found your fabric!! I hope your funk vacates soon:wizard:

Lindsay- :wizard: for your funk to leave too! Jonathan will be 40 this November. Than Danny and Donnie- in May and Aug '09. Jordan in '10 and Joey in '12. Don't ask me why I remeber all this useless crap :confused3 :rotfl: We were obsessed to say the least. They were also my first concert, in fact Joe took me and one of my girlfriends. I couldn't believe he'd be caught dead there but then again I now know why;)

Heidi- It was good to see you pop in. :wizard: for you mom's healing.

Deb- :woohoo: on giving AR a magical moment. I was saddened to hear of your loan officer.

Amy- I am glad that your cousin is safe. Can't wait to see pics of Alyssa's party!

Kristine- Thanks for posting the Mickey gnome prices, I think we just found the perfect birthday gift for my MIL. I really want one too, though!

I know I read much more but today has been very
:wizard: and 's to those I missed.

I need to get ready, my cousin will be here in an hour to pick me up. I am no where near presentable to go out!

Have a great Friday DDA!!

OMG! Thank you for reminding me. Today is my sister's 40th birthday. We need to call her!

Our mortgage officer just called me to let me know that our loan processor was killed in a car accident this morning. She was 27 years old. Our mortgage officer is having a very tough time dealing with it. What a tragic loss. She wanted us to know that our loan could be slowed by this. That is so unimportant in the whole spectum at this point :sad1:
Oh how tragic. :sad2:

What's the difference between a strip steak and a striploin? We are trying to decide our menu...
Grilled New York Strip Steak - topped with button mushrooms and roasted garlic served with piped whipped potatoes and veggie medley
Slow Roasted Striploin - sliced and served with horseradish merlot jus served with piped mashed potatoes and veggie medley
It looks like they are the same cut of meat (when I attempt to google) but just cut differently??

(If anyone wants to see some of our other choices let me know! I don't mind sharing because we are having a heck of a time trying to narrow down what we actually want to try at the tasting...)
I'm glad I ate dinner before I read this. Sounds yummy! I can't help you though as far as the difference between the 2.

I've been thinking about you Heidi. I'm glad you are okay. :wizard: for an easy recovery for your mom. Take care of yourself too.

Holy schmoly. That is a huge increase in price. I could see them raising it a few dollars, but geez! Guess Alyssa will be walking. :rotfl:
