Marci - It sounds like you guys have a lot on your plates right now! I hope BIL is doing better! :wizard: I hope your allergies aren't any worse! (I can't imagine they are any better because the weather is so weird.) Hopefully the boys' schedules will be manageable over the next few weeks!

Tia - I saw on eRewards that some places are now allowing twice a year redemptions. I went ahead and did 1000 AA miles today. Now I have $19 left in my account. I know Blockbuster was another one.

Oh no!!!!

Brain function is highly overrated. I do fine without mine all the time!:lmao:

Luckily, the part that stores the info on how to start a DVD for Princess is still working so she is happy! :rotfl2:
I found "Wiggly, Wiggly World" for her at Ross today. $6!! She is watching it now. That is my all time favorite Wiggles DVD!

I'm home. My stuff is in the house. I'm too tired to put it away right now. I called and told my mom, sister & girls that if I ever spend that much time in the car in such a short time (31 hours in 4 days), I better end up someplace warm like Florida, Texas or California! :lmao:

I'm going back to catch up with a day or two. I don't know that I have enough energy to catch up with everything since last Wednesday night.

If possible, she is even more fun in person!

What a nice thing to say!
Especially since we haven't really gotten to spend much time together other than saying hello at MVMCP and having breakfast!

I'm glad you are home safe and sound, and I hope you enjoyed your time with your mom & sister & the kids! :goodvibes

kitty is still around. she is so sweet. wednesday she goes to pound :( desi thinks she might have mange. i am gonna ask night attendant if she or anyone she knows might want her.

i had 5 interviews today for my night attendant and NO ONE showed. so if you could please send pd down my way that i find 2-3 great people soon that would help. i am very frustrated that noone stays longer than 3-6 months or they just take full advantage of me. :furious:

just got an email from one and they were at the hospital with their son so i will be giving them a second chance.

Ok, here is the clothes shopping story. My mother is always on my case about my clothes, hair and general appearance. She is always telling me that I am such a beautiful person that she wishes I would show it. If I am clean, my hair is brushed, and my clothes don't have holes, I figure I'm presentable. I don't curl (or blow dry for that matter) my hair and I wear no make-up. Mind you, my mother was just like me until about 8 years ago. She now makes an effort to curl her hair when she goes out and wear nice clothes.

Now my sister is just the opposite of me. When she was 9, she taught my best friend how to curl her hair with a curling iron. My best friend and I were 16. My sister would sit in front of the TV with the curling iron, curling her hair. I used to think it would fall out with as much as she combed, brushed and curled it. It was also the time frame where you kept a matching comb to your shirt in your back pocket. My sister must have had 30 combs so that she had enough colors. She always looks sharply dressed. Mind you, she is a bargain hunter. She doesn't usually buy things full price. She will shop at Goodwill and sales of other stores. She loves getting brand name clothes for good deals.

So whenever my sister and I spend time together near a store, my mother tries to get my sister to take me shopping. When I got my job 10 years ago, I gave my sister carte blanche to buy me a wardrobe. She did it all online and loved every minute of it. Mom told my sister to take me out and buy me two outfits with shoes. I told mom no way before leaving to help my sister pick up some Easter stuff. I told my sister in every store we went in, no way! Well, we get to Marshall's and she has to check out the deals for herself. Well, I see a pair of shorts that I love. I have to try them on. So my sister starts adding things to the cart for me to try on. We must have had 50 things in the cart for me to try on. I don't know how it went from me saying no way to trying on 50 things. It seems to happen in my sisters presence.

We get to the changing rooms and the attendant asks if this is like those makeover shows. I tell her yes, that is about what it is. My sister was in her element helping me pick out clothes. I told her no black because I don't think I look good in it. Well, I ended up with at least two new black tops and a black sweater. They look very sharp on me. I ended up with dress pants, khakis, shorts, dress shirts, casual shirts, and a sweater. Mom ended up paying for it all. I didn't mean for her to do that. I didn't end up with shoes yet. I told mom I would go shopping for them. So I'll have to follow up on that. I also told them I'll wear the trouser socks that are hiding in a corner of my drawer somewhere.

So that is the long story!

Hi everyone-
Im pretty exhausted so i wont be on here too long. I wanted to say thanks for all the good thoughts about the xcruise..i am working hard to find SOMEway to get this to work!

Kritine-I think I still have a clean room jumpsuit or 2. But I am not sure if I have a hood or booties for them anymore. I can look for them, if you want.

Like this but without the hood and gloves

ETA- I see Denise came to the rescue Yeah Denise:banana:

I am exhausted and cold but have stuff to finish. I hope to finish it, but I might take a nap first. Hope everyone had a great day.

Hello everyone. We are home and I am now just getting the kids into bed. Can someone fill me in on what I've missed. I hope all is well!

So..today at lunch, my grandma said that she wants to take us (my mom, dad, brother, and I ) on an Alaskan cruise in two months for a week. This is something that she and my grandpa did and she wants us to go with her.
:wizard: I hope you can work something out!

Hope you all had a great day!

Off to get ready for work! Ugh!

We are still deciding on where we want to go for sure!

We have always wanted to go to Disneyland, so I am trying to crunch the numbers, and figure out all the details!
How cute!

Bernadette - thanks for more F&GF pics! Everything looks so beautiful. All of our grass around here is still dead, although some heartier plants are starting to come back.
We have just a few snow drops. Can't wait to see a few more signs of spring here!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Easter,

the azaleas are in bloom so I thought I would share a little Spring with my friends who haven't seen it yet, hang in there, it's on it's way,

azaleas.gif
Beautiful!

So I couldn't say it better than what I posted on my blog, so I'll copy it here for you -- and then give you the a photo or two you've been whining for, although I refuse to succumb to the traditional, boring (IMO), posed "belly shot". ;)

ETA: That didn't make any sense to me. The entry is here if you want to see them.
You look great!!!!!

Randy's oldes brother has had three open heart surgeries this past week and almost died. Luckily, he is doing much better and may even get out of ICU tomorrow. It's been a real rollercoaster, made worse because we couldn't go visit him and were relying on updates through the hospital and occasional updates from his wife. (She's super quiet and isn't a good communicator...very sweet, but a little strange...)

I think I have a sinus infection, but the mouth ulcer is beginning to get better.
:wizard: Good luck to you BIL!

:wizard: Good luck to you with your sinus infection!

They've already requested another one next year
Sounds like a fun day!

For anyone that was thinking about the Owners Lockers, this is from the Mousesavers newsletter:
I have to do this!

I'm still sick

Do you think she would come to VA for a day of shopping with me. I need someone like her.

Well, we had a nice weekend visiting with my parents. It always goes by way too quickly and tomorrow it's back to work for me.

I'm wondering if anyone of you have any advice for this situation. Karen, you probably would have the closest experience with what I need.

Remember back in October when my aunt (dad's sister) dies suddenly? Well, her husband, my uncle, died at the beginning of March. They have a daughter, Michele, 47 years old, who is mildly mentally retarded. She has lived all her life with them. Now she has no one and has been staying with my parents since January, when her dad was hospitalized. Unfortunately her parents had not made any arrangements for her care upon their deaths. It is taking quite a toll on my mom and dad. My cousin, who is in CA, and I are the executors of their estates and her Trust, so it is now up to us to find care for her. She is not dependent, but can only stay alone for short periods of time, and not overnight. She more or less needs someone to 'watch' her and prepare her meals. Ideally we would like to find someone to stay in her home with her, but that is very risky, with what goes on in today's world. Second option is finding a facility that will take her. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on where to start or have any of you had any experiences like this? My mom and dad have given me some places to start, and I will do that tomorrow.

She really does have a knack for it. If I could share her with you, I would. However, she is a very private person and thinks I'm nuts! :lmao: I am a hugger and she doesn't like to be hugged (except by her boyfriend and kids). If she didn't look like Dad and his family, I would think that mom brought the wrong baby home from the hospital. :rotfl: I'm 7 years older, so I know mom was pregnant.

It seems like everyone was quite chatty while we were gone, Vicki.
