Sorry the time change is wreaking havoc with everyone. My students are all dragging too.

for DH!!!!!

that's such a cool smiley...I'll ditto it

Well we got Nicholas' science fair project set up at school. Tomorrow morning is the actual fair and judging and then we get to go to the school in the evening to look at all of them.

Soccer practice started tonight too. It was cold! My toes still haven't warmed up.

great work on the project:thumbsup2

Glynis-that is a gruesome story

Amy-I promise kiddos having the same birthday isn't all that bad....my girls love it (most of the time)...the only time it's been a hassle was a little one on the big birthday of 13. Cassidy's best friends in Billings each had birthdays within a week of their sisters....now their moms had more worries than me. :rotfl2: Of course one was a worrier naturally but the other was one of the calmest ladies I've ever met and she still stressed that month every year.

While life still stinks...I have missed you all...so I'll post a bit more than I have.

We've missed you, too, Theresa! I hope that things calm down in real life for you. Is there anything I can do?

Night all! I'm heading to bed to do a bit of reading before lights out. Talk to y'all tomorrow.

Tammi - good luck for Nicholas on his project. I'm sure he'll do just great!

no thanks.

Knowing that I am in your prayers helps immensely.

I had a friend bring us supper...just because tonight. Not sure how she knew I had no idea what to fix at 6:15 for my family but we all ate to filling and it was yummy!!

Jen enjoy your time away in Colorado!

Anne Marie yea on getting BWI :woohoo:

Tammi good luck to Nicholas!

Glynis what a horrible story

Theresa nice to see you posting :goodvibes

Lindsay - DH will be IRATE if he didn't pass the exam and they tell him he can't continue in the specialist position until the next round of interviews. He told them point blank he feels unprepared for the promotion, but it is an amazing opportunity for him so he felt like he needed to try. Staying in his current position for one more round would certainly give him more time to learn more things and "pad" his resume a bit. But shoving him out on a crummy route where he won't have a chance to learn and see different things would be completely counter-productive. So hopefully they won't do that! It would also be a pay cut, which I have an aversion to.

Lots of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: !

Speaking of Disney transportation woes. I'm wondering if anyone has a AAA Diamond card or two that they can spare. We are driving down as is my brother and we don't have one this year and would REALLY appreciate it if we could borrow a couple. We need them from June 28 - July 18th. Please Please Please.:worship:

Deb, I have one. If you can get it back to me by late August, I'd be more than happy to send it your way! I can send it after my May trip.

My MIL, FIL, and their adopted grandchild are headed to Orlando this weekend. Through a coworker, they have free accomodations , and all along, my MIL has been planning on going to MK for one day. I keep telling her she HAS to go in with a plan, especially since there are early extra magic hours EVERY DAY at MK and the park hours are 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. So yesterday, she decides to book one night at the Poly (3/18), with park tickets and dining for $750!!! Of course, now she has to book an ADR a week out, and she still needs a plan! As jealous as I am of their trip, I'm so glad I'm not going with them! :teeth:

:scared1: :scared1:

I got an e-mail from my mother's best friend on Sunday, with "just a few questions" for me re: WDW. Well, she proceeded to ask about 50 questions in a stream of consciousness e-mail. Oy.

This is the woman who offered the idea to my mother that she would pay me to plan her first trip with her grandchildren. Then, after having already answered an e-mail like this from her before, I mentioned something about offering her assistance, but needing some $$ for my time (she doesn't want to do any of her own research at all). After that e-mail, she never sent a response, and it's been radio silence since then.

I don't know what to do. I feel like I'm being used, but don't know what to do, since my parents are BF's with her and her husband, they're good people and do a lot for my parents, etc. I've been thinking I should just help her out of respect for my parents, but at the same time it ticks me off! :headache:

Ok, here's my weird story for the day.

Alan called me at 11:00 this morning and asked me to pack an overnight bag for him. He was being sent to St. George, Utah, to cover a story of a woman who had been scalped. That's all the information they were given. I threw some stuff in a bag, and met him at a rest stop by the freeway. Horrible thoughts raced through my head all afternoon about this horrible crime that had taken place.

He called me just a little while ago to tell me that the story was not as bad as had been feared. A woman with hair down to her knees was racing go carts with her husband. Her hair got caught in the motor of the cart, and literally scalped her from her eyebrows to just behind her ears. Her husband saw what happened, raced to her cart, and cut her hair leaving the scalp attached at the back. They got her to the hospital and were able to reattach her scalp. She looks like Frankenstein's monster, but she'll live!

OMG - how terrible. That makes me a little ill even thinking about it. I'm glad to hear she'll recover, though.

Well after stressing

about it & giving myself an ulcer I switched our resort to Boardwalk Inn for April. I have been looking on the AP site since the rates came out & all I kept seeing was the FW cabins. I looked today (after giving up & not checking for over a week) & there was the BWI for $259 a night! $111 off rack. I ran it pass Dana & he said it was worth it not to deal with the buses. We are ending almost every day in Epcot so we can walk home each night.:yay: I wanted CR but I am sooooo happy this was available!!!

Yay!!!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Sometimes, those things just work out at the right time. ;)

While life still stinks...I have missed you all...so I'll post a bit more than I have.

Lots of :wizard:  for you, Theresa. Been thinking about and praying for you guys!

I had a friend bring us supper...just because tonight. Not sure how she knew I had no idea what to fix at 6:15 for my family but we all ate to filling and it was yummy!!

How wonderful!

She is in Whitehall (which I guess is not that close to you after all...) but works in the food industry. Because she has been in that business for a very long time I am thinking she probably knew this man and his family.

Its about 45 minutes to an hour away but I am through there all the time. I was in Whitehall tonight, yesterday, and Sunday. I will probably be through their on Thursday. Then it will be a few weeks probably till I am through again.

Night all hope your week is going well

It sounds like you are making great progress.

I don't think that you need to double up the fabric. You just want the shade, not extra heat. I think you'd be fine with whatever sheets you have or even some fabric. I'll check downstairs to see if we still have the mickey sheets that we used to use.

Jennifer I just checked and I cannot find the Mickey sheets that we used. They were even altered to fit nicely over a double stroller. I have no idea where they are or even if we still have them. If I come across them I'll let you know.
thanks for looking Deb, the reason I thought about doubling it was to make sure you could not see through it.
Jennifer -- if you want to use the cover for nursing, use it some before you leave. I once tried using one when I was nursing Jake (we were at the circus, and I was using it more to cut the noise so we wouldn't be as distracted -- I know, wishful thinking) but he hated being covered as he wasn't used to it and refused to nurse. I had to end up going out on the concourse to a first aid station where it was quiet.

Have a great day everyone! :)

the only time I dont use a cover is at home.

Glynis OMG:scared1:

Theresa what a good friend

Elizabeth good luck and Pixie dust for DH
 and pixie dust to all

Good Morning Friends

Glynis - how horrible, glad to hear that your family is feeling better.

Theresa - Good to see you, what a wonderful friend.

Tammi - Good Luck to Nicholas, his board looked great!

Amy - My daughter's birthdays are on the 21st and 30th of January, I would do one big party on the weekend between their birthdays, and would do a small cake and their gift from us on their actual birthday. I'll have to ask them but I think they enjoyed it that way.

Elizabeth - :wizard: PD for DH, I'm sure everything will work out just fine, you sound like me, everything has to have some drama, nothing is ever easy.

Well, we found out yesterday that the MIL won't be able to make the cruise after all, , problem solved. Now I just have to pay the additional cost, I told my daughter she was spoiled, here we are paying more money to move down on the ship, kids!

Anne Marie - congrats on getting BW. I'm sure you'll be happier there.

Theresa - :grouphug:

Lindsay - I don't know what to say about your parents' friends. If it is going to cause you to put in a lot of time I can see where you would want to be compensated for it.

Thanks for all the good wishes for Nicholas today. I hope he does well on his interview.

Good morning!

Tammi,
Super good luck for Nicholas today!!!!:wizard:

Lindsay,
Wow, what a spot to be in!!! I understand the pressure you must feel to help these people out but it does sound like the woman just doesn't want to any of the research herself. Your time is not free....maybe you can give her the links to allears.net with a note saying "I am sure all your questions can be answered here & good luck"

Theresa,

That's great! Have fun!

OMG Glynis!!! That is terrible!!!

Holy cow! :scared1: That's horrible!

Elizabeth,

for DH!!!!!

Thank you!
Thanks to all for the PD for DH! I can not imagine that they won't 1) move him into training if he passed the exam or 2) leave him in his current slot to gain more experience & knowledge. But sometime the decisions they make scare me!:scared: His "mentor" (the guy who is encouraging him to go for the promotion) said it took him 3 tries to get into training so DH shouldn't be too disappointed if he doesn't get in.

This time change is kicking my butt. Have a good night everyone!

I hear that!

Well after stressing

We miss you, too! I am sorry things are still not going well, but posting should make you feel better, right?

DS's B-Day is January 30. :goodvibes
I imagine your job is similar enough to his that you see all the idiocy that can go on. The obvious solution is rarely the one they choose! :rotfl2: Thanks for the PD!:)
Yay for no MIL!!

Lindsay - I don't know what to say about your parents' friends. If it is going to cause you to put in a lot of time I can see where you would want to be compensated for it.

Thanks for all the good wishes for Nicholas today. I hope he does well on his interview.

Lindsay, I would e-mail her and answer a couple of her questions, but you just got a promotion and you are terribly busy with work so you can't possibly answer everything.;)

Tammi - Nicholas will do great! The judges aren't rough on the little guys. DS didn't even have to present to judges this year. I was surprised.

Good morning!

Tammi,
Super good luck for Nicholas today!!!!:wizard:

Lindsay, this is a great suggestion! :thumbsup2 Send her links to AllEars, MouseSavers, Intercot, Touring Plans, and the official site and tell her to have a nice day!:rotfl2:

Gotta get in the shower. Dadboss has an early appt. and Momboss is out of town.
