Denise, sending prayers to you and all the fellow Georgians who had to endure the horrific storms. :grouphug:

Just a quick update on Julie. I went to her shower last night, and she looks great. She's on partial bedrest (she has to lie down every couple hours), and her doctor hopes to get her to 32 weeks (which is next week), then 34, and if she progresses to 36 weeks, she'll have her c-section then. She appreciates your prayers. :goodvibes

So, it dawned on me that with the whole family going on the Grad cruise we will have to have T shirts, so her's what I came up with.

This will be on the back, with the names on the pocket.

Very nice!

Oh Elizabeth guess what I discovered today. We drove down to Richmond this afternoon for a big craft fair. About 40 miles from here is a Dillards, right off I95. You'll have to let me know when they have great sales. It is basically the same as a Macy's?

So what department stores do you have in your malls?

Me too!

I have been searching through my stuff to see if anything is gold. I have found very little if any. I do have some stuff that was my Nana's like her class ring that I think is gold. I doubt it would be much of anything else considering she graduated in 1938. I also think I have her wedding set, but my Mom might. I have my first pair of earrings I ever had, that the balls are dented, I know they are at least 10 K. I have ordered a mailer from USA Gold Buyers and plan to mail it away. It isn't doing me any good so I figure even if I make $50 it is better then nothing. Although I am trying to decide if I think the price will continue to rise or if it will drop.:confused3 If we are in for a recession I think it will continue to rise, but if everyone is dumping their stuff the value might go down.

Oooh! I just realized -- Kyle has some gold stuff (tie chain, cuff links, etc) that his mother keeps getting him despite him telling her he never wears gold. I bet he'd sell it!

Arrrgh! I'm at that lovely "if I have to get up and go to the bathroom, I can't fall back to sleep for hours" stage of my pregnancy.

So, good morning DDA! :)

Hey, now we can talk in the mornings! :rotfl: What was your favorite appetizer last night?

One night last week, it was Kevin who got up to go to the bathroom at 2 a.m. Of course, I had to go then, but he fell back to sleep immediately (snoring and all :headache: ) and I tossed and turned for 2 hours. Grrrr! :rotfl:

You know I'm not the most adventurous eater, so honestly, I didn't eat much. I did try the buffalo chicken dip, and it was good. I've been hesitant to make that on my own, since I'm not a fan of blue cheese, but you couldn't even taste it.

Congratulations Debbie, on meeting your next goal! :goodvibes

I think you asked if we used a snowman kit. We did. :) My mom ordered it from Land's End a few years ago. It's very kid friendly (each piece is connected to a dowel-like rod...very easy for Alyssa to poke into the snow).

Thank you to all who responded to my pizza dilemma. :)

I'm good friends with all the moms who will be in attendance, so I tend to overanalyze when it comes to party-planning. :teeth:

Even more the reason to not worry about it, you goof! :rotfl:

This sounds good, do you have a recipe to share?

Deb I hope you all get to go skiing today!

I didn't make the dip, but this sounds similar to what the cook did (only she used blue cheese dressing, not ranch). I found this at Recipezaar.

Ingredients
2 (5ounce) cans chicken, drained
2 (8ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup ranch dressing
3/4 cup red hot sauce
shredded cheddar cheese, you decide how much
Frito scoops, Ritz crackers, celery

Directions
1) Beat cream cheese, ranch dressing, and red hot sauce.
2) Fold in shredded chicken.
3) Spread mixture into pie plate sprayed with Pam.
4) Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
5) Add cheddar to top and bake an additional 10-15 minutes.
6) Serve hot with Frito scoops, crackers, celery, etc.

 Hopefully a nap might be in the cards for you this afternoon, Amy!

Glad to hear that Julie & baby are doing well. Continued prayers

I am so glad to hear that Julie is doing better. I was on partial bedrest for 6 weeks due to preeclampsia but fortunate to make it to my due date with Kathrin. I hope the same for her.

So what department stores do you have in your malls?
The 2 major department stores attached to our mall, singular, are Belk and Macy's. Then we have the ususal stuff...Penney's, Sears, etc.

Good morning. :)

After a warm, sunny day yesterday, today started off cooler and rainy.

Hi Deb! How are you guys doing?

We will be there May 31 - June 20.

I keep telling him he should take an adult swimming class...but he looks at me like I am crazy!

Welcome back stranger. I've really missed you.

That sounds like an amazing trip. What are your dates now?

I hope that it works

He is adorable. What a beautiful head of hair.

I say do the parasailing and make Bill the official photographer :thumbsup2

:lmao: :lmao: I wondered if you had signed up for the challenge :lmao:
