DDA Chapter 5

Well, I need to get my butt in gear. Yesterday was a hard "work around the house" day, and it just zapped all my energy. I'm ashamed to say that I'm still in my PJ's at this point - losing an hour always totally throws me off. However, I have some errands to run, and they're not going to happen if I stay here, unfortunately. Chat with you guys later - and STAY WARM!!!!!

I am back from the grocery store, and we picked up DS's glasses while we were out. I have started the laundry. But I would really like to go have a nap.:rolleyes1

iam giving notice i will not be on tomorrow. i am going to the houston livestock show and rodeo tomorrow

Welcome to Sally! I'm Lindsay, and my DH is Jonathan. No kids as of yet, but we do have a little fur baby that keeps us company. :goodvibes We are big Disney people (I'm just slightly more obsessed than Jonathan ;) ), and try to get there as often as possible.

I have the pleasure of living in Texas where 2 inches of snow is a huge event ;) (which we had twice this week)! I'm also fortunate to have been able to meet many of these ladies in RL, and two of them, Elizabeth and Marci, live in the same area I do, so we get together occasionally (but not as often as we'd like) for lunch.

Your creations are amazing! Your nieces are very lucky to have you. :goodvibes

I've a fur baby to. His name is Boo ........... but he thinks it's "damn you".

I dug out yesterday afternoon after the snow stopped. The worst part was the end of the driveway where the snow plows had gone through. It was at least 3 - 4 foot deep!

I did have to help my neighbor get out of his driveway. He thought that with his 4 wheel drive he wouldn't get stuck. Well, he did! The only shovel he had was a spade! Not very productive. I noticed that when he returned he had a regular snow shovel.

I would say he should have probably had a snow shovel before, 4-wheel drive or not! :rotfl: The plowed snow is why Kyle got stuck this morning, too. He had cleared enough of a path yesterday for the wedding, but we ended up with several feet shoved in front of our driveway, too! I'm still wondering how he'll get out tomorrow, with only my half of the driveway done

the thing with the first one is it allows only 5 letters and shocker is 7 letters. i could put her nickname but thats 6. so i dont know what to do. :) i might email and see if i can put shocks(her nickname) somehow.

Karen - I think I like the second one better, have fun tomorrow.

I just got a PM from Heidi, she says everything is fine she's just been busy. She also asked to give a hug to everyone. :grouphug:

i'll have fun tomorrow. we are leaving early so we can take our time and hopefully see everything before the rodeo starts. we are going to see Sugarland.

Karen, just buy it and take it to a jewelry store to have it engraved.

didnt think about that.
how are yall today? hows john?
We're good and escaped any and all snow! :cool1: We are very hopeful that John may be showing signs of recovering some taste. :thumbsup2 He got a "glimpse" of what something was yesterday and today. There is absolutely no sweet or salty taste yet, but he could tell it was a corn chip and hamburger. It wasn't much, but it was better than it had been! So, I am praying that by the time we head to WDW his taste is back to a more normal level. When it does come back, he has a massive list of foods he wants to eat!

Hi Ya'll

Last night was pretty scarey to say the least. It started to get really windy, then it started to pour, then the hail started. At one point the wind was so strong and scarey sounding, high shrieking-- thought I was living a horror film :scared1:

Then the lights started to do the flickering thing and we had that going on for about an hour before it stopped. Then we lost cable tv and internet  For three whole hours.

By then, Hal had gone to bed since he had to get up early today to help get set up for the big spring concert. I insisted on staying up. I know we did lose electric early in the morning as well. Thankfully no damage. But I did see Guenna today and she said they have a small hole in their roof. They filed a claim on the internet and are hoping for a call tomorrow.

The spring concert was very nice. What a way to spend an afternoon. Now I am in my pjs and I plan to veg this evening.

Jennifer - I don't envy you with all that snow. I'm glad it wasn't here!

Debbie - thanks for the update on Heidi. Glad everything is okay.

Deb - Glad the camper and attic are dry.

Nicholas and Alyssa had their spring pictures done. I'm not real happy with Nicholas' shirt and the background. I had no idea it was going to be so busy.
