DDA Chapter 4

...which BTW, we are leaving Saturday at 4pmish and coming home Sunday evening around 7pm...

If you're camping, I'm out. I can afford gas for a vehicle, not a vehicle pulling another. :faint: :rotfl:

Karen - :grouphug: :flower3: :grouphug:

:rotfl: :rotfl2: If I'm camping, that means Chuck is along. I doubt it will happen but wanted to check into it just in case. I really don't think we can afford the time this year after our week long June trip. I can be gone for a long week-end, but it would have to be more than that if we are camping. There is no way I'm hauling a camper all the way out there for a week-end. We really do want to camp out there and see a lot of our DDA friends. I'm hoping we can head east or west in 2009 and the other direction in 2010.

I think I'm going to be in Avon Lake on Friday. Once I have more concrete plans, I'll let you know. I think I'm leaving on Monday. We're meeting Becky's boyfriend down there on Friday so she can go meet his family, then again on Monday. She has to be home by 7pm on Monday for class.

Mom and I have been watching these shows on the WE channel today..They were called something like my big fat fabulous wedding..It has been hysterical..Some of these brides are big bridezillas and its fun to watch !

You are probably right about that. Keep me posted for when you are going. If I'm in the Lansing area, I may stay down there so that we can visit.

Chanon checked with me about Easter. She was going to be in Michigan. I had to laugh (and cry at the same time). I'll be in Ohio near her place visiting my sister and her kids for Easter.

Right now we are looking sometime between July 13th and 20th.

So are any of the other DDA little boys getting excited for the new Pokemon movie that premieres tonight?

Andrew was excited, too. I think he DVRd it. I've never really gotten in to the whole Pokemon thing myself but I know I'm not the target market... still, I just don't get it.

Deb -- glad you guys had fun!

I'm off to watch the Oscar's.

Have a good evening everyone! :)

Karen- more :grouphug: coming your way.

Elin- Wasn't it Tammi that suggested the Duck Tour Mission? Sounds like a fun road trip!!

Deb- I think you and Chris will still be watching this race next week.;)

It did, actually. We got a lot done. I also made the decision to take Friday off and drive up to Boston with her. I will fly back on Sunday. She has never made a 10 hour drive, let alone in a moving truck with a dog freaking out alongside her. I thought an extra pair of hands and part of a brain would come in handy... Kathrin agreed wholeheartedly.

Kristin doesn't have any classes on Friday and we were hoping to make a fun girls' trip out of the weekend, but Kathrin is having trouble finding a moving truck/van that would seat three. :confused3

I am glad things are getting underway! It's a bummer that it doesn't look like Kristin will be able to come along next weekend. Maybe Kathrin will find a different truck between now and then. pixiedust:

Deb - I am glad you guys had a nice day! :)

It appears that Aurora is coming down with her seasonal sneezing/snuffling not-feeling-well stuff. It seems like it happens every year about this time. The first year she was really sick and had to go to the vet twice, but last year it wasn't as bad and she managed to work it out without a vet visit. Hopefully she will be able to kick it on her own this time, too.

Hello everyone! Gary & I had a wonderful weekend :) Getting away alone together, does wonders for the soul sometimes :thumbsup2

Karen I am so sorry to hear about Shocker :guilty:

Amy & Kevin, CONGRATULATIONS! pirate:

Denise I hope more information is found once John sees the Neuro Thursday pixiedust: Sorry to hear about your grandmother :grouphug: I understand what you are saying about the treatments, it is a difficult decision to make. When we found out mom had pancreatic cancer she did chemo & radiation, it wiped her out. It took everything from her & cost more precious time with her. Mom at 1st wanted nothing to do with the treatments because she seen what my father went through, but we(my brother, sister, & myself)talked her into it. We had hope that it would help. I can't tell you the guilt I carry, thinking that we are the cause of her leaving sooner than she should have.

HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY LEIGHANNA!party:

If Garrett or Riley had been a girl her name would have been Emily Leann(Middle name is from my mom & mil's middle names together).

Interesting article about the fast passes Vicki, I would never think to make counterfeit passes :sad2:

Tammi I agree about the new test for EMH's, does not sound like a good plan to me! Wristbands seem to be the better way to me.

Deb, ice cream & Jack Daniels :scared: :rotfl: Glad you all had a good time at the mountain today!

Debbie pixiedust: for sil's surgery Monday! I hope you can keep your sugars at the level needed, sounds like a scary experience for you :grouphug:

Penny it is so nice to see you posting! Isn't the multi-quote wonderful :thumbsup2

Elizabeth the You Tube about the lemons is :crazy2:

Vicki I am the other person that needs to send my coupons for the lithographs  I will get them in the mail tomorrow. If they don't arrive on time, it is my own fault for procrastinating!

Heidi I like your new signature :thumbsup2

Becky love the pictures you posted!

Bernadette, yea for Emma using the potty without the step stool :cool1: Sounds like she is ready for the trip! Glad to hear Lizzy finally talked to you about the picture. Hopefully you will not have to worry about this happening again.

Robyn I love the matching shirts your girls wore at AK! I'm ready for the next installment :thumbsup2

Elin a girls weekend sounds wonderful!

Hi Stephanie :wave2:

I see a Philly meet is in the works! Maybe sometime I will be able to ride the ducks with you all.

pixiedust: & :grouphug: to anyone I missed!

My sports break is over! Andrew had baseball Saturday, soccer today, soccer tomorrow, baseball on Tuesday, Kaleo on Wednesday, soccer on Thursday, baseball lessons on Friday and a baseball tournament on Saturday and Sunday, with at least four games over the weekend.

Well, it was good while it lasted! Jake and Andrew's rec baseball teams will probably start practicing in another couple of weeks, and Jake's soccer will probably start in a week or so. I hope we have good weather so I can walk around the park. My air card will definitely be used a lot this spring! :upsidedow

Wow you are going to be very busy!

I only have Riley playing baseball, Garret decided not to play this year.

Welcome home, Janet! How was your dinner on Friday?

Marci, I don't know how your boys do it, or how you keep up with them! DS would drop from exhaustion after 2 days of a schedule like that!

It was wonderful! Gary had a big 24 ounce t-bone(I still don't know how he ate it all :faint: )& I had marinated beef tips with onions & green peppers over a bed of wild rice & mushrooms(the meat was so tender & had such a wonderful flavor). We were to stuffed for dessert which was a bummer, I really wanted to try the fried strawberries. Oh well maybe next time, as we will be eating here again :thumbsup2

Mmmm. That sounds yummy! I think I would have gotten dessert and taken it back to the room!:rotfl2:

I don't get it either. It's his thing so I just go along with the program.
