DDA Chapter 4

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. :goodvibes

Today, I feel like I'm almost back to the land of the living. After five days off, poor Kevin had to trudge off to work in terrible weather. I was relieved school was called off for Alyssa, giving me one more day to recoup. Unfortunately, I've been doing nothing but laundry. I had washed all the sheets before we left for my mom's, but I could still smell the sickness (gotta love heightened pregnancy senses ;) ), so I washed them all again. I still can't see my basement floor, since I'm a week behind on the regular loads. Fun, fun.

I'm looking forward to eating some real food for dinner. I'm trying out Chanon's pork tenderloin recipe. Smells yummy!

I tried my best to skim the last 60 pages, and it seems the theme has been we've all been sick! Thank goodness this is a short month, and hopefully, we will all have a much better (and warmer) March. :wizard: :wizard:

Tia, Happy Birthday to Terra! The pictures you posted were great, and that is so cool that you customized the plates and cups! Congratulations on your weight loss, too.

Denise, I certainly hope you find some answers for John's loss of taste at his next appointment!

Lots of :cool1: for all the Disney trip planning, down payments, and airfare rates! I'm living vicariously through you all since our next trip isn't until January 2009!

Which reminds me, there are only two days left to make your gender predictions for Hardman baby #3. ;)

Hope everyone is having a great day! :wave2:

Amy - someone metioned that the recipe turned out a little dry. Make sure the roast (or chops) are staying moist. I can't take credit for the recipe - I found it on the recipe thread...

pixiedust: be gone sickies!

Thanks! I've been keeping my eye on it. I've added a little water, and every hour or so, I've been spooning the juices over the top of the pork.

Even if it turns out dry, I can't wait to eat real food! :teeth:

except we are driving. AAA trip calculator says gas prices roundtrip is 275 so I am figuring 300. cheaper then flying plus I don't have to worry about my stroller getting messed up on the plane. I PM Robyn for tips to keep Virginia occuiped, but any body else want to give tips I would appreciate it.

How old will she be?

that would be me.....I think it was the cut of meat. Still yummy!!

I tried this recipe on Sunday, and it was excellent! I'm highly recommending this one:

Cajun Pork Tenderloin with Garlic Butter

Dry rub:
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
4 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder

2 pork tenderloins
2 Tbsp butter
1/2 tsp. garlic powder

In a small bowl combine dry rub ingredients. Rub thoroughly into the pork and let sit for 30 minutes. Grill or pan sear/oven finish until done - 170 degrees internal temp. Melt butter and stir in garlic powder. Slice tenderloin on the bias and pour garlic butter over.

I doubled the garlic butter, and it was heavenly! Not too spicy, but full of flavor, and very moist!!!

So Jim had a cold that messed with his equillibrium...he will not be dying any time soon. Maybe he'll listen to his wife????;) :lmao:

I do believe though that I've now got his cold....why oh why did he feel the need to share???:confused3

3:30 p.m. Jen is watching the kids for me, and hopefully Kevin can sneak out of work early to join me. :goodvibes

well I guess it will be sometime next week that I find out as going out of town this weekend and we are leaving at 4pm CST be back sometime monday evening for work on tuesday

well I just made my down payment to WDW. Its official we are going to disney.

Yay!!! :yay:

Glad to hear Alan is on the mend, now take care of yourself & feel better soon!

Ditto!

Is that based on the price of gas now? They are saying that prices will be 3.50 to $4 by summer. :scared1: :faint:

Are you serious?! :scared: That is NOT good!

Thanks! The thing that I'm most proud of is making the exercise a regular thing. So far that is going well and it's the one thing that I really want to keep going. Last night I was stretching after my biking and I was able to touch my toes! I haven't been able to do that since who knows when, high school at least, but probably before.

Congrats, Tia! You are doing great!!:thumbsup2

Amy, I predict the baby will be a boy. Or a girl. ;)

I think I got the Macy's thing sorted out. Apparently the online payment thing automatically sets the payment to go on the due date unless I specifically change it. That's what I get for paying bills when DS is distracting me. And the password for the store site is different than the one for the payment service. Stupid technology.:headache:

I went and had the air pressure in the tires checked because the car is pulling left. I think it is out of alignment, which will make DH really mad. I can't tell any difference since they put more air in the tires.:confused3 Then I went to early voting and stood in a REALLY long line. From there I went to the post office and stood in another line. Then I went to Marshall's to return a pair of shoes I bought for DS. From there I went to Ross (where I bought a pair of SHORTS! for DS:rotfl2: ) then to the grocery to grab some soup for lunch. Then it was time to get Princess from school.

DH just called. He is off today but he had to go in for a meeting (they do that to him ALL the time  ). They FINALLY got around to drawing for the prizes they were supposed to draw for on Super Bowl Sunday. Prompt bunch of folks, I tell ya'!
So the prizes were flat screen TVs, dSLR cameras (better than the one DH has now), a suite at a TX Rangers game, all sorts of other really good stuff. So what does DH win? A tent, a lantern and a camping grill. We HAVE a tent that nobody ever uses, we have a camping lantern, and we have 2 HUGE grills on our balcony which I am sure our neighbors just love. We need to get rid of one but DH isn't sure he can get it down the stairs by himself. Anyway, he didn't even bring the prizes home because he doesn't want them. He is hoping to get someone to trade with him, but I bet that won't happen. If the people who won the cameras don't want them they will sell them, not trade for camping equipment. I hate that DH works so hard and he always gets the short end of the stick. He got nothing at the Christmas party because they ran so LATE and so far off schedule, and now he gets nothing for busting his tail for Super Bowl. Kind of sucks.:sad2:

 hope you get well soon. Olivia has had a runny nose all day. she has hardly ate or drank anything all day and has not moved off the couch next to me all day except to go potty. She says she doe not fel good but no fever or cough.
