Good morning, DDA! just a quick pop in and hello as the morning seems to be dwindling and Terra is asking my to play legos and pictionary. Have a good one!

We are back from the dentist. Colby did well with his x-rays and only gagged a little. Nick did very well with his 2 fillings and is still pretty numb :goodvibes I'm glad to have that over with.

After reading everyone else's responses I guess mine does sound harsh. Since it hasn't happened here I guess it is hard to tell. I can say that by handing out the very few punishments that we have had to, the kids know that the consequences will be steep and perhaps that is why they make good decisions :confused3 I hope that they continue to use their heads. I will admit that I use situations that you all experience as great topics to discuss with my kids. That way they know if such and such situation did arise this would be the consequence here. You guys are giving me some great opportunites to teach the kids. Hopefully some of our mishaps have helped your kids too :thumbsup2

Hunter wasn't feeling well yesterday and still feels a bit warm to me, but he says that he is feeling better. Logan still has a nasty cold, but he will be with his mother for the next 2 days. Nick mentioned that his ear was hurting this morning, but it seems to have cleared at this point (maybe it's the novacaine?) Hopefully the sickies will clear out of this house by the end of this week's vacation.

Morning DDA!

Our SW flights for March have dropped again, but Bob doesn't want to switch to the cheaper flight! I don't know what's wrong with him...connecting through Midway and gets us in by 10:30am or nonstop that gets us in by 1:40pm. Personally, I'd be on the nonstop - but I guess that three hours is important to him. (Nevermind the extra $45 we'd save!)
OK...rant over for today. It's snowing (yet again) and I better attempt to leave early for work.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Silly man! Drive safe!

Lindsay -- good for you for the day of pampering. The spa sounds wonderful. I have a bunch of gift certificates that Randy gave me last Mother's day to use at the ZaSpa. He gave me enough for a day of beauty for me and a friend, or I could use them slowly over the months. I'm thinking with the boys sports schedule about the re-start, I should just go for the day!

I've been on the elliptical two days in a row, but really need to do a better job on food choices/volume. We got our garage cleaned out on Sunday (I paid my boys plus my nephew to help, and they made quick work of it -- I was so pleased!) and I did some other cleaning out in the house, but I have a lot more to go. The toy room will be the hardest. I don't know why I have trouble letting go of toys, but not other things in the house.

Have a great day DDA!

Ooo, a whole spa day sounds very nice! :thumbsup2 I have never been to the ZaSpa, but actually have a gift certificate for there, too. I also have some for the Spa at the Crescent that I need to use up - that seems to be the spa of choice around here when people give gifts!

Congrats on the cleaning! If you send your kids to my house, will they clean out my garage? ;)

Momboss said to keep Princess home from swimming today, so I guess we'll just run a couple of errands.

:woohoo: :woohoo: Although I hope Princess gets to feeling better!

Good luck with the DDP decisions! It humors me. ;)

Good morning! No school today & the kids have playdates.
Yes, I am still changing/adding my ADR's & I call tomorrow morning..still no TGM charts...:headache:

Good luck tomorrow! What are your plans at this point?

Good morning, everyone! Thanks for all the well wishes! Alan is still feeling pretty icky! He's staying home from work again!!! That never happens. Add to that, he's staying in bed for the second day in a row!!!!! I've never seen that happen!! He must really feel icky. As for me? Well, my throat is still scratchy, but not swollen or very sore. I'll continue with the Zicam and cold medicine. Guess one of us has to parent, though, so that will be me. I'll get the kids off to school, finish putting up posters for the school play, and then run to the library to avoid any fines I might get by waiting until tomorrow. Then it's home to put the finishing touches on Katie's costume, and then I can relax.

Oh, I forgot! Got to stop at the store since we're out of milk. Might as well do the weekly shopping done, too. Good thing I did the menu for the week yesterday.

Better get off here and get my hair curled!

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for you and for Alan!

Yay for good dental appointments! Hope the sickies stay away for you guys, too. Are you feeling better? :wizard: :wizard:

Beth and everyone else, I so appreciate your responses.

After thinking about it all night and after talking with him again this morning, he definitely knows what he did was wrong. He has apologized to Alyssa (although I don't quite think she gets it), and gave her back the money. He will be without tv, computer and video games until Saturday night. He will also do his chores for the next 2 weeks without getting his allowance. I really think he learned from this. At least I hope so. I will also be putting their money bags somewhere only I know where they are. I have considered many times opening accounts for them, but then that just creates extra running around for me, which I don't have time for.

I agree with leniency for the first time offense and for the fact that he admitted to it. I did tell him when I asked about it that he better be honest, because I already knew the answer, and if he lied he would get in more trouble than if he told the truth.

We are not planners. John calls an TA they book the trip and we pay. I might plan a few ADR's but they are never concrete because we hate being tied to a time that we HAVE to eat. Also while we are in Disney we never plan our days, we just get up and go.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that. ;)

Then you are the exact opposite of me!:rotfl: :lmao: I have everything planned down to when we go to the bathroom. Ok just kidding on that one!!:rotfl2:

Sounds good, Tammi! I hope this is a lesson learned for Nicholas, and that you guys don't have to travel down this particular path again. :wizard: :wizard:

Then how in the world can you stand to hang around the rest of us?! :rotfl: :rotfl: ;)

Pillowcases

If anyone has asked for pillowcases, please PM me with your request.
Due to Cassie being a PITA and DH and her fighting everyother day, I have tried to stay out of the main areas when they go at it. This has kept me off the computer a lot.

I will check my PM box a few times a week while this pluto poop is going on in my house.

If you have a request please send it with the following information

Age of person
colors they like
If for a school or team Colors of school or team
correct spelling of name to be on case
Team or school name (or initials) if wanted on case
if a gift... things the person likes (ballet, baseball, planes, Mater, Ariel, etc)
Time needed (please give me enough lead time to get it done)

All my stuff has been put away due to Cassie moving back and I will need to find a new place to take over and do this stuff.

Anyway, thank you all for your PD and prayers and I wish everyone a fabulous day.

Paula-I am sorry the Pluto poop is still going on!!

Sounds like you done good, mom!

Hey, Paula! I'm so sorry that things with Cassie are still so crazy! Here's hoping things settle down soon, huh?

Paula, I hope things get better soon! :wizard:

Heidi - Underplanning gives me chest pain.:scared: The thing is, the DxDDP sounds soooo lovely that I am tempted to add it. I have to keep looking at the numbers and reminding myself that it would be stupid to pay that much for a plan when we won't save ANY money that way! If it included tips AND is DS ate decent portions then we would do it. As it stands I have to just keep reminding myself that the DDP costs MORE than DDE. For some reason I am compelled to keep re-visiting that. :rolleyes1

So Princess and I went to the Disney Store and Target. I found a few sets of pins, and I had a 15% off coupon so they worked out to $10 for a 5 pin set. Not too shabby! I don't think we have enough pins for August yet, but we're getting there!

Bernadette, did you add in the cost of tips?
I figured the tip would be the same because if I use the DDE they will charge me the 18% on the full amount (as I would have paid anyways). I'm doing mostly character meals so it isn't like I would order more just because I was on the DDP.

Marci,
I can sooooo relate to your comment on getting rid of toys being harder than getting rid of anything else. We just got a new tv & some curtians & Disney accessories for the tv/playroom. The room was a mess so I dumped the toy box out all over the place & went through everything one by one. Some of the toys we have had since Katie was little & in my mind I could see her playing with them. I could see all my kids when they were little playing with those toys & now here they are too "old" for them & me having to give them away. That hurt.
That is a tough one for me too! And something that I really need to do!!!!

Hopefully the sickies will clear out of this house by the end of this week's vacation.
That is what I'm hoping for too!

Joe came to my office today to do some testing of a new on-line safety game-similar to webkins I guess but I've never done webkins and while I was in the room with him while he did it I couldn't see the screen. He was so serious about doing it.;) They gave him the "Uh-Oh" character (little key chain size thing), a T-shirt, stickers (he got some for his sisters too) and a $35 gift card for Barnes & Noble. When he was done I noticed his bright red/hot face. We have had enough of this crud. I am done with winter!!!:scared:

Also while we are in Disney we never plan our days, we just get up and go.
:scared1:

Then how in the world can you stand to hang around the rest of us?! :rotfl: :rotfl: ;)
:lmao:

Anyway, thank you all for your PD and prayers and I wish everyone a fabulous day.

Bernadette - I hope Joe feels better soon! :wizard:

Princess seems to feel OK today. She didn't eat much lunch, but she ate a pretty good breakfast.

With DDP we would end up tipping on adult priced meals for DS. Which would be fine if he ate adult portions! Since he eats nothing I would prefer to order the kid's meal and buy him a snack later if he gets hungry. (Which never happens.) I guess if he magically starts eating over the summer I can always add the DDP.

But if you stay POFQ, you get picked up and dropped off first. What doesn't he like?

Even though you do get picked up and dropped off first, you have to go to all the stops at Riverside before heading to the park. Then returning at night the lines for the bus were always long.
