Thanks for all the advice. One thing I'm quite concerned about is the girl taunting or bullying BK now that I've said they can't play and have asked for BK to sit elsewhere on the bus. Any advice for this? I don't know if it would happen, but BK is very tenderhearted, and it would kill her if someone was mean. I don't want to be mean to this girl, but their relationship is just not healthy for BK.

My pins just arrived. In a box big enough to hold a dead body! I swear they will fit in a quart Ziploc one I remove all the packaging. DH likes the Villains set I got for him. I don't expect him to trade those.

Nah. My DVD arrived today. DH just went to pick up a pizza so we'll watch it when he gets back. Guess my code must be running a bit behind.

I use my DV daily (no cash transactions for me) and haven't ever had a problem. I love paying for the DDP with my DV pts. What are they saying the problem is?

Mine gets paid off monthly so I never have to worry about interest.

My plan going forward is to not carry a balance on it. I was hoping to use it to pay bills online, then pay it off immediately just to accrue the reward dollars. But now I am nervous about doing that!

Hopefully that won't happen. DS had issues with a bully in 4th grade. Twice with the same kid, actually. I called the principal and she intervened. I think she was too soft on him because she knew his parents, but the bullying did eventually stop. I hope you can explain things to B-K in a way that she can understand.

I pay several bills monthly with mine and have never had a problem. But again, I don't carry a balance on it, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Such a tough situation....I feel so bad for those kids because obviously they haven't learned the best behavior from their parents.

My advice coming from a mom of 2 tender hearted kids?? Remind BK daily what an amazing kid she is and that none of this crud is her fault.

Yes I am.

I never understand the "so" much packaging for small items. Disney did it to me, when the stuff we shipped home during our trip came. The box was huge and the UPS man said it weighs 12 pounds. There was more filler then items.

I was looking at the villains pin set, but went with individual pins instead.

I need to get in touch with both IPO's for our December trip. Never too early IMO. Jonathan and I have some financial goals that we're trying to meet this year, but if all goes as planned, we should be able to splurge in December and stay AKL CL and GF CL! With no family!

Our next door neighbors who we ADORED and their 2 DD's (oldest was the kids very good friend) moved to Orlando at the beginning of Dec. New people moved in, and there is just something very off with them. They have a DD5th grade, DD3rd grade, and DS4. The kids just run all over with no supervision, the DS hit Rees in the head 1st day with a screwdriver and hit my neighbors DS in the head with a wood bat last week... the kids aren't supervised... the DD3rd grade runs all over the neighborhood by herself, oldest DD wants to play with BK (there is a 5-6 year age difference), middle DD is always inside in trouble... parents never apologize for behavior or seem concerned... are just off... none of us are real comfortable with them... gut says beware... middle DD is always telling BK stuff that's not true to make her believe it (like there's a killer bunny on Webkinz that will kill all her animals)

So, Monday BK gets off the bus and says that DD3rd wants her Beagle Webkinz and can she give it to her. I say no, and tell them both that. Then today, BK comes home and says she really wanted it and asked for BK's password so she could earn her money... go check and all of BK's money is gone out of her Webkinz acct and she hasn't been on it since last weekend and had tons of $$ left... I go next door with BK and confront the neighbor and daughter. Neighbor won't even consider the fact. I say I'm not comfortable with the things she's been telling BK either, that the age difference isn't appropriate for them to be playing together, and that they aren't allowed to play anymore. Mom just shrugs and shuts the door. Both my other neighbors already weren't allowing them to play with their kids. I'm just upset as I've never had a bad relationship with the neighbors. I know I did the right thing, but I'm really upset. BK is too young to get it and just keeps saying she loves her and wants to be her friend. They sit next to each other on the bus, so I've emailed a request that BK be moved on Tuesday.

how sad for everyone in your neighborhood, Denise! Especially the children who are too young to understand.

Ok, I know that I'm not going to be able to post without putting up the pictures. Unfortunately, I forgot to have someone from work to take them yesterday when I took the time to style it. Why am I so eaten up over this? I keep thinking I made a mistake, or that I'm overreacting, or just being a ITCH... I don't want to have made a mistake, but I feel like I did, even though I have to trust my instincts. Sometimes being a parent sucks.

I am here for now. I started to get a sore throat this afternoon at my first recital. Now it is just awful and I think my cold has headed south into my chest. I stopped at the drugstore and got more Zicam and the REAL Nyquil that you have to sign away your first born to get. I hope Kathrin doesn't mind that Rite Aid and the FDA own her now...

And I need prayers for John. He has lost the sense of taste for the past month. Went to the doctor today and they are running all kinds of tests for some pretty serious stuff including MS, some weird brain tumors, cancer, and syndromes. He's very depressed and just went to bed. He's not eating. Between that and today, I'm now in tears and a basket case. He's my rock, the one we depend on. What if it is something bad?

ETA: Well, they ruled out all the little stuff today. He's not sick, no ear or sinus probs, sense of smell is completely normal. His tongue "feels weird" and his taste is gone, so they are pretty sure it's neurological. Now to find out which lovely reason. They call with bloodwork Monday and then will schedule an MRI or CT. We're both really scared.

Chuck went to the doctors yesterday and he has bronchitis. He has some meds. I tried to get him to go to the doctors 2 weeks ago but what do I know? I'm glad he has meds and hopefully will be feeling like his old self before we head to Disney in two weeks.

It doesn't sound like that girl will have too many kids who will pay attention to her and I'm sure BK has lots of good friends. It really stinks!

I am still in Lansing. I worked until 12:30 last night (this morning). I got up at 5:30am again to get started. I ended up working until 8:30pm tonight. I had hoped to head out by noon today but there was still too much to get done. I want to make sure I have things in place so that I can take the week off without calling in while we are at Disney. By the time I left tonight, I realized I was too tired to even start home. Our weather report is good until Sunday so I should be able to get home with no problems.
