DDA Chapter 3

That's ok Stephanie, I have a friend that was never allowed in, in the first place.

Betty Crocker has kicked me out of her wannabe club.:guilty: :guilty:

I'm probably the only woman alive that could burn a crock pot meal......

Nite all....

Got more ADRs! The only one left now is for breakfast on our departure day and I probably don't really NEED an ADR for it. Since we won't have park passes for that day we don't need to have breakfast at an exact time, we just need to be ready to get on ME at 11:30 AM. I suppose the big challenge will be cramming 16 nights worth of stuff back into the luggage!:scared1: But I am a Master Overpacker. I can handle it! ;)

I think you'll see other designers pick it up. We have had a rotation of designers through the years. At least I hope so. If not, we'll survive wherever we end up. We are family now! :grouphug:  And we have enough designers in our inner circle to get some custom designs.

I'll still design for family and friends. I think that the DDA is definitely is in that category. My only problem is that there are times I can't get things done right away.

There are still several people designing, so I certainly hope this board remains. If not, we'll have to have our own "clique" thread on the Community board.

I quickly read, but didn't quote. I didn't get on here until 11:30 and I really need to get to bed. I am so proud of myself for resisting the urge to log in earlier. I managed to do a lot of housework and I sewed an entire shirt for myself :thumbsup2 I actually like the way this turned out. The pattern was a bit difficult to read, so I did my own thing. I'll post pictures when someone here is up to take them :rotfl:

I really must sleep now as morning comes way too soon.

Have a wonderful night.

Yay, Deb!!! :woohoo: I didn't do so well yesterday.

I'd love to see the pictures of your shirt! My sister-in-law was always very good about mixing patterns around and making her own changes. Most of her best sewing was done without a pattern. I need to follow patterns pretty exactly.

Hi all! Wendy just called and Michael is out of surgery and in ICU now. They
started surgery around 10:45 this morning and finished up around 5:30.
The doctors were able to accomplish everything that they hoped and are
very optimistic about the outcome. Michael is currently intabated and
under sedation primarily to minimize movement, etc and not disrupt the
surgery site. He will be in ICU for a few days and the recovery will
still be awhile, but things look really good.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!

Great news!

I'm off to bed. I got a major chunk of the project done that has been weighing me down. That will really help. I'm training others on it next week so that I can get some of it off my plate.

pixiedust: that it won't be weighing you down long!

Nite all....

 I'm usually pretty good in the kitchen, but I could probably do that, too. Once I completely failed in my efforts to make a "No Fail" fudge recipe, and I destroyed an "easy" microwave peanut brittle just last year.

Good morning,

Sorry I haven't had a chance to post individual responses. :wizard: and:grouphug: for everyone!!!

It's been a long week & today is looking no brighter. Daniel just came back off the bus (after he got on & drove away) & now he's sick.
Dana has been in Dallas all week on business, so his mother came to "help out". Well she got the flu the 2nd day she was here & lets just say I have been cleaning up alot of messes between my kids & her. I am still not feeling well (my head is pounding) & I have to work today. ugh.
Dana came home last night thankfully so he can take his mother either to the dr or home..I have had enough.

I know alot of you can relate to this one. Katie tells me last night at 8pm that she has a huge geometry test & that she hasn't been taught the work in class? Hmmmmm?? Ok anyway I help her til 10:30pm. I was half asleep trying to explain the area of a circle to her which took forever.
I got her up early to get some more studying done. Why does she wait til the last minute!?

Now the kids are whining..seems like they want to be fed! Gotta run!

I have been missing you, Stephanie!  :grouphug: :flower3: :upsidedow  :goodvibes

Depending what you put in the crock pot and how long it was cooking, it is not hard to burn things in there! If you added something sweet (like cranberry sauce or apricot preserves...) the sugar content can actually cause the meal to burn. So, don't feel bad. It happens! :goodvibes

Vicki and Deb - it sounds like you both accomplished a lot yesterday! :thumbsup2

Boy, Anne Marie... I hope the sickies get out of your house very, very soon!

Remind me again what grade Katie is in... if she is not in the upper levels of high school why on earth would a teacher test on material not covered in class?!?!? :confused3

Tia -- that is great news! I read her TR late yesterday as I was waiting my boys to be dropped off at work. What a wonderful story! She may not want details discussed, but if she doesn't mind, what type of surgery did Michael have?

Well, now Brantley-Kate has the stomach flu... It's going to be a long February...

Denise -- so sorry -- sending lots of PD!

Good morning,

Kristine -- sending lots of PD to you!

Anne Marie -- sending lots of PD that you feel better, as well as Daniel and MIL, and that no one else gets sick!

Thanks for all of the well wishes yesterday! I don't physically feel much better today, but it was great to feel that people care. I really wanted to leave work yesterday around noon, but because the kids are in school here in Dallas and I live in Kaufman, I had to stick it out until almost 5. Since I get to work before 6:30, that makes for a long day, especially when sick.

The boys get out earlier today and I pick them up, so I hope to make it till then, then try to get some more rest. I don't remember it taking near this long to feel better when I had my last UTI, but I also didn't let it get out of hand and was quite a few years younger.

Have a good day everyone!

Thanks Elin..she's in 6th grade.

Anne Marie - Yikes! What a nightmare!
I hope everyone is feeling better soon! :wizard:
You should have told us Dana was here! We could have taken him for dinner or something.
DS failed a math test earlier this week. He failed one last week, too. But when he re-took the one from last week he got every problem right. He just can't seem to apply his knowledge on a regular basis. I told him perhaps he should consider a career in law, because my cousin says there is no math on the LSATs. ;)
