DDA Chapter 3

I am right there with you!

Elizabeth - I am also short on willpower this winter for some reason. I have not gained any weight, but I can't seem to get motivated to lose any more either. I don't know what the difference is this time around, but I would really like to take off another 50 pounds. If you find that dose of willpower can you clone it and send some my way? ;)

Sorry to hear you are still not feeling well. Hope you can get some good rest today :wizard:

I still feel lousy. I don't see how I can go to work since I hardly slept at all and I really don't think anyone wants me around. I guess I should try to go back to bed.

If you all could keep DISer wendygrace and her son Michael (from the Wish Trip Report) in your thoughts and prayers today, I am sure that they would appreciate it. Michael's body decided that it was ready for surgery a week ahead of the doctors' schedule. They have quickly prepared him over the last couple of days and he goes in for surgery this morning. Please pray that the doctor's are able to achieve their goals with little trouble. Also, the recover process could be long and subject to complications so pray that Michael's body will recover and heal quickly and with no problems. Thanks guys!

Marci hope you are feeling better soon :wizard: Bladder infections are no fun.

I'm having a terrible time with a bladder/kidney infection. I thought I had one, but kept putting off going to the doctor, until I started running a fever and could barely walk. What was I thinking? Obviously I wasn't... time spent earlier would have made me feel better and much more productive then I was yesterday... I was watching the clock until the babysitter dropped the boys off at my office. Today is a little better -- no fever, but I do still feel lousy. And today is my late day -- 6:30 - 4:45 or so.... I guess I'd better get busy.

Have a good one, DDA! :)

Prayers & :wizard: for Micheal & his family! He is such a cutie & I really enjoyed reading her TR.

I can't seem to find the place on allears where this is mentioned, but this is from an email on their email list. If it's true, maybe we'll see some changes. :confused3

This is something I just read on allears.net (in the DDP '08 review
section)...

-----One quick note: one of our servers at the California Grill said
that the new dining program was going to be reviewed after the first 3
months to see if it is being well received by the public. My advice is
call/email Disney and let them know it's not going over well at all-I
did. ------

...

Well, my eyes are blurring, and I need to be up early tomorrow to climb on a plane back to Dallas. My knee is also killing me, as when I was hauling my suitcase up the entrance stairs to the hotel, my heel got caught in my pant cuff, and my knee broke my fall on the concrete steps. I'm afraid after running around/standing on it for the last 8 hours that it is going to be a balloon tomorrow!

Good night, DDA!

And good morning to the early risers!!!!!

Oh, I hope your knee isn't giving you too much trouble today! Safe travels home! :wizard:

I will definitely pray for their family! Do you have a link as to who this is, what's going on, etc? I am out of the loop on the DIS! ;)

Bless you all for only giving me 3 pages to catch up on! :teeth:
Have a good day!

Here's the link to the trip report Wendy did on their Wish trip. If you read only a little of it, see if you can find the story about their very magical meeting with Peter Pan - Michael's absolute favorite! Keep the tissues handy.

My shirt still isn't finished. I put it away the other night because I was depressed that it washed me out. I will get that finished by this week-end and will start another.

I would buy a colored dye and dye the entire shirt another color that will not wash you out. First I would finish the shirt and then apply the dye.

Deb- On Tuesday I was thinking about you and your family as I drove around the Blue Mountain Ski Resort. I was impressed that they were on the mountain considering it was about 50 degrees. Glad to hear you got to go skiing and snowboarding.

Marci- Hope you feel better soon

:wizard: :wizard: :grouphug: :grouphug: for Michael

I would like to have less computer time but between my emails/work projects and my online classes, some days it feels like I am always staring at a screen.

Keep your fingers crossed for me that I finish my assignment due Saturday, by tonight so that I can spend a bunch of time at a SU retreat this weekend. Also I am thinking about applying for a camp director position within the Girl Scout council I am currently working in. Not sure if it would work because I am trying to plan a vacation for summer time. Plus I do not think I have some of the qualifications. But I may still give it a try. Who knows what I will do or what will happen.

I gotta get ready to head to work. I have a Service team event tonight and all the higher ups will be there, I have to helps set up tables and things for this and then help host it.

Good luck with the assignment and the camp director position. Sounds like a great opportunity for you if you can make it work. I would definitely apply though if you are interested. You bring a lot to the table and the things you don't meet on their list may not matter as much in the end.

Anyone know a good place to buy a pin-type lanyard locally? Rachel is planning to give Terra some trading pins for her birthday. They are Rachel's old traders, but I'm all for regifting if it saves me from buying them and Terra is asking for them. I'm thinking about finding a cheaper lanyard for Rachel to put them before wrapping.

I did notice that our Disney Store has a blue lanyard with 2 pins for $9.50 so I may actually just get that for her myself instead since she hasn't really asked for anything in particular so far.

Theresa - I'm very jealous that you guys got Scott, but not terribly surprised, as his mother wanted him to go to CU to be with his "uncle." And we all know when momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy! To answer your question, we probably won't be traveling to the CU/UT game, but I'll keep you posted if that should change. We'll have a ton of home games next season, and my parents unfortunately did not have a pleasant experience when they were up there for a game a few years back. CU fans don't have the best reputation!

You are right they don't have the best reputation....hopefully the last couple of years are changing that (there are some new very, very rigid rules in place) and the fact the football team is actually doing well.:rotfl2:

I am so sorry about your knee. I can sympathize:hug:

Good morning! I see we still have our happy home. I'm going back to catch up.

I swear DS goes to a school where the inmates run the asylum.

They sent home a form MONTHS ago to pre-order yearbooks. BUT they didn't want you to PAY for it, just order it. So today I get an e-mail (a mass e-mail, not an e-mail to me specifically) saying that they have ALL these yearbooks ordered that haven't been paid for. Um, yeah, because you never ASKED for payment! Apparently the principal has been saying during daily announcements that the kids need to bring their money. Like DS is going to say something to me about that! He thought we paid when we sent the order form back! :headache:

So DS said they were saying something about going online to the Jostens site. Fine. The site says we should have gotten an invoice. I called, and they have no record of us ordering a yearbook so they don't have a total for me or an invoice # or anything. Great.

So I called the school and asked to speak to the yearbook advisor. She doesn't have a phone in her room, but they will give her a message to call me. Perfect.

Here's a thought! Make people PAY when they ORDER! I was on the yearbook staff in high school and I honestly don't remember how it worked. I know we ordered extra books and sold them during lunch because I remember staffing the table. It just seems stupid to think people won't back out on their orders - make them pay at the time they place the order. :sad2: :sad2:
Elizabeth, your problems' with DS's school seem never-ending. I say pack up and move to another school district. Like one in Virginia. ;)

Marci - I sure hope your meds quickly kick in today and you get to feeling a LOT better.

Would any of you work fo this company selling fundraiser stuff?

Would any of you think they are a good company and do a fundraiser via them?

http://www.abcfundraising.com/homebiz/

Why? Well I found them while looking for a fundraiser for Ellie and am thinking of becoming a distributor for them. Not sure at this time if it is a great idea, but thinking of it.
IMHO, I would never take a job where I had to sell stuff. It's not for me, not in my personality. Good luck. :wizard:

Is she the one that made the passports? I wondered about those. That is the only thing that I can think of that would have singled any one person out.
No, I think that was Pat. I think there must be something more to this than we know.

This was perfectly said, Tia. I saw it as I was hitting "REPLY" and thought I would just use your words instead! Thank you, and GO FOR IT, BECKY! :thumbsup2

Marci hope you are feeling better soon :wizard: Bladder infections are no fun.

Marci, take care of yourself! I hope you can get to the Dr. and get some antibiotics! :wizard:

Prayers & :wizard: for Micheal & his family! He is such a cutie & I really enjoyed reading her TR.

I hope Michael's surgery goes well and his recovery is speedy! :wizard:

Good luck getting your assignment finished! I would definitely apply for the position because they may not get any applicants who meet ALL of the specifications. :thumbsup2

I was going to suggest the one from Disney Store! The ones from Disney Shopping are flimsy fabric, which I didn't know when I bought ours. We all have one and we don't use them. You might be able to order one from Disney DelivEARS which is actual park merchandise. I have also gotten at least one lanyard from EvilBay for a decent price. Keep in mind they retail for $5, so you don't want to pay more than that. :)
