have a great day all

Elin, was that only on your local channel?

you know, Terry... I don't know about that! It was in the middle of the Superbowl, so I would think it would be hard for the local channel to stuck it in, wouldn't it? Maybe not! :confused3

Did anyone else see it?

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Count me as one who didn't want to get up this morning either!

according to this, we will need to start a new thread soon.

From Webmaster Alex

Sorry for the delay on this, we had to have a piece of software custom written to cut up the existing long threads.
We have also decided how to handle long threads moving forward:
1. Threads will be closed at 250 pages (3750 posts)
2. Any existing thread over 250 pages will be locked as is.
3. The really long threads that were removed will come back over the next week or so. I have to shut the boards down to cut them up so I will try to do it during "off hours". We are also trying index them so people will be able to reference them.

I hope everyone is enjoying the much faster boards!

Alex

Good morning!

I got a decent night's sleep, but I wouldn't mind going back to bed anyway!

Elin - I didn't hear anything about no campaign ads. DH commented that he didn't think there were very many beer ads and he wondered if there was some sort of cap on how many they were showing. :confused3

I need to go make sure DS is getting dressed and not playing with toys. Chat with you later!

Theresa love the necklace & I know Cassidy will as well :thumbsup2

Elin I do not recall seeing a political campaign commercial, but then maybe I just missed it :confused3

Sounds like we will be starting a lot of new threads, 3000 some posts is nothing to us :rotfl:

Well we woke up to a thunder & lightning storm, maybe all that snow will melt away!

Elizabeth - the cakes both look great!

Elizabeth -- I liked the cakes too -- especially the baseball one!

I hope everyone is having better weather than last week. We were 70 degrees at 6 a.m. We'll be warm today, then a cool front will come through, and we'll be back down in the 30s tonight. :upsidedow

Dallas had a Mardi Gras party/parade Saturday night -- their first. I was already in Dallas running errands for work and buying a new dryer (not my fav part) so we decided to go. They were expecting 5000 and had closer to 35,000. I was glad we went very early, as we didn't have problems parking or finding a spot for the parade. Unfortunately, it was very short and they didn't have nearly enough beads, but the boys did enjoy it.

Yesterday was spent at Church, then making a pound cake, peanut butter balls and an artichoke dip for the superbowl watching party. I really loved the Hank Budweiser commercial -- too cute!

Now I really need to get back to watching what I am eating, and I don't mean watching it go on my mouth!

Have a good day everyone! :)

Deb- The top looks fantastic. I'm sorry that you're not happy with the way it fits.  your Robot.

Chris- Sorry :sad2: My cousins all feel the same way.'s

Glynis- Your snow sounds downright scary/crazy. I would have been scared to death had I woken up to 2 inches of snow in my house.

Elizabeth- Those cakes are awesome, they sure looked scrumptious.

Vicki- I love your top!!

Theresa- Cassidy's necklace. Sorry you had to see that accident site.'s

Marci- The parade sounded fun. Glad you were able to get a good spot.

Elin- I didn't actually watch the game (but I managed to win 3 out of 4 quarters on the pool at my aunt's house :cool1: ) so I have no idea about the ad.

Janet- Your storm sounded fascinating albeit a tiny bit scary. Hope your snow melts!

Bernadette- Yep, the site was probably the cause of your headache! By the way, the Tink border is back today.

I can't remember what else I read.'s and :wizard: all around.

Well, I am DIS'ing from inside a huge snow cocoon! We got hit with a storm sometime last night. I woke up at 5:00 FREEZING!!! I checked the heat and found that one of my lovely children (or Alan and he's just not confessing) turned it completely off yesterday! I cranked it up, and went into the kitchen for a glass of water. Imagine my surprise/horror to find that our back door had blown open (after Alan swore to me he'd deadbolted it), and our floor was covered with 2 inches of snow. The snow was still coming down hard!!!

I decided to soak in a hot bubble bath to warm up, and by the time I got out, the kids were up, so we had breakfast and got ready for church. The snow was still coming down hard, and the wind was blowing terribly, too. Halfway through Sunday School, we were informed that the rest of church was being cancelled and we were to pick up our kids and go home before the storm got any worse (apparently, it's supposed to get twice as bad in about 3 hours). So, we got back in the mini van and headed for home. The snow was so deep that we got stuck trying to turn into our driveway. Thanks to Alan and a wonderful neighbor, we dug out our car enough that we could get onto the driveway. Alan is now snowblowing our driveway!

So, here we all sit, back in our snuggle jammies, with hot cocoa in hand, tomato soup and sandwiches cooking in the background! I cannot believe this weather. It's the worst winter we've had in close to 100 years. At last look, we have 12 new inches on top of the 8 inches that hadn't yet melted from the last storm.

COULD WE PLEASE HAVE SPRING NOW???????

Yikes! Glad you got out early and home safely. Stay warm! I totally understand the need for it to end. That was me a few winters ago when we had 100+ inches our first winter back in Boston after 2 in SoCal.

I didn't want to get up this morning either. I couldn't fall asleep and Colby woke up at 2 AM with his feet and legs aching. It took me about an hour to get him comfortable and not crying. Thanks to Motrin, heating pad and leg and foot massages. Once he fell back asleep he was fine through the rest of the night. I find these nights of broken sleep just don't cut it. Since we have been getting him up for the potty during the night for the last 2 weeks sleep has been very broken. I'm not a happy Mommy. I just can't fathom how long this is going to take as he just does not wake up and he cannot hold it for longer than 4 or 5 hours. He is nearly 5 1/2 and I would think that he is capable, but I guess not. We don't even let him drink in the evening (which he is not happy about ) Did anyone else have Night time potty issues and when did they resolve?

I'm still at a loss with the top that I made. I'm toying with the idea of buying a long tank top and making a fat belt with the material to tie my outfit together with Chris'. I never realized how fussy I was about tops until now :lmao: I think I'll try to find an olive colored tank or cami to wear under it first and see if that makes a difference. That square neck does not allow for a supportive bra and I am just too old to not wear a bra. Chris thinks it looks great, but I need support :rotfl:

My SIL did with my oldest nephew. I am not sure when it resolved but it must have been when he was about 7. The doctor did say if boys have male relatives who have to go during the middle of the night he most likely will too. Poor kid seemed to inherited the Heppner small bladder.

Working on cake pics. I am having issues with the memory cards not loading into the computer! :scared:

This one is Princess's cake. It looks a little funny because I cropped it so her name won't show!

This is DS's.

Those are so cute! I really like how DS' turned out. The shape really makes the cake! I've got to get thinking on how to do Terra's cake. Guess I had better start working on that this week. I may just chicken out and use the figurines for the characters. However, I have a "girl" shaped pan that I want to get out. I think that I can turn the shape into Buzz and then put Woody standing in front of him, but we'll have to see.

Riley had this problem because he sleeps so hard. Once he is out he does not wake up for anything! When they are younger they tend to not have as much control on holding it. I know I am not much help, but it does get better

my job is an after school counselor hired on by the ymca. its kinda ironic because i am at a school that was named after one of my mom's principles she worked under. also i might be doing an at home csr position.

Very cool! It sounds like a great opportunity for you.
