DDA Chapter 3

Well, since no one has asked, I'm going to tell you anyway. When I went shopping today, I bought myself a pair of lilac Mary Jane Crocs. Woohoo! :woohoo: I love them. I've had my eye on them for awhile at Dunham's and when I saw that we get a AAA discount at Dunham's I decided not to wait any longer. I need to break them in before our trip. :dance3:

I need to find some mammoths

I am sorry....

if it helps any Jim was a pain in the tushy about Abi (it was his turn to stay home with her on Fri.) She went to bed early....almost 2 hours early....no "I guess I should call in tomorrow huh?"and he actually left early for work Friday so I couldn't catch him:headache:

So dads can be oblivious.....but it sounds like ex is being an extra big pain in the tooshie!!

Ain't that the truth (Tom and Chris being the exceptions)! My SIL called this morning to tell me that her hubby was alone with all 7 kids yesterday, and when she got home, he said, "Are they ALWAYS like this?" I guess they'd been bickering and fighting (normal for these kids), and he was ready to tear his hair out. When she told him that's normal behavior, he said, "I don't know how you do it all day long." Well, duh! Couldn't we say that about all moms? I don't know how any of us do it all day long!

I need to find some mammoths

Oooo, I loves me my mammoths!!!!

At the mall Friday night, their was a whole kiosk of mammoths. From baby sizes to Men's sizes! I so wanted another pair, but Alan said I really didn't need the baby blue pair.

I also bought two easy sew shirt patterns and some material. I'm going to try to sew myself a couple of shirts. I got two different kinds of material.

I have been thinking of doing the same thing for the girls (me too)

Hey, Theresa, are you guys getting this storm? It's a doozy! We are in white out conditions, and Alan is trying to get home. He's been trying since 6:30 and it's 7:50 now. I normally takes 40 minutes to get home. He did call so I wouldn't worry, and he said it's icy as all get out on the road. Great, so now I'm worrying!

we are supposed to get the tail end...I heard it's blizzard conditions as close as an hour away from us.

I haven't seen them anywhere....but I wear Crocs to walk to work with fuzzy socks...and I hate wearing socks.

It is a blizzard here! However, I'm positive that they won't close the schools. They never do. Here in our town, the snow would have to be waist high before they would close down. I shouldn't complain, it means that our Spring Break will be longer, but sometimes I think it's just heartless to send the kids out in this kind of weather.

Hopefully it will blow itself out before morning.

They had a large selection of those at Dunham's tonight as well. I don't need those though. At least that is what I'm currently telling myself. Who knows how long that will last. :lmao:

You'll notice that I didn't put Alan on the list of unoblivious dads. That's because, while he's a great dad, he's clueless most of the time. He can turn their noise off, and just sit there while world war 3 rages around him. It's one of the things I hate about him. How I'd like to be able to turn it off, but I can't.

Still, he's a good daddy!

It tends to rain nearly everyday in August. I had good luck buying a "generic" rain cover for a single stroller-they do sell them for back to front double strollers too.
thanks besides babies r us and toys r us where have you seen them?

it was wicked walking to work this morning.....I thought the wind was going to blow me away...and I ain't a stick:rotfl:

Well, I feel like I dropped off the face of the earth yesterday. I came home from church with a bad headache. I took tylenol and some caffeine and hoped for the best. By the time we ate Sunday linner, the headache was worse! I hid it as best I could since I had promised Leslie that she could help make the treat for our family movie night. We made our cake, cleaned up, and then gathered everyone together to watch Jungle Book. About 5 minutes into it, I knew that I wasn't going to make it! The migraine lights were flashing in my eyes, so I turned the kids over to Alan and was in bed by 6:30.

Usually, that does the trick for me. I am in a dark room with a cold washcloth over my eyes, but for some reason, it didn't really work last night. I was plagued with painful dreams all night. I would wake myself up crying. I haven't ever done that, so I don't know what's going on.

When I got up this morning, I could feel the headache still hovering behind my eyes. Took more tylenol and started the day off with a diet Coke. The pain hasn't completely gone away, yet, but it's manageable.

So, now I'm all caught up here, and should tackle the laundry.

Oh, Glynis! I hope as I continue reading to find that you are feeling better.

There have been different times in our marriage, that each of us took our turns doing this. Chuck really does pay close attention most of the time. The girls realize how lucky they are having a dad like him.
