DDA Chapter 3

And Chuck. And probably the Bobs.
Bob did offer to stay with her if I had things scheduled that I couldn't get out of. I didn't want to stick him with having to clean her poopy butt though! :rotfl:

You'll notice that I didn't put Alan on the list of unoblivious dads. That's because, while he's a great dad, he's clueless most of the time. He can turn their noise off, and just sit there while world war 3 rages around him. It's one of the things I hate about him. How I'd like to be able to turn it off, but I can't.

Still, he's a good daddy!

I'd like to turn it off too....it just isn't going to ever happen. I do feel bad for Jim because he doesn't want to be as oblivious as he has been up until now...I just think it may be too late to really become involved.

Here are the patterns. For Disney, I want the short sleeve ones (not sleeveless or long sleeve).

cute patterns I like the top ones.

Bless you gals that are into this sewing. I've tried it a few times, but by the time I buy the pattern, the material, the notions, etc., and then put a price on my time, I'm way over what it would cost me to buy it in a store.

I'm looking forward to seeing your creations.

Here is the material for the two shirts. Not sure which will be which yet.

The first was $2 per yard and I needed 1-3/8 yard. The second was about $3 per yard and I needed the same amount. It is a lavendar shade and the picture doesn't do it justice.

Of course, the 1st one will be for Animal Kingdom if it turns out. :lmao:

EDIT: This is from AllEars:

I heard from someone that tried to purchase some AP merchandise in the fall that they were no longer carrying it. :confused3 They were fazing it out, and all that was left was limited sizes. I remember seeing it advertised on the AP site when we were first members in '05, but don't remember seeing it any time recently.

Janet - thanks again for the link.

Tammi - if you need some sites, let me know! :teeth:

I know I'm not Tammi, but I would love some sites, if they're about digital scrapbooking! :thumbsup2

I am IRATE. I mean IRATE to the point where I am almost shaking.

Oh, Elizabeth, I am so sorry! Needless to say, I feel your pain! I hope your insurance fix is much more prompt and less painful than my cell phone debacle! :wizard: :wizard:

Did anyone see this? Doesn't this sound COOL!!!!!!

"Disney Magic Connection" Devices Tested at the Magic Kingdom
Select Magic Kingdom guests have been asked to test drive new interactive map software, run on Nintendo DS. Called Disney Magic Connection, the wireless device offers real-time park information, including wait times, character locations, and park routes. The GPS-enabled programming includes ride information, trivia, and games that are activated by your proximity to attractions (think Pal Mickey, just less cuddly, more tech-y). When fully functional, the program will also include information on which FASTPASS-enabled rides still have FPs available, and when the return time for the FPs is. Although there is no official release time, it's possible this system could be available to all guests by the spring of 2009.

I heard about it on a podcast I listen to. At first I didn't like the idea of people wandering around with their noses in DS's, but the whole real-time FP and wait-time info. would be cool!

What would be really great is if you could get that info. texted to your mobile phone, or have some sort of mobile website you could only access while in the park. That way, you wouldn't have to carry around something extra! :thumbsup2

This is a vent post so feel free to continue on.

If you spoke to your 5 yr old dd in the morning and she told you that she was staying home from school because of mushy poop, and then she again called you in the middle of the afternoon just to chitchat, saying her belly hurt and that her poop was mushy....would you at any time speak with the parental unit providing care to said child?????!!!!! Of course you would! Would you at any time ask said parental unit if the child was going to school the following day??? Of course you would! If not, would you at any time volunteer to take the day off so said parental unit would not have to rearrange TWO days schedules???? Altogether now.....of course you would!!!!

I called her dad over an hour ago since he never bothered to contact me to see how she was. No answer, left message. He just now called back, after I had already made arrangements to take the day off. I get the standard answer of I meant to call earlier, I forgot where I left my phone....blah, blah, blah. Excuses, excuses. It just infuriates me that he is such a POS dad, but in the kids' eyes he is just wonderful! ARGGGG!!!!!!

So yes, she is not quite back to normal so I am keeping her home again tomorrow.

Whew....I feel better now.

I'm so sorry, Tammi.

Jennifer - glad to hear your doctor doesn't think you have kidney stones. I would definitely get an '08 guidebook - if nothing else, see if you can check one out at the library. I love the Underground Guide, as well as Passporter.

Theresa - sorry you're continuing to have co-worker issues. I hope another opportunity presents itself to you soon!

I think it's beautiful:lovestruc

Paula - I am sorry my DL pix made you homesick, but glad they brought back good memories!

I'm not going to count my time. I agree once I add the time it isn't worth it. However, I want some custom creations and am looking for something to do besides work. You all know I'm a workaholic and I'm trying to be better but I need some hobbies. Girl Scouts was my hobby and it has been hard not having that this year. However, that doesn't work because that requires a schedule and that doesn't work for me right now.

I did buy 3 yards of this Disney fabric. I fell in love with it but don't know what I'll do with it yet. It's pink. The lady at Walmart thought it might make a good skirt.

I am doing it because both the girls want to learn....might as well learn too!!

I am hoping my friend can show me some leftie secrets....it's so hard looking at a right handed machine with my brain without exploding!!

Thanks everyone for the welcome backs, the comments on the pics and the good thoughts for today. :goodvibes It was horrible but since I expected it, it was manageable.

I've read along but my brain is mush, so here is a blanket of :wizard: and 's. I am headed to bed. I think by Wednesday I will be running on fumes.

I'm sorry it was bad after all, Robyn. I hope you get a restful night sleep!

Well, since no one has asked, I'm going to tell you anyway. When I went shopping today, I bought myself a pair of lilac Mary Jane Crocs. Woohoo! :woohoo: I love them. I've had my eye on them for awhile at Dunham's and when I saw that we get a AAA discount at Dunham's I decided not to wait any longer. I need to break them in before our trip. :dance3:

Yay!

I love, love, love my Mary Jane's! I wish I had a job where I could wear them every day.

Hey, Theresa, are you guys getting this storm? It's a doozy! We are in white out conditions, and Alan is trying to get home. He's been trying since 6:30 and it's 7:50 now. I normally takes 40 minutes to get home. He did call so I wouldn't worry, and he said it's icy as all get out on the road. Great, so now I'm worrying!

Oh my gosh!!! :scared1: Lots of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: that he gets home safely. Please let us know when he does, okay?

Bob did offer to stay with her if I had things scheduled that I couldn't get out of. I didn't want to stick him with having to clean her poopy butt though! :rotfl:

What a guy! :thumbsup2

When this first came up on my screen I could only see half of the girl's face. I thought it was me! Then on second glance decided she's much too young! :rotfl2:

I can totally see that! I also thought it looked like Faith Hill!

Can't wait to see your creations, Vicki! I so do not sew!!!

I thought hair pretties as soon I saw it. But I also thought it was orange....glad you said it was pink.

Vicki - I like the MM pattern.
