DDA Chapter 3

No cruise for me-that's Anne Marie. Maybe I'll do it after I get the borders on my photopass pictures. It is SOOOOOOO frustratingly slow. I really need to look at my May trip's Color Coded Matrix of Fun. I haven't even started August's matrix yet. I need to think about what meals we want to do-we won't be on the dining plan this year.

I don't think I would. I would rather buy a different book if you wanted an update. Have you purchased a passporter? I really like that one.

oops sorry thats right she gets their on the 18th I think
you get their the 14th right?
no I have never bought a passporter. I have gift cards to barnes and noble trying to think if their was anything for the trip I could use them for.

Elizabeth - sorry about the insurance issues. I hope you can get it straightened out tomorrow and that it really is a misprint!

Janet - did you find the link to the pin? I saw it on disneyshopping under the personlized items.

This is a vent post so feel free to continue on.

If you spoke to your 5 yr old dd in the morning and she told you that she was staying home from school because of mushy poop, and then she again called you in the middle of the afternoon just to chitchat, saying her belly hurt and that her poop was mushy....would you at any time speak with the parental unit providing care to said child?????!!!!! Of course you would! Would you at any time ask said parental unit if the child was going to school the following day??? Of course you would! If not, would you at any time volunteer to take the day off so said parental unit would not have to rearrange TWO days schedules???? Altogether now.....of course you would!!!!

I called her dad over an hour ago since he never bothered to contact me to see how she was. No answer, left message. He just now called back, after I had already made arrangements to take the day off. I get the standard answer of I meant to call earlier, I forgot where I left my phone....blah, blah, blah. Excuses, excuses. It just infuriates me that he is such a POS dad, but in the kids' eyes he is just wonderful! ARGGGG!!!!!!

So yes, she is not quite back to normal so I am keeping her home again tomorrow.

Whew....I feel better now.

I'm really sorry to hear this Tammi. pixiedust:

Thanks everyone for the welcome backs, the comments on the pics and the good thoughts for today. :goodvibes It was horrible but since I expected it, it was manageable.

I've read along but my brain is mush, so here is a blanket of :wizard: and 's. I am headed to bed. I think by Wednesday I will be running on fumes.

We arrive on the 14th.:thumbsup2

I don't know if you really need a passporter-maybe your library has it and you can see if you would like it.

You only have 20 more to go.....

The problem with ponchos as a rain cover is they don't stay on well. I guess you could try binder clips to keep it in place.

thanks
I hope it does not rain while we are their, I guess I will be looking for a stroller rain cover.

Well, since no one has asked, I'm going to tell you anyway. When I went shopping today, I bought myself a pair of lilac Mary Jane Crocs. Woohoo! :woohoo: I love them. I've had my eye on them for awhile at Dunham's and when I saw that we get a AAA discount at Dunham's I decided not to wait any longer. I need to break them in before our trip. :dance3:

Did anyone see this? Doesn't this sound COOL!!!!!!

"Disney Magic Connection" Devices Tested at the Magic Kingdom
Select Magic Kingdom guests have been asked to test drive new interactive map software, run on Nintendo DS. Called Disney Magic Connection, the wireless device offers real-time park information, including wait times, character locations, and park routes. The GPS-enabled programming includes ride information, trivia, and games that are activated by your proximity to attractions (think Pal Mickey, just less cuddly, more tech-y). When fully functional, the program will also include information on which FASTPASS-enabled rides still have FPs available, and when the return time for the FPs is. Although there is no official release time, it's possible this system could be available to all guests by the spring of 2009.

We saw a ton of people with these and Emma really wanted to get one. Eric and I thought they were some sort of translator. If only we would have known.

congrats I need some new sandals the few pairs of crocs I tried on in the stores did not fit me right

I also bought two easy sew shirt patterns and some material. I'm going to try to sew myself a couple of shirts. I got two different kinds of material.

Hey, Theresa, are you guys getting this storm? It's a doozy! We are in white out conditions, and Alan is trying to get home. He's been trying since 6:30 and it's 7:50 now. I normally takes 40 minutes to get home. He did call so I wouldn't worry, and he said it's icy as all get out on the road. Great, so now I'm worrying!

I am sorry....

if it helps any Jim was a pain in the tushy about Abi (it was his turn to stay home with her on Fri.) She went to bed early....almost 2 hours early....no "I guess I should call in tomorrow huh?"and he actually left early for work Friday so I couldn't catch him:headache:

So dads can be oblivious.....but it sounds like ex is being an extra big pain in the tooshie!!

thanks

It tends to rain nearly everyday in August. I had good luck buying a "generic" rain cover for a single stroller-they do sell them for back to front double strollers too.

I didn't see any. I did see some folks in Epcot with headphones that they said were translators.
