DDA Chapter 3

It's funny you should mention that...I was looking at the GF spa packages..I have even tossed around the idea of the couples message package...since it's my bday & valentine's day

I can't think of a better place to be for your 40th, you should pamper yourself with a Spa day.

Oooo, I say Yes!!! That sounds like the perfect way to celebrate both days!

Off to the party supply store...I hope I can find some stuff with this whole mystic/fortune teller theme.

Tell Abi thanks for me! She is such a doll! We don't have a tv schedule. Actually, we don't get a newspaper at all. Alan is surrounded by the news all day, and refuses to have to deal with it when he gets home!

we actually looked through the tv....gotta love a tv that has it's own schedule lookup. We get the paper on the weekends so that I can get coupons but that's about it.

I keep checking June airfare...the cheapest I can find is $291. I am wondering if that will be as good as I can get?

Well, part of my strategy is to see how many seats are still open. If the planes start to fill up I will get nervous and go ahead and get DH booked. If the plane stays empty I will wait. We jumped the gun for the December tickets - they came down after I booked us on SW. Of course then the SW tickets dropped too, which gave us a credit. We are still 6 months out, so I think I am safe just watching for awhile longer.

My bosses have a satellite that has the "guide" built in. I love that feature, but I hate that their TV won't work when it rains! :rotfl2:

So just know I would have drove all of you nuts with homework and I still would. I was really good about getting it done when I was a small child, but not so much the older I got. I always get it done, but it is near when it is due. My goal for my classes this semester is to complete assignments before the day they are due. I am not doing to well on getting things done at least the day before.

I was reading the review for the first assignment and thought it was personalized to each of us because part of my assignment was at the bottom. I realized nope that was not the case. It was to everyone and my assignment was being used as the example of what everyone should do. It was the only one there, hence my confusion, my name was not attached to it or anything but I recognized it right away.

I need to get dressed and head to Palmerton; for a bowling event and meeting with the SU managers. I hope to stop on again later tonight.

I am not caught up. But hugs especially to Karen, Jen, Debbie, Glynis, Deb, Jennifer, Jennifer, Tom, Theresa, Amy, Terry, Stephanie, so on and so forth. Hope all the sickies fell better soon, the kids start getting homework done without issue and that everyone has a great weekend.

hi eveyrone--hope you are having a great day..

ive been watching my niece since 10 and its just what i needed..i love this little one and she has cheered me up like crazy!

im headed to the movies--chick flick time!
see you soon :)

Karen, the maker of that outfit you saw hasn't posted on the new Disboutique thread yet. I think her screen name was Calypso something! She has golden retrievers in her siggy. I remember that! If she posts on the new thread I will let you know. So far the old thread is still "hidden".

Sounds like the perfect birthday, good to see you.

Good Morning DDA,

We went out to dinner last night, DH said we needed to try it and see if I oculd find something suitable on the menu. Well, was that ever a disaster. I ended up eating my salad, and leaving everything else. I tried the mashed cauliflower as a substitute for potatos, YUCK! And the green beans had no flavor, I told DH that I would be better off cooking at home, at least there I can use alternate seasonings to give the food some flavor.

We'll try again but not anytime soon.

Chanon - do you think we should go ahead and apply for passports if we are going on a cruise in May? I know you don't need them right now, but they say that may change as early as this summer. DD has decided on the cruise for her Graduation trip.

Deb - there are some great cookbooks out there if you need any new ideas on foods!
I'd definately by the passport. Remember that if you need to fly home for an emergency for some reason - you wouldn't be able to do that from an island because of no passport. Get it now (in case the goverment changes it AGAIN) and then you won't have to worry about it at all!

My appointment went well yesterday. The baby's heartbeat was strong, and I'm scheduled for an ultrasound in four weeks. I also gained five pounds! I think I ate a little too much birthday cake this week. ;)

Beth, if you get a chance, I would love to see a picture of Matthew as John Bender! I wish I could have seen his performance! :)

Sounds like everyone is having a busy weekend! Take care!

thanks for all the condolences. my dad called last night and said they went out for fish last night in memory of my grandmother. she LOVED fish. my dad is doing well too. when mom called last night after she passed my dad in the back ground said her uterus is fixed now. she had a prolapsed uterus that was causing all the problems and noone would do surgery on her at her age.

tom thanks for her name. i saw some of her adult designs and i wanna talk to her about them.

lindsay, elizabeth, and marci- i am trying to plan a trip up to dallas/plano area to visit my cousin(s) some time this spring/summer. my cousin is starting a new job within the next few weeks then she'll let me know a good time to come. lets plan something when i know i am coming

lindsay do you know anyone that works at ernst and young? my cousin works for them in dallas

those of you that have traveled with small children before hpw many outfits did you take for a 8 day/7 night trip? I am working on my packing list.

I usually took about 10 outfits and 6-7 pajamas. I always changed her into jammies at the parks so that was always available for a backup outfit as well.

Wow! Poor mom and dad!!! Katie has been doing the same thing lately. I don't know why she puts things off until the last minute, as she gets really stressed out and then turns on the waterworks. I saw this happening last term, and so this term I am on great email terms with her teacher. I email her every morning, asking her what homework Katie will come home with. That way, I'm armed and dangerous by the time she walks through the door after school.

I just wish that Jacob's teachers were that good about communicating! He has a duo of teacher's that ignore their emails, and don't return calls. Luckily, Jacob is a bit more responsible with his homework. Here's knocking on wood that he stays that way!

So, what was the book? Was it worth reading?

Nick read Spy High. It is about a group of kids that attend a school to become spies. Then they are dropped off on in an undisclosed area and have to find there way out. The meet up with some strange things. There is blood and guts and Nick enjoyed it of course. He is into everything Spy these days. It did touch on a bit of teen relationship which surprised me. I wouldn't have chosen to read it, but it was good for a 12 year old boy.

my grandma passed last night at about 7:30

  I'm so sorry. Know that she is in a better place and is no longer suffering.

:) Hey, I could pretty much be the mom to a couple of the "youngsters" on here.:scared1: Bill told me 40 didn't bother him at all. He had a crisis at 30! What a turkey! :rotfl:

I had my crisis at 20! Silly, hey? The other ones have never bothered me. I didn't like not being a teenager anymore. It meant I had to grow up & be responsible. :lmao: Yeah right! Like that will ever happen.

Karen, I am so sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing.'s

Amy, :yay: for a strong heartbeat. Are you going to find out the baby's sex?

Glynis, Your birthday celebration sounded wonderful.

Jen, Don't you dare let your ex get you down. Your prince is out there:goodvibes

Tom, I hope Leighanna is feeling better today.

Deb- :wizard: for Colby. I hope his rash clears up soon with no complications.

Elizabeth, Wish your DS a Happy Birthday! :cake:

We are on our way home:sad1: We got up this morning and loaded the van up and then hit the food court for breakfast. We had 9 CS and snack credits left going into today. After breakfast we made our way to DTD for some last minute things. We managed to use up all the snack credits by getting some make your rice crispy treats and Mickey head cookies- I'll use those as gifts for my daycare kids. We also got some sandwiches from Earl of Sandwich for the ride home. We plan to stop at the NC/VA border and then get up and finish tomorrow.

I'm trying to post the link to our photopass pics but I can't figure it out:confused3 Can someone tell me what to do?!? Please!

deb i forgot to tell you. my dad had all the childhood diseases and he is fine. he even had scarlet fever. he missed all of kindergarten but a few days because he was sick. after that he didnt miss a day of school. colby will be fine.

jen do get your self down about not have anyone look at it this way: they are stressing about weddings and kids and you get to enjoy no kids and no wedding stresses. i get upset about being lonely too and not having kids anytime soon but hey i get to spoil my "nieces" and "nephews" and send them back when they are bad:rotfl:
