Good morning, DDA!
Glynis - So glad your dad is coming to stay with you!!!
Debbie - I'm so sorry your daughter is having such issues getting to her surgery. I think your advice was good. Hope the new doctor, and his office, are better.
I've finished up most of Christmas stuff around here. I've got some treats I want to make this week, but that's the fun part so it doesn't count.Today we're having a Christmas party with my Brownie troop at my house, but I've only got 5-6 girls total so it shouldn't be too much. We're making baby food jar snow globes, caroling and having snacks so pretty easy peasy. Tonight is the church music program and tasting party (YUM!). After that, the rest of the week is smooth sailing. I only have kiddos 3 days and I'm down the craziest of them all week so it should be a good week. Gifts are bought, wrapped and under the tree. Decorations are up. Only one room left to clean and it's mostly Christmas prep anyway so here's hoping for a nice relaxing week!
Yay for your Dad coming! Spanish Fork sounds great! Good luck finishing up the girls! The guest room is done, and wonder of wonders, my dad has agreed to come spend some time with us and some with my sister over the holidays! Thanks for the good thoughts! He needed that kind of prodding!
We are taking the kids to a small community south of us, Spanish Fork, where there is a GINORMOUS light display. I'll take some pictures of it, as it's really spectacular!
I can't believe that it's one week to Christmas! My boys are taken care of, but I've still got one or two things left to get the girls. I hope I can get it all done!
Hope you got lots done!Today is my last day off before Christmas so I had better make the most of it.
My daughter has cancelled her surgery that she was supposed to have Tuesday, the doctor's staff is the most incompetent I have ever seen, so I advised her to find another doctor, she sees the new one tomorrow.
How were recitals? AND...are you packed yet????Good morning, DDA!![]()

I may have over done it a bit this weekend. My foot is sore but my back is very sore. My back has been sore from walking funny with the big boot. BUT...I'm pretty happy to have done what is done.
I made my friend Mary K a yoga mat bag-I don't have a yoga mat so I used a towel to take this photo:

I made another friend a tote bag with a draw string cover:

And made a tea wallet and have 3 more cut out and partially complete:

How was the Brownie party?
Bernadette - I am sorry your MIL and SIL won't be coming for Christmas. The big question is... are you?Your gifts are lovely. But don't overdo it... you have to let that foot heal!
Recitals went well. There were only 4 children missing from the 30 that should have participated. I think those are pretty good numbers for a Saturday morning the week before Christmas!
I have 4 recitals tonight and 4 tomorrow night. Then we will leave about 3:30 Wednesday morning. And no, I am not packed. The laundry is done and the clothes are laid out on my "packing table" beside the suitcases. But the packing isn't done. Might not get done until tomorrow morning since I have lessons and a hair appointment this morning and lessons and recitals this afternoon/evening. It will get done. Just not sure when!
Good luck with the packing! You'll get it done, no worries. Then you can sit back and relax on the plane and enjoy your much deserved time away.
That is easier said than done! I had a departmental holiday lunch today and then we take off for the rest of the day. I wanted to come home and get some more done but I was exhausted and ended up falling asleep. I got up after a few hours and cut out a bunch more tea wallets but didn't sew any. I'm glad to be off my feet right now.But don't overdo it... you have to let that foot heal!
Thanks but you could absolutely do it!!! Did you make your cards? They were lovely!Bernadette, I love all your sewing projects. They make me want to get my machine out, but I doubt mine would turn out as good as yours.
Sounds perfect! We had a good time. Made snowglobes from baby food jars, exchanged gift with a story reading swap and carroled to a few houses nearby. Just enough, but not too much.
Hello. I'm just going to quickly post as I need to get to bed for another long day tomorrow. Beth the cards you made are adorable. Where did you find the time?
We had agreed not to exchange gifts with Chris' mother this year. Lo and Behold she mailed us 4 cards, DO NOT OPEN TIL CHRISTMAS. Ugh Now what do we do?
I would stand by the agreement
