Good morning, DDA!

Beth - I hope your morning improves. :wizard:

I've got a long day too. My new charge is here until 8 on Tues so it makes for a 13 hour day, but she's still pretty easy so it's not much to have her here that late. Deva has a check up this afternoon so at least a get a small break away from the full house. We'll see what her official weight is. I got on the WiiFit with her yesterday and it measured her at about 10.5lbs.

Beth - I am with you today... I don't wanna go to school. :rotfl: Hope you all find the perfect school soon!

Beth - I hope your morning improves. :wizard:

Thanks! As I suspected, once I got to preschool, I was happy. The kids were all in good moods today (as was my co-teacher), so that definitely lightened my mood. I just didn't want to leave the house today. I certainly can't complain about the length of my day, though I do need to start looking for something with more hours for next year.

Elin, I am calming down some about the college search. As my mother told me yesterday, it's not a life or death decision or even a permanent one. It just feels like it is hanging over our heads right now. There doesn't seem to be a spare minute for her to work on applications, and I can't do them for her. Or relieve her of any of the other work load, for that matter. I don't think that she is a stressed as I am, but it's hard to tell with that girl. She keeps her feelings hidden very often (good and bad).

Tia, I hope that your long day runs smoothly!

I'm glad things are going well. What is the magic date to make it to for a safe delivery.

the 24th of dec. is when I will be 35 weeks and they have a god chance of staying out of the NICU and going home with us. anything before that and they will be in the hospital for a few days to weeks.

Beth - All my students who are seniors are swamped and stressed right now. I can understand how it is at your house.

Good morning, DDA!

Terri, I hope that you find some relief from the vertigo soon.

Debbie, your trip is sounding fabulous! I wish I were there. Friends just came back from WDW and said that it was great and only crowded on Halloween weekend.

Jennifer, I am glad to hear that the girls are doing so well!

Deb, I hope that your 14-hour day goes quickly!

I have to get moving this morning. I have absolutely no desire to go to preschool today, and I don't know why. I'm sure once the kids start coming in, I'll feel happier. It's a short week this week, and we're heading on a three college tour Thurs-Sat. She really needs to get moving on that. I wish all the applications were done!

I'm glad to have read that your day went better than you expected.

It seems that we are all working our butts off these days. I'm happy to be working, but really miss seeing Chris and the boys on Mondays and Tuesdays. The rest of the week is fine.

Then no babies until after Christmas:wizard:

Good Morning :wave2: I have tonight off. It feels like a mini vacation :rotfl: I hope everyone has a wonderful day :wizard:

Has anyone heard from Marci?

Good morning, DDA! I have my volunteer work in the 6th grade classroom for a little while this morning and then want to head to Toys R Us to look at some things for Christmas gifts. Then I need to get ready for our long weekend of college visits.

Have a great day, DDA!

Good Morning,

I'm letting Richie get some extra sleep this morning, why anyone would want to sleep while in Disney is beyond me :confused3

Jennifer - :wizard: PD for you that the twins aren't born early.

Beth - I have no doubt Laura will do just fine

Hello.

No Deb, I haven't heard from Marci. I've been thinking about her too, and praying that she is doing okay.

Debbie - Where are you off to today?

Half day of school today, then teacher conferences. I hope I hear good things!

Tammi, I am sure that you will get glowing reports! This is my first year without parent-teacher conferences. Once they hit middles school here, the conferences are "as needed" only. We do get Friday off because of the conferences, though.

Hello DDA!

Just a quick hi before I head to bed. The last two days have been very trying with my 2 1/2 year old. Today her mom brought a poster for stickers to start potty training. By the end of the day, I basically told her that right now we needed to focus on listening and doing what she is asked before I can worry about helping with potty training. The last two days have been a series of her doing precisely what she's not supposed to, often within seconds of having been told not to, talked to about it, or having been in time out for it. I wasn't sure until today how much of it was deliberate, but we had an incident today that proved she knows full well what's she's doing and that she's not supposed to, at least most of the time. And we're not talking little things - it's pulling the dog's tail, climbing the furniture and hitting Mom's lamp, pushing the baby when she comes close to any toy A's laid hands on that day or the day before, ripping up the bottom of the pack-n-play at naptime and laying on the lightweight bottom of it, etc. I just keep reminding myself that the 3rd child is my almost-certain ticket to Disney. That extra bit of money is what makes the trip next year a definite yes (knock on wood!!!).

In good news, I won a great Christmas for Terra today!! Family Fun is doing giveaways from their Toy of the Year issue and I won the Playmobil Wild Animal Care Center - just perfect for Terra! Yay!

Okay, computer time has gotten away from me once again and I really need to get to bed. Night all!

Have a fabulous Day my friends

Good morning, everyone!

I heard from Marci a couple of days ago on another thread we both post on. She is in good spirits and is just trying to get things squared away before her surgery. She really wants to get as much of Christmas done and taken care of before then. I'll keep you posted when I hear from her on the other thread.

Things here are moving right along! Alan is tiling the platform he built for our new wood stove, so it's exciting to see progress. I'll be glad when it's done, though!

Katie got straight A's on her first term report card, and that was a wonderful self-esteem booster for her. Of course, now we are 3 weeks into the second term, and the grades in 2 of her classes have slipped. Guess we'll have to get on her about that. Can't just rest on one term of A's!

Have a great day everyone! I hope you all are having warmer weather than we are. In other news, several of our ski resorts are opening this weekend. If any of you ski, you should plan a trip out here!

Hunter's conference was tonight. He did well, but ended up with one B+. He was very disappointed. The funny thing is that it is the same class the Nick got B+s in. Design Tech. Oh well, I'm still super proud of him.

Good Morning. It is so sad to see that I was the last post and first post. What happened to the good old days when we easily posted 10 pages? I miss hearing from everyone :sad1::sad1:

Good Morning,

I attempted a long post yesterday but lost it somehow.

Today is our last full day before we have to head back to reality, :sad2:

I won't post this on FB but this will be our last trip for a while, with Richie's cutback and our DD's wedding some things have to be cut back and as much as we love it, Disney is a luxury and will have to be put on the back burner. I'm gllad we had decided not to renew our AP's but wait until our next trip to purchase them, these expire tomorrow which worked out perfectly.

I won't post this on FB because my DD is a friend on there and I don't want her to feel bad about her wedding, it's going to be small and simple but even that comes with a big pricetag.

We met Jen, Kyle, and the girls at MK Wednesday and had a great time watching the girls watch the parade, they were so cute.

We stayed at the party until after midnight last night, so we're off to a late start today. Richie is in charge of where we go today, so we'll see how that goes.
