Oh, Debbie...

Debbie I pray that the meds work for you
My interview went very well. The manager wants to hire me as a full time department manager, but first she needs to 1) make sure she can offer a full time position(they may only hire part time to start) 2) figure out the potential hours and 3) figure out a pay rate. I made it very clear I wouldn't be working for minimum wage or part time. The ball is in her court now. Time will tell. She hoped to get back to me tomorrow. The store is called The Paper Store and this will be the 29th location. Anyone have any experience with them?
I have my second interview with GroSolar tomorrow morning. We'll see how that goes. I'm hoping by Friday to know where I stand with both of those companies plus the one I interview for last week. I'm anxious to know if I have a job or if I need to get more resumes out there.
Terry-I am enjoying your report so far!!
Your poor co-chair. Hope her treatment isn't too bad.I jumped back into the swing of things last night with my first GS Neighborhood Meeting after Deva. Didn't actually do much of it as all of the former Neighborhood Chairs still with us stepped up to run the meeting since I'd been out with Deva and my co-chair had her thyroid removed on Oct 4. She actually just found out for sure that there was cancer and that it was in the lymph nodes so I'm hoping to convince her to let me take on more - she's got several other GS things she volunteers for, plus her troop, plus 5 kids, work and her husband works 2 jobs. Hopefully, she'll let some of us take on more to help her out more.
Now I just need to get a handle on things around the house and my own troop and we'll be back in business. Today, though, I think we might get out and do something fun for Terra.
I would expect it to be very busy. I would be at the park at opening and hit the highlights in future world then I would head to the world showcase just before 11am. In years past (I haven't been since 2007) a few of the F&WF booths opened a few minutes early. It would be fun to try a few things before it got too crowded. Then when/if the crowds pick up they can just relax and take in what they can knowing they've already enjoyed quite a bit of it before the crowds hit.Quick F&WF question - If someone is going to be in Epcot on a Sunday for F&WF is the evening going to be very busy or should they stick with getting there at opening? I'm trying to figure out what to suggest since there aren't a lot of dining options still available that won't eat up a lot of their one day travelling to meals.
ETA: Also, the other parks close at 5, 7 and 8 if that makes any difference. I'm thinking they should do Epcot late regardless of whether it's a little busier since it's open later than the others and they only have one day.
Good morning, DDA!
I was down for the count Wednesday night and all day yesterday. I got hit with a nasty stomach bug that kept me from work. You all know that if I didn't teach I wasI spent about 24 hours in bed and most of that time I was asleep. I am feeling much better today and thankful that a co-worker was able to teach two of my classes for me. At some point I will have to make up the other two missed classes. Not quite sure when that will be!
