DDA Chapter 26

Pin comes out tomorrow! I can't wait!!!! I'm not sure if it hurts more now or if I'm less tolerant of it or maybe it is just ready to come out.

I have had a serious lack of brain function the past week or 2. I was wondering if perhaps all the motrin I've been taking is to blame but my real fear is that it is hormonal which would mean I won't see any improvement when I stop taking the motrin. I don't have any other age related hormone issues though so I have a tiny bit of hope that things will improve. I've been really struggling with vocabulary lately-just can't remember the words I'm thinking of.

Bernadette - Good luck tomorrow! I hope it comes out easily and without issue.

Anne Marie - Lots of :wizard: for peace until the surgery. I know that it will all go wonderfully!

Today marked the start of weekly OB appts. Apparently, we're getting close! :cloud9: My doctor confirmed the hospital doc's report of 1cm and at least 30% right now. She said everything was very low. Our newest guess on date is around the 23rd, though Kristi thinks she needs to come either before Sept 17 or on/after the 28th. They'll be out of town otherwise, and she doesn't want to miss it. Oh yeah, and Mom is supposed to go on vacation the 2nd so, as Krisit says, "there's a small window of opportunity here!" :rotfl:

Tia....coming down to the wire now, huh? It will be interesting to see which one of us goes first. I am at a 1 and 60% with the cerclage. We go tomorrow...since we go twice a week I feel like I spend my life there.

I was just thinking that this afternoon too! With you hang in there so well I'm wondering who will go first. Just once a week starting now is more than enough for me! I'm just thankful the office is typically pretty fast and on time. Today I was there for 25 min and that was the longest I've ever been there.

Not for me... I have to do an NST plus exam on
Mondays....and NST, U/S and cervix check on Fridays. So it always takes a long time.

You baby-cookin' mamas... keep up the good work!

Anne Marie - I am glad it is all set for your surgery. Keep thinking about how much better you are going to feel!

Earl is supposed to come on shore at Hatteras some time tonight. I have quite a few friends who are there on vacation or live on the Outer Banks and they have all been told to evacuate. I haven't seen the forecast since early this afternoon, but I think we are not supposed to get much out of it. I hope it is the same for everyone else!

Kristine good luck tomorrow. It will be interesting to see which one of you go first. I think it will be Kristine as soon as the cerclage is out. Most of my patients who have had them removed deliver either that day or within the next 2 days.

I hope the pin comes out painlessly.:wizard: I've been struggling with losing words for a couple of years now. It seems to be getting worse. It sucks when I can't remember names of customers that I've waited on many times and that is only the tip of the iceburg. I never thought of hormones. I figured it was the start of alheimers

Kristine and Tia you are doing great cooking those little girls :lovestruc Not much longer now :woohoo:

Nick came home with the computer baby or little robot as he refers to him. He's named him Chuckie after the doll that came to life in the horror movie:headache: Apparently it has cried off and on all night. I did give him a break when I got home from work and rocked the baby back to sleep for him. I think he's in for a long night. I must say that I don't find it very realistic and since we care for our children out of love that whole factor is missing too. At least he'll be done with it tomorrow:cool1:

Oddly, Bill is not up to snuff on this weather event.

That's because it is not affecting his hearth, home and family! I am glad he isn't concerned this time.

A little cloudy and muggy here this morning, but it looks like we aren't going to get much out of Mr. Earl. I am hoping the daylight views of OBX show this to be the case, anyway. Let's hope it continues that way as it makes its way up the coastline.

I think the major point of taking Chuckie home was to point out that it can be a royal PITA to take care of a baby. Making the baby might be wonderful, but the consequences of that brief moment are not so easily returned to the school. I have found that this exercise is a great life-lesson teacher.

Good morning. :)

Bernadette and Kristine - I hope your procedures go smoothly and painlessly today.

It was a PITA for all of us. Thankfully Chuckie has returned to school and some other unknowing child can have it for the 3 day weekend

I had a feeling that yours were a lot more involved! :(

Oddly, Bill is not up to snuff on this weather event.

Too much distraction this time around, but didn't you also have your own storms yesterday?

Only for one night? At least it's a short assignment. Though our egg babies were silent and didn't require being up at night, we had to carry them around for a week.

Poor kid! Glad you got it out of the way during the week.

So we are having rain today. it has cooled us off some. Had been hitting 100+ temps.

Saw my OB today, I dont like their scale. it said I weighed 4 more lbs then my scale. LOL. At least I gained weight. I am at according to their scale 11lbs. mine 7lbs. I see her in 3 weeks, then 2 weeks then we will start every week. She will start doing the cervical exams when I see her in 3 weeks. I started effacing at 28 weeks with Olivia and sometime between then and 31 weeks I started dilating. So she wants to watch for PTL. I will do my Glucose screen test at 26 weeks. The girls looked good on their sono. I feel Baby "B" Sabrina kick more then I do Baby "A" Julia. I mentioned it to my OB and she said it was probably her position and she does not have as much room. They are laying on top of each other.

Hope things went easily/painlessly for you today!

I thought alheimers was when you didn't know what the word meant. I've been very frustrated the past couple of weeks. Work gets crazy busy in the next few weeks so I hope I get some of it back soon.

We've been in the 90's. It poured just before I went to the doctor but stopped before I had to go out in it. But it was even more humid.

So the pin is out!!!:cool1: I have my sneakers on. It was tough getting my foot in it because the foot is stiff. I may switch to my crocs. Hurts a bit but I'm sure it will continue to improve. Doctor found a stitch too so it was nice to get that out. DH is coming to get me soon. I'm hoping we will go out to dinner to celebrate!

Bernadette,
Yay for having the pin out!!! Enjoy dinner!

Jennifer,
Good news!

Kristine,
Hope everything went well today.
