Hanging out at home for the week-end with Chuck. We are having meatloaf for dinner. We made bruschetta and dipping oils earlier. Yummy.

My foot has been sore this weekend which has put me in a funk. I honestly don't know if it is any worse or if I'm just done with it and don't want it to hurt at all. It seems like most of the pain is surface wound pain not joint pain. I was really hoping the surface pain would go away when the pin came out. I took a photo of it tonight so I can be sure the redness doesn't spread any. I'm trying to tell myself that when I hurt my foot in May it took 7-8 weeks to feel better so when I think about what the doctor did to my foot I should expect to be 100% at 5 weeks. It is hard to listen to reason.

My niece stopped by with her 7 yo and 3 month old baby to see us once again before she left to fly home. I got to hold the baby while she ate lunch. Such a cutie!

The boards were down this AM. We stacked wood for 3 hours this morning then had a bbq. Chris and I took a nap then I went shopping. Came home, made dinner then headed outside. We had a campfire and my parents and nephew joined us. The five of us are now camping out in the backyard. We want to try out the new camper. It seems wonderful so far

Hoping for a very restful Labor Day around here though the 9 children running around may affect that. Luckily, I'm not really in charge of any of them - well, Terra, but she's easy peasy. We may head to Chick Fil A later, but other than that a big bunch of nothing - ahhhh.....

Camping out was fun last night. The beds seemed comfortable and we all slept well. I even managed to get back out there and get it all put back together. Chris' upholstery is all done so I can now reclaim my living room It came out pretty good considering I've never tackled upholstery before. He's very happy with it and that is what really matters. I even made dinner before sinking into my chair for the first time all weekend. I got a ton done even if our house doesn't look like it. Hopefully I'll make progress on that tomorrow.

Happy unofficial end of summer.

We spent the afternoon at the pool today. The weather was great and there were a lot of people, so while the kids swam and played the adults got to visit.

I just tucked the kids in bed and hopefully they will fall asleep soon. They're very excited for school tomorrow. I told Alyssa I was going to dance through the house after I drop her at school, just like the teachers dance in the hallways on the last day of school. A bunch of moms are meeting downtown for breakfast after drop-off. Should be fun!

ugg. I spent 4 hrs at the ER with Olivia. She woke up this morning telling me she had a sore throat. Throat looked fine and no temp. About an hour after that she told me her head hurt and the light from the computer was hurting her eyes. Then about an hour after that she had a mild temp of 99.7. she fell back to sleep. She was restless so I reached over to rub her head and she felt hot. SO I did her temp under her arm, it was 100.3. I called the after hrs clinic which was full. They said to take her to the Minor Emergency clinic. Well my insurance will not pay for that, so the ER we went. They swabed her for Flu and Strep and they were negative. The Urine specimen was negative as well. She has thrown up 3 times, has hardly drank anything has not eaten anything. She still says her Head hurts and her tummy hurts. So Jeff will stay home with her tomorrow and I will stay home on wed if she has a fever again.

Thanks Elizabeth--I am SO nervous now! I went to the Phillies game tonight to keep my mind off of it but now that i am home, the nerves are back ---but I am SO excited too!!!

So I got up around 1am to go potty, and checked on Olivia she felt hot so I took her temp as she was half way awake. it was 100.4. I will have Jeff check it when he gets up. Poor guy did not get home from work until 4:50 this morning. Their store is being walked today by a district manager.
