DDA Chapter 26

Good Morning DDA!!!

Little rain here so the temp is a little cooler at 74.

It's cooler here today too. I don't have to work tonight either Hopefully I can get a bunch of my little projects finished today.

Kristine how are you and Jenna hanging in there?

Morning, all. It's a cool 83 degrees here today. Not too bad, considering yesterday was about 15 degrees hotter. I'll enjoy it!

My day is up in the air! Alan may get sent to my old home town to cover a story. If that is the case, I may tag along. Katie could stay with the kids and I would get a day with Alan, plus get to see my dad and my brother, his wife and baby who are visiting dad! If Alan doesn't get sent to do the story, he'll be allowed to work from the house, so either way, I win! If we end up going to the story, it will be a long day, as it's 3 and a half hours there, do the story for about 4 hours, and then drive home. Still, it would be fun! Don't get to do stuff like that very often!

Jennifer - just wait until the babies get a little bit bigger, and you can start watching your stomach move. It was really entertaining!

Elin - Have a great time in Boston! I really want to visit there someday!

Bernadette - stay off that foot! Stop reading those blogs! Just take care of you! Ok?

Theresa - I hope your ankle starts feeling better again, soon. Do you think you've just been on it too much? Sorry about the marching band. Really, though, the same thing goes on here. The band is practicing for a couple of hours every day in the high school parking lot. They are each required to bring at least a gallon of water, though, and the director stops them every half hour for a rest/water break. I hope that things get friendlier for Abi. Tell her to hang in there. Hopefully, once school starts, things will settle down, and people will realize how wonderful she is!

Deb - Congrats on getting so much done since you've been back! Good luck with the job hunting!

Tammi - How's your dad?

Well Shoot! Alan just got word that he's not going to cover the story, and they're not going to let him stay home today. He's got to go north to cover something else. Oh well. Guess the kids and I will stay home!

I'm hanging in there. I go for a biophysical profile as well as a cervical check today. I will be happy when that's over. I can't help but be nervous.

Easier said than done on staying off the internet. I will say that at least the blogs did scare me into staying off my foot as much as reasonably possible this week. When I go to get the stitches out tomorrow he will take an xray to see how it is healing. That will dictate if I can go back to work Monday. I am determined to follow the doctor's instructions. I don't want to delay this healing as I still want to do the other foot before my trip next May. It is hard to stay off of it when it hurts less than it did May but I know that I have to stay off of it so its heals and doesn't end up hurting more.

I cannot imagine how anxious you must feel. It is so great that Jenna has been able to stay put for so long. Hope things go well today!

Just got home from the dentist, had 2 cavities fixed. I will have to go back after the babies are born for a root canal on one tooth and another tooth removed

I think I've got my resume done. I'll have Chris proof read it when he gets home, but at least all the info is there and in a format that is easy to read

Congrats on getting that done. That is a huge accomplishment!




DH just called. The doctor said she heard a heart murmur on Emma so she needs and EKG and she was also worried about Emma's spine so she needs and xray. He's on his way to the hospital now. Oh and her pee sample was bad too. Poor kid. At least both of those procedures are pretty simple and no needles and hopefully the doctor is just being super catious and it is all nothing. Lizzy has an appointment tomorrow so we'll bring in a new sample then.

Jennifer-I had dental problems when I was pregnant too. The dentist tried to say it was because I wasn't being as good about brushing because I was always feeling lousy but I still think it was something about being pregnant that led to my issues.

I had a bad experience in high school with a dentist-it wasn't a procedure-it was the receptionist who tried to belittle me because my Mom owed them some money. She was so nasty to me. I had walked myself there from school so I didn't have enough money to pay the bill. I never went back there. I ended up loosing a molar in college because I waited so long to see someone. I really liked this guy but then he retired. I have to say I really love the guy we all go to now. He LOVES what he does!
