Becky - You are in my prayers for a safe surgery and a quick recovery! Please keep us updated.

Another fairly quiet day here! I like those. I have to pay Katie's school fees today, sign the kids up for school lunch, and take Katie to a violin lesson. Other than that, nothing much on tap.

I do have laundry to do, but that's one of those neverending jobs, right?

I hope you all have a wonderful day today!

Good morning!
I am packed and ready--We are leaving for dallas shortly...Going to a rangers/yankees game tonight..then cowboys tomorrow.
I cant believe the weather--it said 103 today and 105 tomorrow!!!

Have fun. The heat index seems to be much higher across the entire US this year. We've certainly had more hot weather here in Vermont and Florida was much hotter than usual for our summer trip. Global warming I guess. It is causing significant changes worldwide. For example there are now Great White Sharks (at least 7) off the coast of the Cape in Mass. That is unheard of in our normall cool waters, but with temps being what they have been even the ocean in warming up here.

My to do list just keeps growing. Work can really put a damper on fun. I still have a few more suitcases to empty and put away. I need to create a couple of photobooks before Walgreens forgets that they are buying them for destroying 2 rolls of film. I need to get my resume done. I bought a program and spent 2 hours yesterday inputting info, only to have the program unexpectedly shut down before saving :headache: There is a job that I'm interested in and the deadline for applying is Friday. I would also like to do some sort of trip report. Today I've got to run to the DMV to get the learners permit book for Nick. Hard to believe that he can get his learners permit in 7 weeks.

Oh yeah, my car needs to be vacuumed out after the trip :sad2: I guess I'd better get moving.

Wow, where is everyone? I ran out and got the drivers manual for Nick and I've put away a bunch of stuff from the trip. Still more to go, but at least I've made a dent.

Becky - I'm glad they got you scheduled quickly! Our prayers are continuing for you!

Looks like everyone's getting busy as the summer starts to wind down. Good luck with all of those to do lists!

I've got both babies back everyday as of today. The little one has become a good sleeper over the last two weeks so that's a big help. The older one is starting to calm a little as well - just hoping that continues with the return of the little one. Even better it looks like the older one's mom's job might go permanent soon!

Becky boo that you have to have surgery, but yeah that it is scheduled soon and will hopefully be only a little invasive.

One more empty bag :cool1: Of course I need to be at work at 4 today so that will put a dent in my progress:rolleyes:

I'm at home today with a migraine, it started yesterday at work around 1pm it had eased some by 10 last night when I went to bed. But when I got up at 1:45 to go potty it was back and worse so I called in. I finally took some Darvocet at 830 this morning. I try not to take it unless absolutely necessary.

I am getting ready to leave for Boston tomorrow morning. I will have my laptop with me and should be able to check in.

Becky-so glad that they have scheduled your surgery so quickly. Hopefully it is something benign and you can get back to your usual go-go-go.

I am not thrilled that the band was practicing at the hottest part of the day on the field:headache: Why is it that football players have mandates in place for such hot times but not so marching bands? We were there at least 45 minutes and not once did I hear a water break being called.

Abi has been given the equivalent of first chair music ( I am thinking that the director was doing this  when I told him how long Abi had been playing as the 2 others are new to the baritone). She is not happy with the heaviness of the marching baritone...but she will survive and she at least knows one other person's name...not a very friendly band.:sad2:

Sorry to hear they weren't friendly. Maybe they were all too hot to be friendly. Crazy no water breaks.

How's your foot feeling today? Mine is a bit painful but I'm still more anxious than in pain. I shouldn't have filled my time reading bunion surgery recovery blogs. Several did too much too quick and ended up with long recoveries.

Elin-safe travels to Boston. It is a bit cooler here for a few days-should be nice for you-well for Bob if you're in meetings all day.

I have been going back to wearing my brace at least some of the day because my ankle hurts.

Thanks, Bernadette! We were discussing the fact that it ought to be about 20 degrees cooler there than here in VA this week. :yay:

Becky, I sorry to hear that you need surgery. Do they know what the mass is? :wizard: Hopefully it is quick and painless.

Ovarian Cyst

Thank you everyone for all of the good wishes.

Theresa- Hope your foot stops hurting.

Bernadette- I hope your foot continues to heal.

Good luck Becky! I hope it's a quick and smooth procedure for you

Good morning. :)

Safe travels today, Elin. Enjoy your visit with Kathryn.

Theresa - I hope Abi adjusts quickly and meets some nice people. When does Cassidy start classes?
