DDA Chapter 26

Good afternoon, DDA!

I am sick (laryngitis and a cold) and cranky. Bah, humbug. I think part of it is that 18 years ago today my Dad died.

Wow... that was uncharacterisitcally moody for me. But, it is exactly how I feel. I cannot wait to get away 2 weeks from today.

You have every right to be moody. Frankly your day sucks

I was going to take out the presents for the kids & start wrapping & making sure things were even but poor Sophie is home & has been vomiting. She is missing a class trip & a friends birthday party tonight..she is so bummed & she looks so sick.

I hope she feels better soon. You need to get out shopping. Online shopping has been my friend this year

I had a pretty good day overall. I checked the NCL site as I was walking out of the house this morning and realized that they finally had opened up 2012 cruise bookings (I've been checking 4 times a day since October). I ended up rushing to work to make the call. While there were not any early booking fares to be had for the summer months, we were able to book 3 inside staterooms together. So the 11 of us are booked for an August 4 2012 seven night hawaiian cruise. It is going to kill me to wait until 7 months out to try to book some nights at the Hawaiian DVC resort At least I've got plenty of time to drive everyone crazy with research between now and then. We did have a bit of a scare locally today. A junior high girl escaped being abducted by a masked man before school this morning. It was a neighboring school, but it had me very worried about the boys walking home from the bus stop. They are fine and all local police stations are searching for the man.

Poor Sophie. It stinks being sick but to miss out on a school trip and party really stinks. Hope she's feeling better already and keeps it to herself!

Doctor's appointment went well. My foot was less swolen than last week. She took the stitches out-they were more than ready and some of them hurt a bit coming out. She wrapped my foot differently than my doctor does. She just put about a 3" wide fabric tape round the middle of my foot rather than a bandage wrapped all around the foot and ankle. I like not having it around the ankle but I'm not sure this will stay on/in place for 9 days. My foot is still very itchy.

I drove myself today. It felt good to be out and about on my own!

Tomorrow morning I go to get my root canal finished.

Today was an okay day--we got an agenda for a meeting tomorrow--a couple things that dont look too positive, but im trying not to worry about it until I know if theres something to worry about!

Anne Marie - thanks for sharing the photos. Looks like a fun time! What kind of camera do you have? You got some great pictures of the castle and Osborne Lights.

It was alot of fun! I have a point and shoot digital. Canon Powershot 3100. It was about $80 at walmart. I was happy with the night shots too. It also has a nice battery life.
