Good morning. :)

Robyn - good for you going back to college! I'm sure you will do fine. Plus it's a great example to set for your girls.

Bernadette - good luck with the surgery.

Theresa - :wizard: for more hours.

Debbie - I hope you get the insurance straightened out and that you feel better soon.

Deb - I haven't yet met a crook that isn't dumb.

Yesterday the kids and I spent all day shopping. Well, aside from the 2 hours we spend waiting for the girls to met Emily Osment. For those of you who don't know, she is Lilly, Hannah Montana's BFF. She is releasing her own CD and stopped at our mall to do a promotion for it, sign autographs and have pictures taken. So Alyssa met up with some girls from school and they all hung out in line together. I'd like to know how our little town got put on her promotional tour schedule. I'm sure there is some marketing strategy, but I don't get it. I had a headache by the time we left, after listening to all the tweens screaming over her.

Today is Nicholas' first time being an Altar server at church. He went through the training in October. I hope he remembers what to do, doesn't drop anything and doesn't trip over his robe. Needless to say, he is nervous.

After Mass he has his football party, then Alyssa has Nutcracker rehearsal. While she is there Nicholas and I are going to go see HP. I bought our tickets online so I hope it isn't too crazy at the theater.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Tammi I hope that Nicholas did well today :wizard: I'm sure Alyssa was totally excited to meet Lily yesterday. Heck I would have been too:goodvibes

I don't think my days are ever going to slow down. It was another busy weekend. I finished my outside decorations, but I must admit that I'm doing a lot less this year. I'm only using one of my inflatables (Mickey of course). I'm also not decorating Chris' shop at all. Otherwise I did as much, maybe even a bit more. It looks nice and I'm hoping that less is more in this case. I've also got most of my inside decorations up. I think I might still have a tote or two left downstairs, but not too much. I'm thinking I'm not putting up my Christmas Village this year. I didn't last year either, but it takes forever to put up and take down and I just can't justify the time this year.

I had a really good night at work last night. It was the first wait shift I've taken in 3 weeks. Now I remember why I can't afford to give it up. I made in one 5 hour shift what I do in a day and a half at my new job. I don't want to get burnt out though so I'll probably shoot for a couple of wait shifts a month in addition to my weekly 2 bar shifts. We've accrued some debt with all my home improvement projects so I'll keep both jobs until we dig out.

Deb-was chris going crazy with that game today? I was watching it and was thinking about you guys!

He was. He was trying to talk football with me and I don't "do" football. He then made a comment that "Jen would understand" :rotfl::rotfl:

Yep Tammi, that must have been the same day we saw her, we don't get the Travel Channel so we had no idea who she was. I thought the brunette was the celebrity.

How did Nicholas do yesterday?

He did great! I could see the look of sheer terror on his face when he got up on the altar, turned and saw the entire congregation staring at him. But about halfway through Mass he settled down and knew exactly what he was supposed to do. He will be signed up for one Sunday a month, but he's already told me that if they need substitutes, he wants to fill in!

We LOVED Deathly Hallows, but what a cliffhanger. I might need to read the book. I don't want to wait until July to find out how it ends!

I would love to see HP, but think I would miss too much with having to run to the potty a lot.

You're probably right. I saw one of the Lord of the Rings movies when I was pregnant with the twins, and it was a very painful experience. I didn't want to leave to go to the bathroom, but being 6 months pregnant with twins, I was having to leave almost every 20-30 minutes. I really didn't understand the movie, and had to watch it again on DVD after the girls were born.

On the other hand, I don't think I would want to wait to see the HP movie! Tough decision!

Morning all! This is going to be a crazy couple of days! At Alan's work one photographer quit and another got hurt, so the remaining photogs are having to scramble to fill in. Alan is working 15 to 20 hour days today and tomorrow, which means I'm the one that has to get everything ready to go to dad's on Wednesday.

Today, I need to run all my errands and do the shopping that still needs to be done (I've got to get Christmas presents for my dad and a nephew, still). Then, I've got to make sure the kids get homework done, make a couple of pies (family Pie Night tomorrow night), do laundry and start packing. Tuesday will be clean the car, pack the suitcases, pack the car, gas up the car and clean the house day. I've also got to squeeze in making another couple of pies somewhere in there.

So, if I'm not on much, please know why! I'm thinking about all of you, and offering prayers of Thanksgiving for you all! Have a wonderful holiday!

After much discussion and talking to AirTran, we have decided to go to WDW as planned next month. They charge a $75 cancellation fee for each ticket and our tickets were only $81 each way. We would end up losing almost all the money already invested in our tickets. So, we decided to keep the trip, but modify it a bit. We are going to go back to our beloved French Quarter for the first 3 nights and then will mover over to AKL CL for Christmas night. That way we can still do the Sunrise Safari we have booked and spend a little time being pampered. ;) We don't leave until 9:00 PM on the 26th so we will have use of the CL Lounge for two full days and can spend lots of time relaxing there.

All four of us had input in the changes and everyone seems happy with the decisions. Now I have to decide which ADRs need to be canceled and what else we will be doing for meals for those times.

Thanks for all the continued good thoughts, everyone. They are much appreciated. :grouphug:

Sounds like a good compromise and still lots of fun. I'm sure you all will have a much-needed, relaxing time together. :grouphug:

Im glad you are still going!

I agree with Tia, Elin! Sounds like a good time will be had in spite of circumstances. I have been so afraid that you would cancel the trip. Go, rejuvenate your spirits, and then come home and tackle the problems.

Somehow I knew that you all would understand our decision to go! Since I took my boss to WDW last spring, she was the first one to jump in and say, "You have to go anyway!" She gets it too! :goodvibes

good morning!
I have been having such issues with my computer and have been fighting with HP to get them fixed...i finally talked to someone last night that could help me...im tired of spending over an hour on the phone each night!

Morning, all! We have been hit with a blizzard warning today. Yikes!!! It's not supposed to hit until this afternoon, so I'm going to try to get all my errands done this morning. Wish me luck!!!

Tonight is pie night #1, at my SIL's house. So far I've made a derby pie, french coconut, s'more pie, and today I've got to make a pecan pie, and some kind of pumpkin pie. Then, I've got to split them up between pie night #1 and pie night #2 at my dad's house tomorrow night. I decided to make them all before we leave, since I'm not entirely sure how long it's going to take us to reach dad's house tomorrow. The storm is supposed to continue all night tonight, and most of the day tomorrow.

Please keep us in your prayers as we venture out and about today and tomorrow!
