Do you want a hotel near the Kennedy Space center or near Disney World?

I am Becky, I am 28 live in PA and am trying to move back to FL. I work for the Girl Scouts and spend way too much driving in my car.

I had today off from work as I needed to take my Birthday day off yet before the end of June.

I hope you are all doing well.

I want to move back to hawaii..

I surfed this board.. and found the priceline thread. so I bid..

i got the Radisson Hotel Orlando - Lake Buena Vista
for 55$ ended up being 69 including taxes.. not too bad.. should have done that with the other days we were looking for.. oh well whats done is done.

good morning..

I am so glad for this site..

My whole family, other than my 3 year old that is just as excited as I am, thinks I am nuts for being so disney crazed.. I have books, dvds, maps, shirts, I look for stuff every time I go into the store for the trip.. dumped crazy money into the van all so that we could take it to disney..

But when I come here.. I am normal.. hats off to all you :rotfl:

now for some :surfweb:
:lovestruc :goodvibes

It is a very supportive group. We can all be nuts together!!! Congrats on the Nursing Degree!

Hi all! We are back from camp and I survived WITH a decent night's sleep to boot. Check in day was killer hot and we were a hot mess by the time it was over. We got to the pool to swim and it started thundering before we could even change. Luckily, we were in one of the lodges with showers so I was able to cool down before bed. Plus, a storm front moved through during dinner and we ended up with a decently cool night. All in all it was a lot of fun and Terra had a great time!

One last thank you to you all for your prayers for Erin. They started the Pitocin on Sunday morning after she'd been admitted. Despite warnings that it could take as much as two days, she delivered around 2pm on Sunday afternoon. They took her into surgery for the D&C right after and she was released today. I'm just so thankful that the process was fairly quick as I know the longer the delivery took the worse it would have been for her. The baby was a boy and they named him Gabriel. They did get to spend some time with him after the birth which I think has helped her some. Kristi saw them and Gabriel later in the evening and said that it was just so sad. I got that text while we were playing games with the kids and had to leave the group for a little bit and just cry. I just can't even imagine.

Erin was released this afternoon and is home now. She's feeling okay physically, almost more pain in her throat from the intubation tube than anything else, but is obviously still struggling emotionally. Mom and I went up tonight to take Kaylin home and visit a little while. She showed us the "In Memory of" certificate that the hospital made for them to have and it had his tiny little foot prints on there. They were no bigger than my pinkie fingernail. He was 3.5 inches and 5 ounces. They will do a memorial service as much to help the family process and heal as them, but will wait to do it until after my dad gets home next week. The hospital also gave them a CD with some pictures on it so that then they can decide if and how they want to use them. I thought that was a nice way to handle it so that each family could do what they were most comfortable with.

Again I thank you all for the prayers. I know that Erin has felt each and every one of them. :grouphug:

Tia - I'm so sorry for what Erin and your family are going through. I can't even imagine the pain.

Tia - I am glad Erin is OK and the healing will begin. This hit me pretty close because a very similar thing happened when I was pregnant with Kristin. My sister was also newly married and pregnant and we had a wonderful time discussing baby things. Shortly after Kristin was born my sister had to deal with exactly the same thing Erin did. Our relationship has never been the same, sadly. And there has never been a mention of that baby boy she carried for 6 months. They never had another child. My heart continues to ache for my sister and BIL.

Good morning. :)

I *think* today is the last day of 100+ temps for us. Tomorrow starts a cool down!

::yes:: Thank goodness! The AC man was out yesterday and our poor 40 year old unit is doing the best it can do. So, late this week or early next week we will be getting a new furnace and AC unit. I am delighted!

I hope you are getting one of the newer energy efficient models. I've heard wonderful things about them. A coworker had to get a new unit and he says his bills are soooo cheap now. Plus they are tax deductible!

My assumption is that it is such. It is a Trane...

I would love to have cheap bills. The past two summers and the cold months of winter we approached $300 a month! And our house is not that big. :faint:

I'm so excited today-- I get my invisilign braces off!! I got them almost five months ago and can't believe the difference they have made... Somehow my timing wasgreat and I got them when insurance paid for the entire amount and that apparently just changed ..whew!

Elin a new furnace and AC sounds wonderful. You'll be prepared for any weather.

Jen congrats on getting the braces off. Do you need retainers now?

It's a sunny day here so far. I plan to take the boys to my parents pool for a while before I have to be at work tonight. I'm picking up some extra shifts since vacation is only a couple of weeks away.

Is your clan as excited as mine?!?!

I'm trying to get organized as to what all I still need to buy or just remember to take with us. Yesterday I went to the bank and got traveler's checks and made envelopes for payment for each tour we are taking. I also got $50 in ones for tips. All of ship tips are prepaid, so I just need extra for the tours and such. Today I ordered a 4 pack of disposable water cameras on Amazon. They were on $38, including shipping. I think if you buy them in Walmart/CVS they are like $17 each. The Fuji got good ratings so that's what I chose. I figure that will be good for snorkeling, and swimming at the beaches. I just hope they arrive in time. Estimated delivery is July 5-9!

We're all very excited. I'm in packing mode too. I hadn't though of disposable cameras, guess I'd better pick some up. Yesterday cruise critic had a video tour of the ship so I spent an hour "walking" around the ship. It looks so exciting. So much to do I wonder if we'll have enough time.

Good Morning All!!

Got done with VBS on Friday afternoon....we went to Toy Story 3 to celebrate (you all needed to warn me about the end with Andy and his mom:guilty:) Came home from a wonderful week to a horrible, mean letter from my grandma...that woman knows how to be downright ugly. So much so that it will be a while before any of us speak to her. I am sending a letter in response to hers.

Saturday was cleaning day...it's been awhile since I have used Clorox products...burnt nose hairs, ruined clothes...definitely buying different cleaning products. Saturday night my mom and Mark had some friends over...very nice but kind of boring.

Sunday was church and than the realization that until I get stronger and more confident on my ankle I am not going to be able to use the background pool:sad2:(really iffy, skinny stairs) and a conversation with Jim because what Grandma had written Jim had been saying/doing in other ways for years. Mark decided he needed a day off from work AWAY from the house so we went to Salisbury, MD and stayed at a Holiday Inn....

and spent Monday at Assateague Island (http://www.nps.gov/asis/index.htm)... going swimming in the ocean (kind of for me...those undertows kept throwing me...again lack of confidence in my ankle) and seeing beautiful wild horses up close and personal. Relaxing and doing nothing was just what the dr. ordered.

If I could ask a favor from somebody going to Disney soon...I got a Balzak (I think that was how it was spelled) and refills when I was there...I can't find the actual ball now. I would like to get a new one but obviously can't afford to get one in person so if I could ask one of you to look for it for me I would appreciate it.

Thanks, Elin. That's what I'm afraid will happen too, especially since we've always had a somewhat tenuous relationship. Time will tell. I don't know whether Erin will try again or not. They never really planned to have a 2nd to begin with and I know she's hesitant about it mostly because of Brendan's health issues. Whether this situation has changed that desire, I don't know yet. We'll have to see, I guess.

Yeah! Even better that insurance paid it all! Nice timing.

Oh wouldn't that be nice. Between the pool and our old system this past month's bill was almost $350 and that was before the 100s came around. Summer is ugly on that one!

Good Morning All!!

Hi Theresa! I'm so sorry you had to end your week with that letter! What a tough thing to deal with. It sounds like you all had a lovely weekend though (okay, minus the Colrox). ;) The place looks beautiful and I'd love to see wild horses sometime!

I just booked Chris for a skydive in Miami very early the morning that our cruise departs. This is a secret (hopefully I can keep my mouth shut :rolleyes1) It's on his bucket list and since he'll be 40 in November I want to make it happen. Nick would like to go, but you must be at least 18 to go.
