DDA Chapter 25

Good Morning All!!

4th day in and not adjusting too badly....until I can get on my feet (figuratively and literally) we will be living with my mom and Mark.

Yesterday was cut all my hair off day....6 inches in the back not so much in the front and I am on the look out for a brown pair of work shoes that will fit my brace with it....I am thinking it's a lost cause.


Humidity still may be the death of me

I am stuck home waiting for a repairman...needed to fix a gutter & look at our cooling system. I hate waiting for repairmen!!!

Oh & I am catching up on the Housewives of NJ...they are more like the woman I knew on LI than the NY housewives are! (Especially how we Long Islanders say "cawfee" & "Going to waulk the dawg." ) Heehee.

I'm tired of sanding and cleaning and taping. I just want to be done! Sorry, I'm feeling a little whiny, and I'm sure Matthew doesn't want to hear it. Ok, back to work...

We just got back from meeting a friend of mine for awhile. I think it's been over a year, we've had to cancel so many times due to sick kids and husbands. Almost made it home before the skies opened up! Instead I had to carry a sleeping baby in through the pouring rain. Now I'm just enjoying the rumbling thunder and occassional bright flashes.

Crazy Day. I got to work this morning and found out that I was taking the boy on a field trip to a farm. I had no idea and wasn't dress to be walking around a farm. None the less we went. Apparently on past visits he usually didn't make it out of the van or off the driveway and his aide would take him back. Not today. He stayed the entire time and even participated some. He was actually very well behaved today and even quiet during the lock down. That is it for subbing for me this year. I need my days to complete projects as my nights are full.

At 5:30 Colby has his last Lacrosse game and then I'm off to work.

My brother's family put 17 eggs in an incubator. 4 have hatched in the last 16 hours. The younger kids are mesmorized. It was pretty cool seeing the first one break free. His family also got 4 piglets on Sunday. The kids all thought those were cool until the chicks started hatching and then the pigs were forgotten I have no idea what they are going to do with so many chickens And they used to think we were nuts for having 2 dogs and a cat. Now they are the crazy farmers next door

Terra would be in heaven!!! She keeps asking when we can get "our farm" so she can have this animal and that animal and this one and that one....

By farm, she means the bigger piece of property in southern Vermont or New Hampshire that we ultimately would like to get.

I actually did say that I'd look into backyard chickens once we had a house. I knwo there are more people around her that have them (though I don't know any personally), but am not promising anything. It will depend on where and what we end up with. Once we get the "lifelong" house, then we can talk chickens, horse and goats (or whatever else is on her list).

Which reminds me....who wants to go out with me for my last birthday before I hit the 40's??? I thought I would try and do something fun for my birthday weekend July 10th and 11th?

Okay, not that sounds like a good idea! I can live with some of the more plain or abstract ones. Not a fan, but they aren't that bad. These eye ones are freaking me out.

We will be heading to Baltimore on the 10th to spend the night before flying out on the 11th!
