I have two relatives that are teasing me telling me that I have to find them a man. I so would love to have them be as happy as I am in my marriage. I realize how truly lucky I am in the wonderful husband that I have. I know at least one of you found love through an online service. Do any of you have advice on which sites are the better ones? I'm sure it's not easy for a 40 or 50 something woman to find love.

No worries about the birthday thread. For thoes on facebook if you put your birthday in your profile, facebook will send out reminders that a friend(s) has a birthday comming up, and I will post my wishes there. :goodvibes

Good to hear from you Vicki.

Sorry I can't help with the online date, but here is some pixiedust: for your family members.

I went to a funeral this morning for a wonderful 90 year old woman that I used to work for. It was the first funeral I've been to since my brother's. It really is still so raw.:sad1::sad1::sad1:

It is a gloomy, rainy, cold, raw day here. At least my allergies are a bit better in this weather. I should be doing housework but can't find the motivation.

The kids are cleaning up/sorting through some things but that also includes lots of bickering.

We have spent the day cleaning out the garage. When we moved we left alot of boxes (that were in my attic) in the garage...It's mostly old pictures, letters, & some junk that we just can't throw out since its sentimental. We did manage to get rid of a few boxes of stuff that we can live without. :thumbsup2 Someday I hope to get my car in there!

You could scan all of the important sentimental things and then keep them in an electronic format. You could take pictures of the important objects and then get rid of them. You could then make the electronic scans into a book or a few books.

Theresa- Sending tons of hugs and good thoughts to you and your family. I hope a job quickly comes your way, as well as a place to live. :wizard::grouphug:

20 years later, my mom still has that wish. We just got a new garage door and opener on Thursday. Mom and I are estimating that the opener broke at least 15 years ago, if not closer to 20. Now all of a sudden DAD wants to park her car in the garage. Umm, hi, I think we've been talking about that for awhile. Just have to get a little more junk out and there's finally room! (Now we just need Dad to be out of town for a day or two around trash day so that we can get rid of the stuff he thinks we need to keep and we'll be good!)

Well, since the Cardinals and the Mets finally decided to let the game end (20 innings later), I am going to head to bed at last! It's been a long day, but a nice one all the same.

We picked up personal care items this morning for Girl Scouts. Our entire council (one of the largest in the nation) does a personal care items drive for local food pantries. Apparently, food stamps and the like can't be used for things like soap, toothpaste, etc, but those items only comprise about 1% of food pantry donations. Our drive supplies area food pantries with over 99% of their personal items. My two troops collected over 450 items from our assigned neighborhoods!

After that, I got some sorting and cleaning done in the dining room/Scout storage area. Then Terra and I went to the park to join Kristi and the kids. They then came over for homemade pizza and we sat down to "quickly" watch the end of the ballgame. 4 hours later...

Have a good night and a happy Sunday everyone!

I go to WDW this week!!

Good morning, DDA! A lovely quiet morning here. I would have preferred not to be up at 7am, but my body had other ideas. It did give me a whole hour before ever hearing another sound in the house. Plus, it's week two of Phil's theory that I should have Sunday mornings to myself! Just waiting for them to get up and then deciding what I'm going to go do. Since no other kids are expected until midafternoon, I may try to sneak in a movie. Otherwise, maybe just breakfast and a book or coffee and the bookstore or....
