I am quivering,crying mess of a human right now....

seems Jim called the wrong number...or didn't call at all and I got a personal visit this morning from a gentleman telling me that they have started the eviction process. I have nowhere to go, no money to go anywhere, no job, no nothing.

I am hoping I can get things together so that I can get us out by next Thursday...than at least they will give us a little bit of relocation money.

The good news is that I can walk on my ankle.

I'm so sorry, Theresa!!! We'll be praying our hearts out that something comes up for you and that everything works out the best they can. I so wish there was something we could do to help!

It was great! The baby was in a wonderful mood all day (a nice change from the sometimes collicky days), the weather was gorgeous for Terra's soccer, we got Chinese for lunch and the baby's mom was home from work early so the rest of the day is ours!

Even better, I think we've made a tentative plan for Phil, Terra and I to go to Branson for my birthday weekend. We should be able to get Mom and Dad's condo for the weekend for free, Terra and I are getting season passes to Silver Dollar City anyway and we can eat part of our meals at the condo or the really cheap and yummy breakfast place. Some gas money and a little food will be the only cost and my birthday money from Granny will cover most of that! Phil won't go to Silver Dollar City with us, probably, but that gives him some time to relax away from work as well, plus we can all hang out at night, go mini golfing, etc.

I was wondering where things stood since you mentioned several weeks ago that it was going up for auction Is there a facility to assist homeless families? We have a beautiful one in our community. Check out local Listen centers or other centers that assist the community. I hope you can find some place to go temporarily

I just noticed this, but what happened to our birthday thread? If the new designers wanted a birthday thread that's fine, but couldn't they add to ours? Or if they wanted their own, did they need to have our birthday thread deleted? After all, we are the founding DDA members, and we've just been erased.

Hi - you may not remember me, but I am also one of the founding members of the DDA. I was here before we had our own board and when Baloo was our moderator. I am still trying to emulate some of the DISigns that were done back then.
No one had posted on the old birthday thread for a very long time. As you may have noticied there are very few of the original members of the DDA around so the thread was not very up to date. There was no intent to erase anyone and I am sorry you took it that way. Once I became moderator I posted quite a few emails asking about the old stickys, including the birthday thread and who wanted to be responsible for it and who wanted to be listed. I am sorry you missed them. Both Wendypooh and I have responded to the posting on the birthday thread. We would welcome your additions to the listing. In addition, there is a link to the old birthday thread (it wasn't erased). Hope this helps. In the future, if you have any concerns, don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks, Penny

I know that the Boards in general are going through lots of changes right now. They are putting time limits on how long you can keep a dining trip report open before it is locked, stuff like that. I bet a moderator cleaned house and deleted any threads that appeared to be "unused."

I know wendypooh and she is a very nice person. In fact, she came over to this Board because I told her about it. She has posted a couple of times on the DDA thread but cannot keep up with us!

If she started the new thread for DDA and DISigner birthdays it will be fine. I honestly do not believe the DISigners had any ulterior motive in setting up the new birthday thread. just my opinion, though...

Thanks so much. You are correct, we had no ulterior motive except to clean it up a littel. Again, PLEASE add your birthdays to the list. Also, you are correct about keeping up with you on this thread. I have tried to jump in a few times, but you are all way to fast for me. .

Thanks for the explanation, Penny. For some reason, I never received any emails that were sent out. And yes, I do remember way back when, when we didn't even have our own board! Most of the original designers have quit designing and are now just part of our chat thread!

Only the person that created the thread can keep it updated so I can understand why a new one had to be created. I was also a little sad when they removed ours and added the other but I understand why it would need to happen. As long as they leave our thread alone and let us stay in our little corner of the world, I'll be happy.
