I survived the Sonata/Sonatina Festival yesterday! :yay: I was at the University from 7 a.m. till 6 p.m. But I came home to dinner and a glass of wine, a rousing game of Tetris with Kristin and then bedtime at 10:00. I slept clear through till 6:15 this morning, so I must have been tired. It is up to 50 here already and it promises to be a beautiful day with highs in the lower 60s. I hope I get outside to enjoy it!

Have great days everyone!

Amy - she did awesome! I especially liked watching her taking everything in when she wasn't singing!

Hi all. I just got back into town. Bob and I took the weekend and went skiing at Snowshoe Mtn. We had a really nice time, the weather was sunny, not too hot and not too cold. There were big crowds though. 10-15 minute lift line waits. They need a FP machine. It was nice to get away for a few days though.

Theresa - I'm sorry you are feeling so poorly.

The July BBQ sounds like a fun time, unfortunately we leave on the 20th. We get in on the 18th, and I just plan on relaxing, although I do want to get over to MK to see the Electric Light Parade.

Fly-by post to share a proud Mommy moment at church this morning! :goodvibes

Maybe we can catch up at a park?

Amy - Alyssa is just too sweet. She did a beautiful job.

Tammy - Sounds like a nice getaway! Glad you had a great time.

Elin - Glad you survived your day.

July folks - I'm totally jealous of your BBQ plans! Wish we could sneak out and join you.

We finished up Terra's party a little bit ago and it went really well. Since we had such nice weather Terra and I strung yarn paths all over the front yard for a treasure hunt. It was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed it. The also played flamingo ring toss, pinata and pin the beak on the flamingo. Instead of gifts, Terra had asked everyone to bring things for the Ronald McDonald House. She collected a lot of great stuff!! We may try to take it over before going to the zoo tomorrow, but it may have to wait since she also has a doctor's appointment tomorrow. She was really excited about all of the donations everyone brought. It was cute though as she was quite concerned after the party about the couple of small gifts people brought for her too. I had to assure her that it was okay and they just wanted to do something special for her too.

Kristi's reduced (not by her choice) hours start tomorrow so it's just Terra and I. With a high of 60 forecasted we are off to the zoo!!! A bit of fun, some out-of-doors, and none (hopefully) of the crowds that they had this weekend, I'm sure.

Just a few more days! Are you ready?

Sounds fun! I'm sure you'll have a great time at the zoo too!

Tammi-I finally got a package in the mail to you Friday! Sorry it took so long.

I've been looking at July-have to get the most value out of those APs that expire 7/29. DH says he has a drs appointment on 7/28 that he doesn't want to change-just a check up. I wouldn't want to go until 7/18 for value season and would ideally like to stay for more than 7 nights. If we went 7/18 to 7/27 airfare is just so expensive-well under $300 but I'm used to under $200. I should just book it as I know I probably will.:rolleyes1

Lizzy & I sold Girl Scout cookies at a booth sale yesterday. I had a chance to talk to her leader for the first time in a while. She's going to WDW in April so I asked her if she had found a Give a Day opportunity. She did the same one Joe & I are doing. She & her Mom dropped off the stuff. She was so impressed with the organization that she is going to have the girls in the troop make blankets to donate to them. I think I will sign DH & my girls up for a day with the organization to help sort the donated items. I think it would great to have the fast passes in July!

Amy--She looked so cute! what a great job

Tammi-Glad you and Bob had a nice weekend!

Bernadette I hope you can join us in July :thumbsup2 You know that you want too.

Tia the party sounds like a huge success. Tell Terra that I'm very proud of her for donating to the Ronald McDonald House.

We worked most of the day around the house. I cleaned out cupboards in the laundry room in addition to all the regular stuff. I love the way a clean house feels, I just wish it would stay this way.

Jen don't you have an AP that needs some use in July :rolleyes1

Bernadette, Hunter is excited that he may get to see Lizzy again.

Anne Marie, I'm sure the kids will love meeting your kids too.

Tammi - I am glad you and Bob got a chance to get away this weekend! :goodvibes

Amy - Alyssa did beautifully!!! You have every right to brag!! Good luck this week and I hope that everything goes well with Sammy!

Tammi - Sounds like you had a great weekend away! You and Bob should come skiing out here! We have some great mountains (so I'm told. I don't ski myself!).

Tia - Sounds like Terra's party was really fun! I'm glad that the weather cooperated. What a wonderful little girl you are raising! You must be so proud of her!

Elin - When do you ever slow down? You always seem to be in the middle of recitals, or sonatina nights, etc. Whew! You make me tired!

Deb - Sounds like you got a lot of stuff accomplished today! You inspire me! I just wish I had your energy.

Our household got hit this weekend with the dreaded "end of winter" cold. It always happens when the weather goes from really cold, to really warm and back to really cold within a matter of a few days. We are all sniffly, sneezy, and coughing. ick! We stayed home from church today, to try to rest and get over this. Alan was hoping that he would have a relatively easy day tomorrow, but just found out that he has to go to the back country and snowshoe 2 hours to a bear den where there are some new cubs that are being tracked. Poor guy. Guess I'll get up early and make him a hearty breakfast before he heads out the door. Of course, if my cold gets worse, he's on his own!

I know! I am spoiled by western skiing. The runs here just don't compare. I've skied at Steamboat, Breckenridge and Sun Valley. Breck is by far my favorite! Never in Utah though. I hear Park City is very nice.

Good morning,

Sophie woke up with a belly ache at 4am & then got sick all over her bed.

So I am keeping her home today.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Glynis and Anne Marie - I hope your sickies get feeling better very soon!

Glynis - I have officially slowed down a bit. :teeth:
