Hi everyone--
Snow is falling here too--supposed to get less than 4 inches--so i hope that is true. The news said we were in for a "significant amount" of snow this weekend though--i am hoping that it is still too far away and that it will change!

Just curious..how much do you help your kids keep their rooms clean? I do not help Daniel at all & his room is spotless, neat & organized. The girls however are not as neat. I straighten Sophie's room occasionally but I try not to do that in Katies room since she is 14 & should be able to do it herself. How much is too much or not enough?

Emma is never in her room but getting her (and her siblings) to clean up the family room is a challenge. Lizzy is my slob. Must be the artist in her???? Joe is pretty good but thanks to you I just told him to go clean his desk.

When they were younger, I would sometimes come in with a big trash bag and just go crazy and that helped motivate them to get in the act to help more.

The big trash big is the best motivation I have for cleaning the family room.

School is already called off tomorrow.

Poor Kevin is out shoveling, but it's still coming down hard. At least we're having yummy coke-marinated steak for dinner. Totally worth it to grill in a blizzard, as long as I don't fall on my butt!

The grandson that microwaved Lightning McQueen. The one who put his little race cars on the stairs, so I could break my neck. The one who put marshmallows on the fireplace screen. The one who turned my waterbed into an indoor pool. That one has now painted his face with nail polish.

And I signed us up for a week of one-on-one time.

What the heck was I thinking???

How old is he? Is he in school? Want to know how I get my kids to behave at WDW durning the school year? I threaten to go back to the room to do homework. And here's the best part-you only have to do it once and that kid won't misbehave again AND they tell their siblings so they behave too.

So we are getting more snow. On top of the close to 4 feet we recently had. Most kids here have been out of school for almost a whole week already. Is winter over yet. I am still trying to get down to FL in early March. I wish I could buy a one way ticket and move down there.

Bernadette- Hope you can recover what was on your hard drive. As long as it is not fried you should be able to remove it and attach it to another computer or use it as an external hard drive with a box.

Steffy- Threaten him that they'll shrink him down and teach him the It's a Small World dance and make him a part of the show if he doesn't behave. Hope you get the bed issue straightened out.

I am totally enjoying the Olympics. It is getting me excited for my potential trip in 2011 that has me in Vancouver.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT SCHOOL IS CLOSED AGAIN! Will they ever go back? Ok, so yesterday we got some flurries, that changed to rain. NO accumulation. What's wrong with a 2 hour delay??? This is really becoming a disservice to my children. 12 days of missed school this year, so far.

Amy I agree about grilling even in all the snow, I did that with the last snow we got and will be doing it again tonight.

Tammi, are your temps just incredibly cold? Our schools say they may close if the city tells them they are pulling too much power in really cold temps. I will say the school doesn't seem to be bothering to heat the auditorium, so maybe that is how they conserve energy! I was up there last night helping with some stuff and my fingers were stiff from the cold!
