Vicki - I'm so sorry about your Uncle

We had some real drama in the neighborhood today, the parade was today and as always some people feel it's necessary to get totally wasted, well a girl "fell" out of a moving vehicle down the street, when my daughter went by on her way here she saw her, she said they had a blanket over her and were holding her head which was bleeding profusely, hopefully she made it.

Heidi - Love your gift from John, I have one just like it from Vicki

Deb - Lucky you, Richie got roses for me from WalMart, and they didn't even make it until today. The card was beautiful though.

We are interested in getting together in July, and would be willing to come to the Treehouse Villas, we arrive on the 21st and have dinner ADR's on the 22nd but Im' sure we can figure something out.

OMG, I need to do a testimonial for Bare Escentials. He thought I was in my 40s! I sure hope that my being an old grandma is not a deal breaker.

Elin, Tammi, how far are you from Potomac Mall? :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

John got me this for Valentines Day.

Very nice

DDA pixie dust is needed! One of my favorite uncles is in the hospital. He has cancer of the esophagus. He was scheduled to start chemo & radiation but other complications have delayed that.

This is the only man in the world that can give me hugs like my dad! Becky always called him "My Bob" when she was little. We never understood her fascination with him but he has always been very special to all of us. She used to tease back & forth with my Aunt Linda about it. When my dad died, he became even more special to all of us.

Please keep him in your prayers. He has been a heavy smoker so I have a feeling that it has finally caught up with him. His loss will hit all of us hard.

:wizard::wizard:I'm so sorry. I hope he gets better:wizard::wizard:

If you can't make it over we can probably meet up at one of the parks. We haven't planned out our days yet.

About 25 miles. Which products are you using?

good morning!
back to work today for me too...its been 5 days off--I am hoping to do my valentine's party today, but it depends on how many kids are there--we were supposed to be off today and its a snow make up day!

Were apparently supposed to get some more snow tonight and then a "substantial amount" next weekend..ugh

Who thought you were in your 40s???? (He is right, but... we want to know!)

We are about 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. When are you coming??

Debbie how cool that 3 of us have that same figure.

I must state though, I always tell John just a card but he always gets me something small. :)

Well I hope thoes of you who have gotten a ton of snow are not supposed to get the 8" that they are calling for this afternoon/evening. Looks like we will be getting some however.

Nope. It's going to miss us this time! :yay:

The path is iffy for us right now. We could be looking at 6"-8" or we could be looking at a dusting. I'll bet you know what the kids have their fingers crossed for. That would make this a 4-day weekend. The past few years we've had this whole week off, but because Labor Day was late, we have only today this year. I guess I wouldn't mind an extra day.

My parents are planning to drive to Florida starting Wednesday (coming through here to drop their dog off). I hope they don't run into trouble on the way down.

Tammi, I'm using the primer, foundation, heart for the eyes, the veil, eye liner and this wonderful night renewal. Woo hoo. If it lasts like Deb's I'm set for the year! Oh and lip gloss.

Okay, onto the treadmill

Schools in session here which I am thankful for as my kids drove me up a wall this weekend.

This was them all weekend.

It started with Friday afternoon when they were all forced into the backseat of Dana's little car to go get my van at the dealer. They could not sit together for 15 minutes. "He's touching my coat!", "She's breathing on me!"blah, blah, blah..it ended with them in their rooms laast night with no screens just to quietly read & leave each other alone. Jeez.

So because the kids have school I forgot the bank was closed. So I made a trip over there for nothing.:rolleyes1

Dana gave me a dozen longstem red roses for Valentine's Day. :love:We had agreed no presents (we are saving $ for the cruise), but I couldn't resist either & bought him a new book I knew he wanted. :cloud9:

We're getting our third significant snowfall in the last nine days. I was really hoping to run some errands ALONE today, since Kevin is off, but that's not going to happen. I'm also bummed that Bunco is postponed tonight. I need to try to accumulate as many "escapes" as I can before Sammy gets here! :)

Between a staff development day, snow days, and a 2 hour delay (1/2 day kindergarten has no school on those days), Alyssa and Matty only had one day of school, each, last week. I have a feeling they'll be home tomorrow, as well.

I've actually uploaded some recent pictures!

Take care, DDA! Stay warm and safe! :wave2:

Thanks for all the birthday wishes here an on FB Saturday :)

Had a lovely day.....

The kids are off today and tomorrow  The fun never ends!! :rotfl:

I have the best husband in the whole world :love::love:

We were in the jewerly store last weekend dropping off one of my rings that needs a new shank. I pointed out a necklace that I thought would look great with my cruisewear. It was pricey so I never thought another thing about it. We were in there yesterday checking on the ring and I noticed that it was gone. I never thought that he had bought it. This morning he gave me a professionally wrapped box and inside was the necklace. The took my breath away and many tears were shed. Did I mention that I love this man :love: Eat your hearts out ladies ;)

Very nice!!

Good morning, DDA!

Holiday = no school = all the kids here. They're going to be so excited...we're cleaning the playroom!

Of course, my day would be a whole lot better if Chase wasn't a whining mess all morning all ready. Naptime is definitely in order today!

Our kids are off all week. They each need to get there rooms cleaned today too. I'm sure they'll be psyched when I break the news to them  We are also expecting snow this week. Thankfully the only thing on tap is work tonight and dentist appointments tomorrow morning. I need to get control of the house work as that has been on hold while I worked on the Lacrosse and 8th grade fundraising stuff as well as subbing at school. Life in the fast lane...what can I say

Yeah, so all our kids will love us. ;) I figured this was the best option as the playroom has slowly gotten out of control. I know part is Terra, but no where near even half of it. The little girls do some of it too, but then they aren't the only ones. And of course, when it's clean up time before leaving either 1) everyone has to leave too quickly and they aren't made to clean up or 2) "but I didn't get anything out" is the claim. Since Terra and I are usually the ones to do the big clean up on our own I decided that a school holiday might be the chance to share the joy.
