To say devastated is just not enough words. She has been helping me with getting a resume together and we found about a job opening that uses the same billing program I used. Plus having phone and customer service experience, I hope to get considered for this job.

If the company is intelligent they will jump at your experience. My heart goes out to you.

Hi everyone,

What a way to start my week. I nearly kill myself getting to work only to be "Let Go" because of budget cuts. so to work at 9am home by 11:30am. I am so shocked I cannot even think. My co-worker Awilda couldn't even speak!! I did post on Facebook that I was let go, but I will not go into much detail there.

This came out of left field because I really thought my job was secure with all of the things I do. I even asked the director who was gonna do it because she sure can't think Awilda is going to do that plus all of her work. It is very time consuming and very exact. Her words were, "we will spread it out over other people. That will be interesting since no one likes doing my job. Their comments are you are doing just fine. You keep doing it just like you do it now. I dealt with so many parents about their accounts and do a weekly electronic fund transfer and I just cannot wait to see who screws things up. I hope they lose a few parents because of this that is how mad I am right now.

Of course Stephanie is just devastated by this she can't even speak.

Terry -- what stupid people! It sounds like they made the short-sighted mistake of keeping the employee that hasn't build up as much salary and benefits at the expense of letting go of their true talent. Shame on them! It will come back to bite them. I just hope that the "bite" doesn't impact Steffy too.

Well, we only got about half of what they thought. Hope it does the same for you!

We are out of school, though, which is quite nice as Kristi decided to take the day off if the kids were off. So, nothing today until Terra's dance class at 5:00. Dance operates on it's own snow schedule and our roads aren't too bad right now so I'm sure she'll have it tonight.

Since we're clear enough, I think maybe we'll hit Chick Fil A for breakfast and then see from there.

Stephanie,

They have downgraded to a winter weather advisory, and we're supposed to get only 3-6" of snow, probably the lesser amount. The kids are still hoping that they call a snow day on the grounds that we haven't had one and are due. They may get their wish if the bulk of the weather comes at the right time. I'm sorry for all of you getting hit hard again. We really do need more snow here, though.
