DDA Chapter 24

Good Morning DDA!!

It is freezing here today and it snowed all night...but it will get up to almost 50 again this weekend so I will make some warm comfort food the next couple of days (chili and beef stroganoff) and enjoy not having anywhere to go.

Stephanie-I hope you feel better quick!! I got your card yesterday. You are just too stinkin' cute

I do hope Tammi and family are having fun.

Tia-I hope the car is just a short (have you checked the whatchmacallits rotfl: I can't think of the proper name)? My mom and I lost the heating/defrosting system on a trip home where it started out 70's and beautiful to 30's and snowy in the same day...we must have looked hilarious in shorts every few miles defrosting all of the windows. It turned out to be a fuse ( I remembered the name) short.

Terry-have a fun weekend at a beautiful beach wedding.

And do they give a credit for the days that you don't have service? NO. That would be why we canceled our home phone too!

Actually, they will. Because I will call and be VERY nasty to them. Just like I have EVERY OTHER TIME this has happened.

Yikes, Terry! I hope the weather cooperates for your flight! And I would bring something VERY warm to wear on the beach!

I have NO CLUE what I am going to wear to the "bathtism". I seem to own nothing between "jeans" and "after 5 formal wear". Add in the fact that it is only going to be something-teen degrees, and it gets even more complicated!!

Send that 50 our way!! I haven't checked any fuses yet. Partly, because it's been so cold and partly because Dad hasn't been home long enough to help look at anything yet.

I am at work, but my brain really is not. All I can think of is that I hope Hal and I can leave on time tomorrow from Baltimore to get down to Daytona Beach for Stevie's wedding!!!!!

It will be on the beach. Just hope it is not too stinking cold!!!

It's a 1996 Volvo 960. If he has any ideas, I'd love to hear them! Thanks. It started a few nights ago when it was about 6 degrees out. I've tried several times since then and gotten the same results, though the last time I tried yesterday, I didn't even get the ding, ding, ding when the key went in the ignition (door open and seat belt ding). I got a new battery about two months ago.

Chris says that it is definitely a battery issue. He said to check the battery connectors. One may be lose or corroded. It it isn't the connectors then you neeed a new battery. Shouldn't be too expensive.

I've gotten the bathroom ceiling painted. I need a good massage now. I guess trim is the next thing on my list.

The newspaper is saying we got 7 inches of snow so far. I just swept off the steps on the front & back porch, shoveled our sidewalks & brushed off our vehicles(somehow managed to break one of Garys wipers, oops!), I am tired lol The boys will get the driveway & this time they will have their work cut out for them.

The winds are suppose to pick up tonight with gusts up to 30 mph, so that means a lot of drifting snow. I really wonder if there will be school tomorrow????? I am glad I do not have to be back to work till Sat. I would have never gotten out of the driveway this morning!

All the Christmas decorations are down & put away, laundry is being washed & dried, & I have chili cooking in the crock. I think I have done my part for the day

Well, I went to check on my battery, wiggled the connections, etc. I got it started twice! Not sure if it will continue or if I did anything to help it. If it will start again in a minute, I'm going to run it up to Walmart to have them test the battery to make sure that isn't the problem. I also want to ask them about two spots on the negetive connector. The casing on the wires is worn so I'm wondering if that's part of the problem. I have, at least, eliminated cold as an issue as it's flippin' FREEZING out there right now and it started up.

I had to get my cables replaced in Dec Tia. Wasn't much money and done quick. i think it was under $60?
