DDA Chapter 24

Becky,
She's in 8th grade Spanish. She went to the lunch tutoring session & said that it really helped because her nutty teacher was not there. The other tutors were able to explain things to her better & she felt like she understood. Yes its an elective but we are also concerned regarding the college requirements..not to mention it looks good on a resume when you can speak any other language. Yesterday was very hopeful so we will see where she goes from here...

Good Morning! I'm sitting here with an extremely happy baby and thought I'd post and say hi since it's been a while. :wave2:

Good Morning DDA!!!!!!!!!

I am still tweaking my packing!!! Trying to get it down to one bag!!!!

I think my one bag is 44 pounds. I'm so excited!

Good morning, DDA!

Deb, I hope that the adjustment to the medications helps Hunter. His reaction sounds so frightening. I pray that he is able to find some peace before the surgery.

Ann Marie, I am glad that Katie felt better after the tutoring session. This is the first year that any of my kids have had struggles with school work. Laura is holding on to barely acceptable in several classes. What stress!

Chanon,

Glynis, if I remember correctly, you will be about an hour and a half from here. Have a wonderful trip! Those cinnamon rolls do look good. I make cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning every year and do make them the night before and put them in the fridge for the final rise. I'd like to try those, but my family is big on tradition (and hates changes), so I'll have to try those another time.

Ann Marie, where are you staying off-site?

I hope everyone has wonderful, magical, incredible Disney trips!

Good morning. :)

Have fun, Terry and Stephanie!

Anne Marie - I'm glad yesterday helped Katie. :wizard: that it continues!

I HAVE to do some Christmas shopping today. Other than the Ipods and a few video games, I have NO IDEA what to get my kids for Christmas. Nicholas is especially difficult.

I am the same say. I've asked for some ideas, and I get nothing. Matthew wants some more warm clothes. How exciting! Plus, I can't go out and buy him clothes. He'll need to be with me. How about something for under the tree?! I guess we're just really blessed.

I am bound and determined to buy less this year...truly I do not need more plastic crap in this house! Jackie wants an Ipod touch....so that it perfect. Now I need the other 3 to tell me something

Beth - What about a gift card to Matthew's favorite place to shop for clothes and another one for a place the two of you can go for lunch while you are out shopping for those clothes? They could be wrapped and put under the tree!

Tammi and Kristine - I hope you can find some things that will make the kids happy on Christmas morn!

I am delighted that the four of us have decided once again to skip presents this year. The trip is our big gift and the girls will buy us dinner one night while we are there. So it all is perfect.

I do understand that Santa cannot leave that kind of gift under your kiddies' trees! So... Good luck to all of you! :)

That's true, too! So many times I've bought things that are ignored a couple of days after Christmas.

Miles is actually pretty easy. Not only does he have a list of games that he wants, but he loves to read, needs new sheets, wears clothes that I buy, and is happy with just about anything.

Laura wants an iPod Touch, too, so we'll give her at least part of that. We did that for Matthew last year. I would like to get a few little things for her, but I have no ideas. Actually, if I wander around a little, I'll probably come up with a few things.

I guess I could wrap up pretend clothes for Matthew and go out to get them with him after Christmas. He'll be home until mid-January. I'd like to find him something a little "fun", too, but I have no ideas there. He is my most difficult.

Well, dh is really my most difficult, but I think we've agreed to not exchange gifts this year. Of course, I already know that he bought me the Toy Story Mania game for the Wii, so I will have to come up with a some little things.

How nice to hear from Chanon this morning! Love happy babies. :teeth:
