Hi DDA,

I know you all have the answers to this. To get my DGS picked for the Jedi training, I should arrive about 15 minutes before, stand in the middle of the front row and make sure my DGS acts really excited to do this right? Anything else?

And for my trip in 2011, when do you think Star Wars weekend will be???:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Thanks!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Ditto...

Jennifer, have you thought about the Kim Possible Adventure in EPCOT? My grandson and I are going to do it I think.

My Magical Express tags arrived today!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

we did that last year and she did love it.

Not anymore. They just recently stopped doing the random picking and there is now a queue for this. I guess they had too many mom's complaining that their child didn't get picked. If the search was working I could find a link with all the details.

Stephanie,

From Allears...

The process for selecting young "Padawans" for training at the Jedi Training Academy in Disney's Hollywood Studios has changed. There is now a standby line in which children can wait to be selected for the session -- they are now taken on a first-come/first-served basis, instead of randomly chosen from the audience.

There was a thread on "Theme Parks" the other day about this. If you want to be chosen you essentially go IMMEDIATELY to the Jedi line at rope drop. They will hand out some sort of card to the first 15 or so kids (ages 4-12 only). If you are not in the first group you may continue to stand there until they hand out cards for the second show. One lady said she stood in line for two hours to get spots for her kids. :scared: She also said it was worth it, but YMMV.

Does anyone else find that Staples (where the guy is yelling "Wow that's a low price!") commercial annoying? I mute it when I see it coming on.

Who thinks up these things..makes me want to go to Office Depot instead!

April 2008 Daniel was chosen in the first Jedi Training show. He was so excited. Sophie decided that summer she wanted to try, so we waited through 3 shows before she was chosen. It must have been 100 degrees & we were melting but she finally got up there & kicked some Darth Vadar butt.:rotfl:

I think its better to stand in line rather than just being chosen. Thankfully they were happy they got a chance & we do not have to do it again.

Just back from the interview....it was a group interview....yes, we were interviewed by 3 people but it was a group of 6 of us being interviewed. It was odd. I just hope I had enough sparkle to shine over about 3 of the others interviewed (3 just weren't up to snuff...I didn't think:rotfl:

Fingers crossed!

Jennifer if I do not respond it is because I have no answer :goodvibes

Glynis hope everyone is on the upswing & felling better!

Theresa crossing my fingers that your interview brings good results!

Beth sorry about the water in your basement.

Amy hope your kiddos stay sick free as well!

Gary says his foot/ankle feels a little better today, so we will see how it goes. I can't force him to see a Dr. unfortunately ;)

The rain & ice is gone, but now we have snow & strong winds. I am REALLY ready for SPRING!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto! And I'm glad the ice is gone. I hope you get Gary to go to the doc. He could be doing more damage walking around on it.

Ditto...

We did the Kim Possible on the last trip and I loved it! Probably more so than the kids, although they did get a kick out of a couple of the animated things.

Anne Marie - I hate that commercial too! And the other day they ran it back-to-back on one of our stations here. I left the room!

But, let us not forget that Staple's was also the company that had "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" commercial a number of years ago. That one stands out in my mind as one of the most delightful ads on TV! :)

Ah, that is true!!! I love that one! My kids don't!!!:rotfl2:

I see you got great answers already.

Will someone please remind me about the Kim Possible hunt closer to our trip? We've never done it and I'm sure I'll forget by then.

Today is handing out more donation requests. This job really stinks so I hope that I get most of them out there. Yesterday I did one local mini mall and LL Bean did give us a boat bag so that's one more thing. My Mom Talked to her Coke rep today and he will don't soda and water to the grad dance and he's going to try to create a coke product basket of some sort for the raffle. Maybe even Fisher Cat tickets (Vermont's minor league baseball team) I really hope all this effort pays off.

On a personal note. Chris and I had a great weight loss weekend. Neither of us ever lose over weekends and usually gain a bit, but not last weekend. I'm actually looking forward to weigh in on Friday (if I don't indulge before then of course) I think I may actually reach my final weight loss goal this time. We also ordered the P90X exercise program and that should arrive on Thursday. Chris has been wanting it for a while and I finally gave in. It is supposed to get you ripped in 90 days. I can't see myself ripped, but hope that it actually works :lmao: The boys plan on doing it too as they want to strengthen before lacrosse. Hunter can do this without worry so it will be good for them all if we can keep them interested.

That's the one that got me this morning(with the insomnia I use the tv as white noise to fall asleep to and it actually woke me up!)...it drives me loony!!!

Deb,

Good luck on Friday!!! Send me some of your motivation!

but that one doesn't play half as often as the annoying one (at least in this area)

I wonder if they do that now, at Disneyland. We went to 4 shows before Jacob got picked. It was worth it, in the end, but it took up a lot of valuable park time. I'm hoping that he won't want to do it again, when we go next time.
