Deb,

I wanted to pop in and tell you that Bill and I are thinking of you and Chris. I can't imagine your stress level. Stay strong!

We need some of Bill's good drugs ;) Things are certainly stressful.

Hunter and I went shopping at 4 am. We did well and didn't get caught in any huge lines. I really bought things for Hunter's hospital stay, not too much for Christmas, but I am not in bad shape anyway. We needed button front PJs, fuzzy socks, slippers and a new blanket for him. We were successful in finding it all. I do need to make a few modifications to his blanket, but it shouldn't take long. Hunter was tired by 7 am so my Dad came to get him and he went home and took a nap. I was really suprised that he even wanted to go, but he had a great time last year.

I ended up going to see my doctor this afternoon. I've had too many anxiety attacks and I need to be in my best state of mind to get through this. I'm now taking ativan and prozac. Hopefully it will help clear the cobwebs out of my brain, stop the chest fluttering and improve my overall emotional state. My Dad brought me.

I am sorry I missed this post earler.

I am glad you had a decent morning...I am sorry that the anxiety hasn't eased but I totally understand and hope that the medications help.

:hug::hug:Glad you were able to see your doctor.:hug::hug:

I am going to unpack and repack for the third time. The forecast is really, really upsetting me. I can't seem to coordinate shirts/pants/jacket/shoes without needing a checked bag. Which is asinine because it is only a 3.5 day trip. WHY can I not do this? :headache: WHY does it have to be so flippin' COLD? I told DH and DS that we are NEVER going in December again. I can't handle it. Between the weather and the 2 of them hounding me to buy stuff (like camera lenses and drums and other expensive crap) I have had it. No more December trips!

I just went to the mall to return a couple of things. A shirt that DS didn't need (we bought 9 T-shirts for him last week). And I bought some facial soap thinking I was out, but I am not out. The lady said they are discontinuing it, so I decided to keep it. Then I bought 2 long sleeved T's at Macy's because it seemed a shame not to buy anything. :rolleyes1 I like the one, I don't like the other, so MORE returns in my future!

The downfalls of packing too early! What is with this matching stuff? Don't sneakers and jeans go with anything?

I am exhausted. Got up thurs morning at 530 to go to work. work 12 hr shift, go to moms. Look at ads while watching the Texas longhorns and A&M game. Game over at 11pm well toys r us opens at 12. Ride with mom to take grandma home then we go to toys r us. its packed. found one of the toys we wanted. Got the diapers that were 2 for 10. Also found the Disney wheel of fortune and a butterfly house thing. after waiting in line for over an hour. leave their at 2am get to moms at 230am. Get about an 1:30 mins. sleep. Then to walmart for $3 PJs. the walmart did not get the toddler size in. But did buy some for them for next year. GOt the storage container things that were on sell. For future girl scout camping and general use around here. Off to Target. Got Kung fu panda, transformers and the 5th Harry Potter. Got a new DVD player for the girls room as the one they have is acting up. Also got some picture frames. Off to another walmart they are out of the pjs and the christmas ornaments. Off to a 3rd walmart. Found 2 of the $3 hoodies for Virginia and found the disney ornaments for Virginias exchange. To toys r us again. this time able to get in the electronics department. Got both Pochantoas movies on DVD. The ad said select movies on sale for 9 over 20 titles, but these were not labeled very well so had to scan lots of movies. got the $5 boxes of wipes.

Then to moms to get girls. Then Olivia was so upset she did not get to go shoping with me I waited to go to walgreens to get a few things.

Went to home depot to check out their trees as ours is to small for all of our ornaments. Did not like any of them. But did get some storage bins.

Waiting for Jeff to get home from work so I can go to bed. Got to work tomorrow.

But the best deal of the day was Jeff ran into best buy on his lunch break. They had a bunch of bluerays left. He found a samsung blueray marked 229 that was open I think, any way he got it for 179.

I'm glad to hear Hunter felt up to going, I hope the meds help.

Bernadette, the problem mainly stems from the new jeans being those hideous boot-cut things. I can NOT wear them with Crocs because they get all tangled and/or they drag the ground. I bought 2 pairs of really cute Born "clogs" at Marshall's to wear with the new jeans BUT the heels are too high for WDW. I am still dealing with the pain in my foot that I thought was a stress fracture back in the summer.

I have Merrells and Bandolinos that might work because they are lower than the Borns. But I can't wear either of those with capris. I may need to ditch the capris. I can't wear the denim jacket with jeans because that is too much denim. I can't wear the black & red jacket over the brown shirt. I can't wear the long johns under my old jeans because the jeans are too tight.

Oh, and by the way, Cuddl Duds run SMALL. I bought a Medium which says 10/12. No way. At best they are an 8, and not a generous 8, either! They have been in the drawer so long I can't remember where I bought them so I will just deal with it. Hopefully MVMCP will be the only time I need to wear them.

If I ditch the capris I will also ditch the denim jacket. I was going to wear capris on the plane but I probably won't because of the shoes.

Summer. From now on I will only travel in the glorious, sizzling temps of summer.

I'm glad you were able to get to the doctor. It sounds like the best decision. :grouphug: I'm glad Hunter was up for getting out with you. I'm sure it was good for him too.

The downfalls of packing too early! What is with this matching stuff? Don't sneakers and jeans go with anything?

And that's why my wardrobe consists of mostly jeans with a pair of khakis or black pants thrown in for nicer needs. Much easier to "match" things that way.

Yuck! Give me cold anyday. I think the anaolgy would be Elizabeth:cold::Tia :hot:.

I honestly can not deal with cold. And I do not have these wardrobing issues at home! :rotfl2:
I have a ton of jackets (because I can't pass a jacket in a store). I have a ton of shoes (despite not really being a big "shoe" kind of girl). I have jeans and capris that I can usually manage to coordinate with a shirt, jacket, and shoes. It's the part about the boot-leg jeans and the carry-on luggage that is befuddling me. Oh, and the cold. Let's not forget the COLD. :headache:

I could have thrown 5 pairs of capris in the bag with 5 T-shirts and 2 pairs of Crocs and been happy as a clam.

Sounds like everyone that went shopping had pretty good luck :thumbsup2

Deb glad you were able to get some meds from the Dr. I hope they help you :wizard:

Elizabeth I will take Florida cold over Illinois cold any day ;)

I do have to agree with Elizabeth, packing for summer is sooooooo much easier. I have been in December when it was cold enough for us to wear our winter coats, hats, & gloves..and I have been when we could go swimming so it's a crapshoot. Katie won't even wear long sleeves so she'll be in tee's & her hoodie..thats all the layers that she will do. None of us own long underwear so that's out. I am just glad we are driving so I can pack the car up with everything peice of clothing we have!:lmao:

Yep. 2006 was freezing, 2007 was HOT. I know I expected 2007 to be freezing so I almost didn't even bring any capris or short sleeves.

I bought a coat for DS but he doesn't like it. I may add it to my "return" pile. It will be a battle to get him to wear it even if it is really cold. So he will probably wear an undershirt, a long sleeved Gap T-shirt, and his sherpa lined hoodie. He has a pullover AKL hoodie that I packed, too. He also has a hat, scarf, and gloves. He has long underwear for MVMCP and his jeans are huge so fitting them under the jeans will be a piece of cake.

I warned you over a month ago that you needed to settle the jeans issue but you insisted you had enough! I told you it would be your fault if it was cold.........

You know at a full week out it is too early to really worry about it! I don't find accuweather very accurate.

August is much easier!!! And smaller stuff too! I've been with highs in the high 80's and lows in the 30's on the same trip-more than once.

Dorinda was with me on one of those 30's trip but she insists that it can NOT get that cold in FL in December. She is usually one of those people that everything works out for so I'm hoping her streak continues!!!!

I may add it to my "return" pile.
I have to return a pair of pants for Lizzy and a turtleneck for me to Kohl's. They have a generous return policy so I won't kill myself to do it before the trip.

I do have to return the stuff I bought at Lowe's for DH. It really wasn't what I wanted and was more expensive than I wanted to pay. I don't even want to bring it into the house-it is still in my car so maybe I'll go there before or after my 10am hair cut. I don't think I'll buy what I do want because now I'm thinking I should do more research. That can wait til after my trip.

I DID settle the jean issue, but only as it pertains to wearing jeans in my home city! I have 6 new pairs, 3 fit exactly right. So I can bring those 3 plus my favorite old pair and be covered for the trip, but then the shoes/shirts/jackets confound me. I can only fit one pair of shoes in the bag, so the shoes I wear on the plane need to be useful. BUT since I won't have the laptop if I get desperate I may shove shoes in my backpack.

Maybe I will buy another AKL throw blanket, wrap myself in it, and spend the entire weekend in front of the fire pit at the resort!

I have looked at weather.com 3 times today, and the forecast for my days has changed every time.

The new shirt I bought tonight is still a tiny bit damp from the wash and my Bandolino shoes are still at the cobbler. When I get my shoes back tomorrow I will dump the suitcase and start over again.

I was looking over our dates for next summer.
Right now we have 12 nights booked through DVC, 3 at US/IOA. BUT we may not go to Universal after all. That's not important.

DH's vacation bid is Thursday. Hopefully he will get the weeks we want, but if he doesn't I am wondering if we can make our second week our first and just add from there. That way we won't have to scrap our entire villa ressie. It just so happens that if we do that the points we have from the nights we will cancel will EXACTLY cover 9 more nights. It is squirrelly because the point chart changes season in the middle of our dates.

If we don't get our first choice we will gain 2 nights at WDW and just cancel the US/IOA component. That would make our total stay 14 nights instead of 15, but having an extra day to recover might be good.

Our third choice is to go in August, like we always do. But our APs will be expired, so it would be better to go earlier.

I must be unfashionable....I wear the same jeans with sneakers and shoes....

Then you would have APs to go next December.:lmao:

It's more of a tactile thing that a fashion thing. If I try to wear those jeans with my Crocs I will be very cranky all day from my pants being tangled in my shoes. I have sneakers, but I don't really wear them unless we are going to a 5K or something. Maybe I need new ones that would be more multi-purpose? ;)

No. No, we are NOT going next December. This trip has been a bad idea from the word "go". We should have just waited until next summer to go back instead of spending the money on airfare just to stay for 3 days. Not to mention paying cash for the room because we are out of DVC points.

I'm glad to hear that you are getting some treatment to help you through this.

Good Morning,

Yesterday was INSANE, it was the busiest I think I have ever seen Black Friday and I've been in retail for the past 23 years.

I hadn't even looked at the weather for next weekend, you know me I don't pack until the day before we leave. I don't mind the cold as much as I hope we don't get the showers with the cold Saturday. :scared1:

We're taking the kids to MVMCP Friday night so I guess we better be prepared to bundle up.

Off to another day of madness
