DDA Chapter 23

Stephanie - Speaking out of turn is so minor!! If I was going to hit a kid I would make sure it was for something worth losing my job over! (For the record I don't hit kids. Not even my own kid.) It sounds like the teacher needs to be terminated. :sad2:

Debbie - TAKE IT EASY! I hope the new meds kick in soon! :wizard:

DS doesn't have a fever this AM, so off to school he goes. He seemed to feel FINE last night except for the stuffy nose. He skipped Improv class and I certainly do NOT think he was sick enough to warrant skipping. The agreement was that if he skipped Improv he would REST. When I came home he was playing the drums like a wild man.

Nothing else going on here.

Good Morning,

I'm going against DH's wishes and trying to go to work today, I think possibly that things are improving. This is nuts, I only have a week left before the trip and I haven't got anything ready.

Take it easy there, at least, Debbie! You'll be ready for your trip...it'll all come together in the end.

Good morning. :)

Today I'm chaperoning Nicholas' field trip to Jamestown. I hope it's fun!

Sounds fun! Enjoy.

:wizard:Take care of yourself!

Debbie I hope the second round does the trick. :wizard: I am looking forword to meeting you and Rich.

Stephaine the teacher needs to go! If that is how she handles talking out of turn, then I hate to see how she handles other stuff. :sad2:

Good morning, DDA!

I hate when it's been a long day already and it's not even 9am. Actually, not long, just busy. I took Phil to work at 5 and then did my comp shop. Doubly good because I also happened up the vampire teeth I needed for Phil and hadn't been able to find so that's good! Came home and got my computer work done. Now I've got to run up to the mall to get Kalyin as Erin has a last-minute work issue. It will be short and I'm getting breakfast out of it so why not! ;) After that, it's cleaning and decorating for the party. The games are finally in order and the food is planned. Just have to get the ingredients and then tomorrow we'll get some of the food ready ahead of time. Yeah! It's working. Plus, there are actually kids coming! (Always, my fear - that no one will be able to come.)

Stephanie came into work this morning looking happy and refreshed. Can't wait to go to lunch to get all the gossip. (well as much as she can tell!!!)

I am getting over a nasty cold. I even had a temp on Sat and Sun. Now I just have that annoying cough that will linger on and on. I will sound like I am coughing up a lung for the next two or three weeks!!!!

If I have to, I will visit the DR right before our trip so I can get a written statement advising it is just a cough, nothing else.

36 DAYS TO GO!!!!!! :cool1::dance3::yay::woohoo::thumbsup2:cheer2:

Yes I am, when I hit 40 days left I packed. I try and follow Elizabeth's rules for packing. :thumbsup2

Hope the kids stay healthy and have fun trick or treating. :wizard:
:confused3I thought the rules were 2 weeks. I'm in trouble if its 40 days cause I'm not packed and I think I'm at 32 days. I bet I won't be packed at 2 weeks either-gotta get a better idea of what the weather might be. I like packing for August better. We'll have to take a mix of clothes in December but I need to know if I should pack more warm weather clothes or more cold weather clothes.

Thanks for the well wishes on the kids. Joe is home today (as am I) but he seems fine! I hope he can make his field trip. We called his room mother to let her know they might be short a chaperone if DH can't make it and she said the middle school football team has the swine flu. Lizzy's scout leader's oldest is on that team and her DD is in Lizzy's class-sits right next to her and her DS is in Joe's scouts. I don't think what Lizzy had this weekend was the swine flu-all the same syptoms but seemed too short lived. If she's going to get it she better get it quick so she's 100% for our trip.

Sounds exhausting but I'm sure the party will be lots of fun!

Glad to hear Steffy is less stressed today!!!!

:wizard:Hope your cough goes away so you can travel without issue!

Amazingly, though, I feel more ready for this than I usually do. The cleaning part isn't much - just the usual kitchen clean up, plus some playroom and I want to get to part of the dining room (which has to be done by Thanksgiving anyway). The games are simple and mostly ready. The food is pretty easy, just needs to be done. The hardest part is baking a cake and getting the ingredients so no big deal. I hope it is fun. Terra's excited so really that's all that matters.

The Official Packing Rules state you must be packed in full a minimum of 12 days prior to departure. If Heidi likes to pack 40 days ahead, more power to her! :rotfl2:

I am not even thinking about packing yet. Today is our 35 day mark.

You have 20 already with 6 more expected or 20 should be the final total? (Either way, though, :scared1: )

20 now with up to 6 more expected. You all know you are envious of me and the snow!:rotfl2:

(this amount doesn't include the 3/4 inches that fell and didn't stick. )

Kathrin's airfare is booked for our family trip! :yay:

And, I have a room mate for the first 2 nights of my stay. Another DISer had planned to be at WDW for a long weekend when we are there and had to cancel her trip unexpectedly. I had the room, she had the AP and an AirTran credit, so her trip is back on! :)

That is just nasty. :scared: Are you telling me you LIKE it?!?!? :upsidedow

I would probably love it, but only if it were say Dec or Jan. Oct, not so much.
